Still haven’t had time to finish this….but I’m still buying this version ?? I need help ?
“Digital pre-orders will come with an original Persona 5 Royal Theme as a bonus and all the original Persona 5 DLC will be free for all Persona 5 Royal players.”
What this means exactly? That only those who preorder the digital version will get the original DLCs for free? I have Persona 5 on disc and I bought all DLCs for the game. If I buy the disc version of P5 Royal will I get those DLCs again (I’m not asking for posible new DLCs, but the old ones)?
And another question. If you are releasing the same game again (with a lot of extra content) at full price instead of releasing an upgrade, why isn’t everything included in the regular version and you release some content as DLC?
Agreed, I am disappointed. I have Persona 5, enjoyed the game. Was really excited when I first heard about this, but then I realised there’s no upgrade option and that’s not cool. I don’t want to buy full price again the same game I already own.
It’s certainly disappointing, but also kinda expected. They did the same thing with Persona 3 and 4, after all. Although I’d wish they’d evolve with the times like Kingdom Hearts which seems to be releasing the upgrade as DLC too.
For those not familiar with Kingdom Hearts, they usually rerelease the games with extra content and call them “Final Mix” versions. For KH3, they’re doing a paid DLC instead (Although I wouldn’t be surprised if they release a bundle with the base game and the DLC, and call it “Kingdom Hearts III Final Mix”)
