Hi, everyone. Just wanted to give a quick update on what’s new in the PLAYSTATION Store this week. Let’s get straight to the good stuff with four new demos:
• Skate
• NBA 08
• Sega Rally Revo
• Stuntman: Ignition
We’ve also released a new downloadable game, LocoRoco Cocoreccho!, for $6.99. In addition to several new wallpapers, we’ve also posted up some great trailers and videos – everything from GT5 Prologue to Ratchet and Clank Future to Devil May Cry.

@ Scott you really should go back and read all of your post so that you can see how stupidly ridiculous you sound right now. Also I am willing to bet that most of these people make more than you since you obviously can not pass a drug test, and most of us choose to live above the influence.

You guys rock, i suggest banning whiners that are aski9ng for crap, and make the forums a little easier to find for them.
Yeah, ban the owners of the playstation products. That’ll make’em even happier. If anything Sony should make this site for PS3 ONLY OWNERS… by making us register our PS3 serial numbers with the site and that could be our pass words.
That’s my solution. If you have a legit complaint and have a serial number to back up your ps3… well, I see no reason why Myself and a few others can’t be here telling Sony what it is they need to work on. The more vocal, the more they’re gonna hear. IF they think they’re doing alright and nothing is going to change, because of you all that kick sugar down Sony’s throats. Get with it.

#32.if i can be of any help here goes…if you have a standard crt than thats what you get your basic tv. now if you have 720 you’ll be able to go as high as 720. now if you have standard plus 720 plus l0801than you’ll be able to go as high as l080l. now if you purchased the ultimate model l080p than you’ll be able to have 720 and l080l and l080p but don’t forget your hdmi accessory. i have a bravia 5.1 theater system and can adjust to my tv to the limit which is l080l. salesmen at future shop and best buy etc. should be explaining this to buyers. in japan the customer is electronic savvy .sad to say here we seem not to even read the manuals

I have had a 360 since launch, and I love it but I also love my ps3 too. The 360 has a ton of downfalls and the ps3 has some too. The difference is which company will resolve thier problems with thier consoles in the coming months and years, Microsoft or Sony? My money is on Sony and the ps3, the 360 is what it is and it’s not getting any better.
btw this is not a forum, it’s a comment area for a blog. I noticed you had about 30 comments that’s pretty ridiculous, you should head over to the playstation forums and preach. Instead of spamming in a blog comment area.

Great update! These past few weeks have been phenomanal!!
My only concern is with all this great content it seems the download speeds are taking a huge hit. Averaging 1% every 10 minutes is highly unacceptable on a 1.4MB download connection. Why do the downloads appear to be stalling out as well?
Also, are there any plans to have the downloads cache as they’re downloaded? It’s a bit redundant having to install a demo after downloading it.
Sorry, that’s 14MB download connection, not 1.4MB. That’s why these download speeds seem a bit atrocious.

Lmao, if the PSN can’t handle DL content how is it going to handle a platinum AAA title. You haven’t seen one hit the ps3 and is why no one is complaining yet about network conditions. You think the conditions with Warhawk are bad, image teh same amount of people that people Halo on the PSN. Can you say system failure?
before i leave you bloggers for the night i have made a discovery that will be helpful….after spending the last two days on the blog i now know who the whiners are..the chronic complainers are and most importantly who the winners are….so now when i return to this blog i will not read the bloggers comments that are screaming for attention.. it is like the child who only gets attention when they are brats so thats the only way they know how to behave.we all need to ignore them until they have learned appropriate behavior
Ostrich Syndrome, the Dreamcast suffered from the same symptoms before its demise. Lets apply it to the PS3 as well.
My DLs are freezing again. 4th week in a row. It’s not nearly as bad as prior weeks but I still strongly urge Sony to stop throwing all the content on Thursdays.
The Australian Store got SCREWED AGAIN!
We got LocoRoco but *no* new demos.
Way to reward your most loyal customers Sony (highest selling PS3 region per-capita). I know this is the US PS Blog, and normally I’d complain on the Australian PS3 Forums, but they’ve been broken and offline for the past f’ing month and I’ve not recieved any replies from support for around 6 weeks about other issues.
I’m really getting jack of this. Sony Australia is a complete f’ing joke. Maybe someone inside SCEA reading this can fly down here and kick some arses to get the ball rolling again.
SCEA leading the way with how a store should look. Credit to whoever is in charge of the store at the moment, you’re doing a great job. I can recall what it was like back in the early days around launch, it’s a much different picture now.
That being said, are Factor 5 working on a demo for Lair. It needs a demo Sony, many people are staying away from it because of the reviews, let them try it out for themselves and you might see quite a few more sales.
I’m going to ask about PSN cards also, because many people still can’t purchase things off the store. Where are they? When are they coming?
Last, I keep saying this, where are the PSone games? I was eagerly awaiting the PSone emulator for the PSP. Are you guys working on a PC store like Japan got the other day? Thanks for any feedback.
Oh and to everyone complaining about their territories’ store, SCEH, you’re fairly useless too. SCEA rule one and all at the moment. However, It’ll be sweet around October 20th though when the GT5 Prologue demo hits Asia and SCEA will be left with nothing. Can’t believe you’re going to let that happen, prepare yourself for some angry PS3 owners.
Anyhow, keep up the good work with the US store!

It would be great if Sony could release demos whenever they are available. This will also make sure that the servers won’t be overloaded on thursdays.

lol.. no way! not in europe and guess what Sony doesn’t kick you when you go to another store like MS does. this point you made makes you realy look dumb… I got my US/Europe/Japan account so i don’t see the problem. but MS has it easy, it get a sh*t load o cash for noting and do not have to make stuff for an hendheld or redundant system like the ps2.. no the just drop the old and start all over again.. like they will in 2010 when the next piece o junk comes out.. @158: Yeah, I have problems with the PSN every single time. I’ve gotten in the habit of queuing up a bunch of downloads then pausing and resuming them one after another. It’s funny that Sony can’t get a simple thing like FTP working right. I can do it in 5 minutes on a linux box by editing a text file. :)
Seriously, whoever is in charge of the PSN, get some network monitoring tools and figure out why downloads have to freeze every time.
