OMG, I sweat that I am going to go absolutely crazy if I don’t get that demo of SKATE that you have been holding on to for half of a month now. Is this what I get for supporting you? I get to watch guys with XBOX360 play a demo of a great game that I want to play that you HAVE a demo to that you just won’t release. Can you at least give us a reason for not being able to play the demo?

First off… Great job the past couple of weeks.. But since you guys have been listening to us here’s my concern… What ever happened to the PS1 downloadable games? We’re still waiting for great PS1 games such as Xenogears, MGS1, FF series, etc. What’s happening with this? Also, the demos are great… but why on XBL first? I already played the Stranglehold demo, why do you guys get the demos after Microsoft?
after seeing the flak that LAIR took decided to rent the game instead of going out and purchasing it immediately as I had previously planned to do. I am glad I did. It’s not so much that the motion controls are bad (which they are good when they actually register), but the frame rate I don’t think ever stops degrading. It’s one of the worst frame rates I’ve ever seen. Sony, you should have delayed the game again for the love of dragons. I have never seen a game that looks so incredible and exciting and yet it is just about unplayable because of the frame rate and extremely spotty motion controls. I am not against motion controls, if they work I would probably be more for it than not, but if they are going to be this shoddy then why not give us an option? If you guys fix the game’s frame rate and controls, you would have a winner and I will purchase the game immediately, but as it stands I took it back to the video store before it was due back.

Awesome up-date SONY!! You guys keep up the good work. But I also do suggest to put out a LAIR Demo, I know it has nothing to do with you per-say, but Factor 5. The only reason I am saying a Lair demo, it is because it has gotten a lot of bad press. The bad press is keeping a lot of people away (like me) from buying the game. Add a lengthy demo, and we can judge for ourselves, if we like the demo, we buy the games!!!

What’s going on with High Stakes on the Vegas Strip: Poker Edition? Is this game done and being held back because of the recent flurry of high profile content (Warhawk a few weeks ago, Super Puzzle Fighter last week, and now the MotorStorm addon content and Ninja Gaiden content this week) or is it actually not really finished yet?

So finally I got my hands on a copy of Lair and indeed what a disappointment. The game could have been more than great, but it just does not cut it. Word of advice to people who still have faith in Lair, guys, its bad! The reviews are harsher than they should but you know what, for a game like this, you expect nothing but the best. All we ended up with is a buggy, frame-dropping, and a frustrating-control system that does not give us a choice to play the way we want. Sony, you owe us an update for Lair that fixes these problems.

I bought the ps3 from day one when it was released here in Europe. Until now I have bought 8 eight games (boxes) and almost everything that has come out on the psn. I have 15 more games booked for delivery when released. I buy a couple of blu ray-movies every month. Right now I’m in a buying process to buy a new full HD 46” lcd in the upper segment. I am active in several forums and I also host matches in different multiplayer games. You could summarize it by saying that I am a good customer from a financial point of view and also from a word of mouth perspective.
So, am I a satisfied customer?
No, not really.
1. I got the box later than the rest of the world (Japan & US).
2. When I got it, it was a less good machine (backwards compability) for a higher price.
3. Sony officials said in Swedish media that the ps3 should not sound more than 20 decibels. Did it sound more? Yes it did. Better than competition but still not as you communicated.
4. In Europe we have no dialogue with officials.
5. Different markets get different products (PSN) Yes, we are different markets so you want to localize your product before release. Sony, as you want to localize to be modern from a marketing point of view. Do not forget that the consumer is also getting more modern. If I go in the local store and buy milk for one dollar. If I see the next consumer also buy milk for 50 cent (or get offered a new kind of milk) I get mad. Internet has made that local store global.
6. I must wait for a lot of the third party games to be released for my platform. Compared to competition. Many of them with less good quality (graphic, framrate etc) Sony from my consumer perspective your relationship to third party developers seems not to be in good shape.
7. Demos and content overall, available for us consumers compared to competition is not good.
8. The SW on ps3 do not offer as much as competition.
a. It’s harder to communicate with your friends.
b. The accessability (in.game xmb) is lacking
c. Why can’t I listen to music when folding? Do not come with the argument that the folding should get all the power. How much power can music take?
d. Why can’t I even look at trailers on the official playstation blog with the ps3 browser?
e. Etc
f. Etc
Yes you have some awesome games coming in the near future but that has competition to. Yes the design of the ps3 and the xmb is really nice but that is not key in this situation. Yes blu ray is great, well I will miss movies. Perhaps I will buy a regular blu ray.
Your transactional way of doing business along with the discrimination of different markets (I cannot se it in another way really) is really getting to me.
If you do not act up I will change my ps3 to an Elite. I will buy a sharp or Samsung instead of your KDL-46X3500. I will cancel my booked games and stop buying blu ray discs. And worst of all for you guys, I will start to be one of them that says on forums and to friends; Sony? Nah, not a company that delivers.

Im sorry dude…but Sony as a whole wont even address the US issues so do yo really think they’ll address yours??
My suggestion is…you already bought the PS3 like myself…use it for what its good for right now and watch some movies…after all it is the least expensive Bluray player on the market..BUT if your a gamer then buy a 360 to play games since PS3 isnt putting their attention into games…besides like every game is multiplatform now…360 gets everything (games,demos,dl content) way before PS3 does and 360 versions look better and are in higher resolutions…i havent abandoned Sony but they’re on the back burner until they decide to step up the sad efforts if you can even call it effort.
Oh and Sony TV’s are WAY overpriced…i almost bought one and got a Samsung 50″ DLP HDTV compatible with all resolutions from standard to 1080p and got it half the price of the equivilent Sony

anyway I’m not from Europe or Japan but I feel for you, I really do. We got HS, GRAW2, Dirt, Genji,Stranglehold, NBA,Ridge Racer,GT demos. And I’m pretty sure you don’t even get a fraction of those demos. I understand that there is a different market, Japan seem to get all the PS1 games, Europe gets…ummm…what do they get? Oh i think maybe trailers for games or movies…but its an “alternate” version. The U.S gets….i’m gonna guess movie trailers cuz demos…well japan gets those too, i dunno how many trailers they get every week for Superbad and such.
Hope they don’t lose another customer especially for the people that buy not just Playstation stuff but Sony brand named stuff in general. Not me tho…brand names just up the price XD

I almost forgot it was download day Warhawk had me lost, fix the stat system for warhawk I see others with unlocked items and I would have a ton for the killing sprees I have went on , I feel cheated very cheated, and I don’t wanna be ranked a Noob anymore! on topic love the update, two weeks in a row so let’s keep that ball rolling and for my online buddys cross the pond share the content with all regions we should’t have to check diferent stores for the same company UNIFIED store content( and p.s.. take the motostorm petition with more than a grain of salt)

You really need to go take a look at the release schedule of games before making comments about all games being exclusive. I can give you 7 EXCLUSIVE games coming out before the end of the year ONLY ON THE PS3.

EU gets the crap end of the stick every time.
Price is just horrible. In Norway the PS3 costs 1100 US$, and you guys are complaining about 499US$ and 599US$.
Also, why not make the non localized versions available for EU at the same time as the US. What’s the problem with that? The localized versions could be released later.

and that’s not including SingStar(don’t know if it’s coming to the US), NBA ’08(same game every year), and Home(not really a game).
so to tell you the truth, I am very happy with the game lineup. I have Resistance, MotorStorm, Ninja Gaiden, GRAW2, and Warhawk…..and I haven’t beat any of them. So when I go to play my PS3, I have to make a choice of which game I want to play. I don’t have the choice of playing any of those games(except for GRAW2) on my 360….which has been collecting dust for the past month and a half since I got my PS3.

I didn’t forget Dirt and Time Crisis 4, those are going to the 360, so they are not exclusives.
Also, I didn’t list any PSN games, which Wipeout and GT5 Prologue are. I don’t think GT5 Prologue will be on disc, will it?

Great update guys. Glad to see some of the stuff promised during the original unveiling of the PS3, such as DLC and variety in content, is being delivered. Hopefully Warhawk will have it’s share of DLC coming too, seeing as it was one of the first games to have the DLC announced way back in the day.
Stranglehold demo was good, but I hear that you guys have plenty more demos in your hands that aren’t released yet. Don’t hold out for too long guys! :)

Time Crisis 4 is not going to the 360, it is exclusive.
Sony I’m proud of you, you guys are really trying to be the best, keep listening to us on this blob and we will keep it real I know it seems like we are demanding but we want to be a part of the best experence ever, great work on this and last weeks store updates, God bless you for Warhawk, and help these third party fellows from making games look bad on my Ps3 cause right now I’m rolling with first party only till they get right.

the exclusive games are indeed finally coming out…but from what I hear about Lair…doesn’t sound like i should waste 60bucks on it, granted I don’t believe reviewers much, i’m gonna give Lair a rent of course to find out if its THAT bad or if people just can’t get around the sixaxis learning curve. I mean…can you imagine Heavenly Sword not being as great as we hope? I support PS3 still…but I’ve actually had thoughts of buying a 360 or Wii because Metroid just looks fun cuz of the nunchuk, 360 because they got C&C3 already, plus get alot of games ahead of the PS3. I used to actually be against what Loucifer was saying…but after all the defending I’ve had to do…i got quite honestly tired of it.

I don’t plan on buying anything Sony brand especially a hdtv, I’ll possible upgrade to the new psp as soon as they release some better colors or something. I pushed out $600 dollars on a gaming system, I gotta cut back on something and if I can get the same quality for a better price…i’m definitly going for that better price.

So this is the future of gaming today. Pay for everything a la carte. What a rip off. Thank you Sony, for proving their is no such thing as integrity in the gaming industry anymore. Thank you Sony for being just like MS by attempting to gouge your customers. I guess you need to make up for your loss of profits somewhere, why not the suckers who bought into your PS3 hype.
I am impressed two weeks in a row way to go sony. The next few weeks(and months) are going to be amazing with home, uncharted and heavenly sword coming out.

yes, Warhawk is an awesome game. … when you can play it. You’re probably among the lucky who haven’t had problems getting in, but others are having real problems. I’ve had network timeout errors, game full messages on not quite full games, unable to join messages for no apparent reason whatsoever, and for the coup de grace my PS3 tends to lock up whenever it bloody well feels like it while I’m playing this game. I’m not really concerned about the stats not being updated for everyone, for me that’s small potatoes.
So, yes, it does pwn, whatever that means, but Sony and friends were able to get it ass backwards, at least for some of us. Jerks.
see not these are the store updates ive been waiting for. Man NBA Live 08 came a LONG way. Make me rethick gettin NBA2K8. Not all we need is 2K9 demo, Uncharted, and LBP demo and ill be really happy. Good job on the update though. I am finally impressed. Next week is going to be tough, hard to be these pat two updates.
