Hi, this is Kyle, I’m a producer here at SCEA’s Santa Monica Studios. One of the titles I am working on, and quite frankly playing most often, is Heavenly Sword. I’ve read a lot of your comments on this blog about this title and I’m happy to confirm the reports that we’ll have a downloadable demo coming this week to the PLAYSTATION Store.
The complete game is still set for September, but I think you’ll find this demo is a great sample of what’s in store and it’ll certainly give you a good idea of the look and feel of the game. To set the stage here, at the beginning of this demo, our heroine, Nariko, gains consciousness after a violent encounter with the evil King Bohan and his army. Nariko learns that Bohan is holding her father, Shen, prisoner inside a massive temple complex so she sets out to fulfill her destiny and embarks on a quest for vengeance against the invading King and his army.
Keep a lookout for the demo on the PLAYSTATION Store this week, I’m anxious to read what you guys think of it.

Having Lunix on your PS3 is like having Windows on your PC. I think that the question is what cant you do. Even runs PC games. Caution it eats HDD space. And make sure that you use the Yellow Dog version.
I was hoping that was the cover art!

Ghost – The thing is that the ps3 will down scale 720p to 480 on the certain HDTVs that do not take 720p including some CRTs, RPTs and Plasmas – so we would be playing an HD gam in non-HD, so not going to get my money for that
That Boxart is fantastic, I can’t wait for the demo tomorrow. This has been My second “sorry Metal Gear Solid is always number one on my hype list” most anticipated game on the ps3 I can’t wait.

So you have to hold R1 or L1 to be in the other two stances. Wonder how that’s going to feel….sounds a little bit weird.

Yes, you hold R1 for one stance and L1 for the other so that you can change your fighting style in the middle of combos.
Anyone see the pics with 3D Glasses yet? And whats with the site for UPDATE for 1.9 down.. I want to post something in there dang it… must got full or there gathering ideas from everyones Comments.. eather way i hope they fix that problem…

He is a dumb [DELETED] because Sony is working very hard to get us the features we request we all should thank sony for what theve done so far and stop [DELETED] about needing in game xmb. We wil get it sony is working on it for the next update.
Sony is doing a great job with the PS3 and also a good job at listening to what us gamers want. Cut them some slack.

This is awesome news!!! This game already looks amazing I can’t wait to demo it. Hopefully that will tide me over until the game is released.

So today it begins. This demo should be up in the stores later on today, depending on which time zone you’re in. Everybody’s Golf 5 is released in Japan today, let’s see if it can kick start some momentum over there. Then it’s Lair in a few weeks. Next-gen starts now. Can’t wait to play this, hope it plays as good as it looks.

We have like NO games (newest one is Cash Guns Chaos), we have NO Calling all cars, NO Superstardust HD, and don’t even get me started on movie trailers…Kung Fu Hustle??!! come on. really, please, I want to spend money on the network, but there is absolutely nothing there worth getting…

Where are you guys at? I dont think that they ment midnight eastern time. This blog is western time. And the guys @ Sony are not at work right now. At least I dont think.
Firmware releases always come out at midnight Eastern time. I can’t remember when the store usually updates but I thought it was the same. I keep refreshing the store but no dice.

I dunno about anyone else…but i’ve noticed the store doesnt update until after about 6pm Eastern time…im in NY and have never gotten an update earlier…

Updates for PS Store usually happen on Thursday at around 6:00 PM EST. Oh yeah lets all come here tomorrow, and give the devs. some feedback of the DEMO. I hope it does not disappoint, because this is the game on the top of my wish list this year!!
I’m curious… will the guys in charge of PSN will give us the update a bit early? Dunno… maybe by 12pm?? That should be great from Sony.

i HOPE this game is in 1080p. the Demo will tell but i will be very upset if the sony 1st party titles this year arent 1080p. every game on 360 is 1080i or upscaled to 1080p
