  • Good price for LEGO Jurassic World on PS4. Besides that everything else isn’t exactly great, like usual.

    • Not good for Lego LotR though, which the US did for $5 a few months back.. which was around £3.30 or so at the time!

  • That’s a lot of LEGO…..

  • Why Europe NEVER gets a flash sale?

    • You will hear answear sounding more or less like:
Rep: SCEE and SCEA are seperate entities and they do not have the same deals for various reasons…
People: Than why there is one PS+ offer
      REP: (silence)
      People: (heavy breathing)

    • We had Bloodborne that one time. That was a flash something. I think the term sale has lost meaning somewhere along the way.

    • Because once there was a flash sale with 1 title and it was something like 5% or 10% off and people were questioning if EU team could comprehend the meaning of “flash sale”

    • Man, you would have never survived the PSone days.

    • @Izorpo

I don’t think you do either. A Flash sale is a quick sale, not a big sale. It could be 90% off, but it could just as easily be 2% off. Such sales typically last for 48 hours. In the case of PSN, they are usually between 48-72 hours. The sales themselves have been all over the place in value, however.

    • @drd7of14
You obviously have no idea what the OP was asking. So I will spell it out for you…A European was asking why SCEE never has flash sales (in regards to comparison with SCEA). You would think someone with an American account would have already known the difference as you are reading a European blog as well as your own US blog. Europeans read the American blog too so we actually KNOW the difference… but you aren’t interested in that. You think it has to do with the comprehension or rather misunderstanding of a concept. Do you even read a comment thread or just decided to single “me” out?

EU PSN has had 1 “flash sale” for 1 item and the US gets one EVERY month with LOADS of titles and far cheaper than us in Europe pay as America has some inflated delusional view of its currency with the rest of the world.

Not to mention we in Europe have to subsidise you by paying MORE for hardware, software, games retail and digital. That’s inclusive of sale prices too. You want to trade your monthly flash sale with the one we had at some point last year fine let’s trade.

    • @lzorpo
“Not to mention we in Europe have to subsidise you by paying MORE for hardware, software, games retail and digital.”

We don’t pay more. Economically speaking, we pay less. For Americans, $50 is more money out of their budget.

    • @RappyPhan
We pay less? That totally depends on where you come from. Maybe you as a Belgian pays less “economically speaking”, but for the budget of me as a Slovenian? These stuff are expensive as hell. That’s why I only buy either used games or games that have a large discount on PSN.

  • Nothing for me this week, glad to see the deal of the week is finally back though!

  • I reckon Titan Souls downloaded to my Vita might help me get through tonights night-shift

    • Titan Souls is the only one appealing to me. Been waiting for a discount for ages.

    • It’ll be on plus next month :/

    • @Thug: what the hell are you talking about.

    • @ThugETH
Please don’t share false information. It “will” be, and “I think it will be” have very different meanings. As to not confuse people, making them think that it will be available next month, would more than likely stop them from making the purchase they were so interested in, only to be [DELETED] when it’s not available next month.

    • Yeah, These guys are right Titan Souls looks good, there’s no way Sony will give away a game we actually want.

    • Actually I just saw the reviews on Steam. Don’t Want!

    • Or you could play the demo on Steam and judge for yourself.

People misinterpret the fact that because they’re **** at a game, it’s suddenly not good.

  • not bad, I wonder how is Magus game on PS3?

    • It’s trash. You pretty much hold 1 button and move around for 5 hours to get a Platinum Trophy. It’s really bad.

    • @Rawanz

The sad thing is now you’ve mentioned an easy plat you’ve probably just sold about 10 people on it.

    • @X_Blood_Curse_X

I’m almost certain most people already knew about it :p

    • It’s funny though every time you pick up an orb it makes a poo splashing sound “plop plop plop”.

Otherwise it’s dreadfull….think PS2 type graphics without being scaled up. A story that makes Lost Rebellion look like a good game with a deep story. It’s hilarious though like watching Michael Hasselhoff music videos. For a £1.48 that’s roughly 30p for an hour of entertainment.

The Raven is pretty bad as well…but Magus is a special kind of bad

    • omg i must get it for that price lol.

  • Hilarious. Lego Batman 3 was £12 on disc recently.
Even more ridiculous is that the Lego Movie Videogame was $7.80 on the US Store at the weekend but we’re getting it for a bargainous £27.50.

    • I bought the Us Version recently on Flash Sale. That was super cheap 8 bucks was a steal. I went in here and was like: Damn, maybe the prices are better on this sale – NOPE, NOPE, NOPE.

    • US flash sales >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> x999999999999 >>>>> EU sales. Price wise.

  • Hmm not a bad sale. Might finally grab Dead Or Alive 5 for PS4.

  • another awful sale. it looks like the quality has dropped on sales as well as ps plus games. i don’t give a rat’s ass about lego games they are literally the same game over and over. the rest are junk as well. i’m thinking of selling my PS4 at this point. the PS4is literally a joke.

  • Wow Lego Marvel is £22.00 with the plus discount, not only can a physical copy be purchased new for under £20 or a pre-owned copy for about £15, but the US sale had it for about $8 earlier this year, thats around £6.
    It makes no sense

    • The lack of any sort of parity makes it easier to create a US account rather than complaining. That’s what most people do.

    • Iv’e got a EU and US account – bought the LEGO Marvel game instantly for 8 bucks on the US sale. The only games i always buy on EU are for the PS TV, since i can’t freely switch between accounts.

  • Since Big in Japan sale there was not a single deal interesting for me…

Ow well… it’s the last Jawad’s post… ya know what… there should be obligatory post with Jawad singing:
-Goodbye my love goodbye, goodbye and au revoir as lons as you remember me I’ll never be too far.-

    Anyway… take care!

When it will be announced who will be next person responsible for PSN?

    • Wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t a replacement with how SCEE behave at times. Will be sad to see Jawad go though, he seems to be the only person who listens to anyone on here.

    • I’ve bought some of the PS3 point and click adventures and puzzlers because the hubb will participate but yeah poor sale indeed.

Would consider Ender of Fire for the same reason but after picking up Realms of Ancient War for £2 (truly horrible) has put me off these isometric dungeon crawlers

    • Well duh! Because there can’t be replacement for Jawad :P

I don’t think that it is possible not to appoint someone for Jawad’s position. Fred probably have enough things to do… and Chris… somehow I really doubt that person who never bothers replying to anyone would take care of PSN shop blog posts.

    • My singing is ace, but not that ace haha.

    • @Jawad
      Ha! I don’t believe it!

Every man CAN sing! Somehow he just needs a little push. But I’m sure that if you will record singing under SCEE’s shower you will sing like Giancarlo from -To Rome with love.-

So go ahead. We will be listening and singing with you :)

  • Absolutely garbage sale. I want to give you money but you make it so hard.

  • Nice one for Pinball Arcade season 2. Hearing Arnie’s classic quotes whilst pinging balls around on Terminator 2 made me smile. :-)

  • Well, that sucks :(

Thought we’d at least get the binding of isaac for the Vita on sale.

One way to save money I guess :/

  • For a moment I became excited when I saw KT titles on sale but alas Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 wasn’t in the sale…so I can wait

  • Where are the defeat Vita sales? I’ll grab Titan souls for under a fiver, but must try harder on the Vita front please!

    • Definitely don’t get the lego games though xD

They’re the only vita games that go on Plus and they’re 3DS ports lol

  • *decent, not defeat.

  • Sales as bad as P’s plus has got, only Lego game I hadn’t got is the movie one,and I got for seven dollars on us store last week, 22 quid is an insult to the EU, even if us price was with taxes added on would still be miles better

  • The American sale has pushed me to their side.
I want to make an American account, which I won’t expect to have too much trouble making.

I am however curious how to add money to my digital wallet. Are there any reliable (large) websites who have digital codes which I can get by mail?

Thanks in advance for anyone who answers!

    • cdkeys.com

100% reliable. You get sent the code you just bought minutes after purchasing.

    • I’ve got a US account for very long now and it’s really worth it ! I use known auction sites in my country to buy the codes sometimes (accually rarely). But i recomend using the amazon.com site. They sell all the codes – 10$, 20$, 50$, 100$. The exchange rate is really good. Also, you have to use an actual US address, but you can use your normal bank card with it.

    • Ai caramba

I did not realise I had to have a Creditcard :'(, I had hoped I could use paypal or whatever

    • Im sure you can buy prepaid bank cards like visa gift card or even a prepaid amazon gift card using paypal on some other legit site.

    • There’s plenty of sites (dutch ones even) where u can pay with iDeal or PayPal.

    • You can use PayPal on cdkeys.com

    • I buy PSN cards from Offgamers.com and G2A.com. Saves me about £23 on each game I buy. Would thouroughly recommend it.

    • Thanks for mentioning dutch websites! I haven’t thought of that.

Right now I am looking at a website called psncode . nl
Anyone who has experience with this website?

I’d like to pay at least the same amount in numbers for a card.
      So 10 dollars = 10 euro. Not 10 dollars = 12 euro.

Preferably I’d like a website where i pay less euro for a 10 dollar card, so I get the real value.

    • Thanks for your answers ‘Yazumin’ but your website is more expensive with the euro.

I have tried ‘CannonB8’ his answer with the website offgamers and it worked!

I have paid 17 euro for 20 dollars, so I got the actual value for it. And I got the code instantly.

      I’m a happy gamer! :)

  • Hi Jawad, anything to report back about the issues i reported yesterday?

    1) Red Alert 3 Commander’s being impossible to buy
    2) Ridge Racer 7 missing/not working DLC
    3) Don’t Starve PS3 trophy list not yet uploaded on PSN

    • Yea, i’m wondering about that Red Alert too.

    • 1. Should be sorted now.
      2. Some of these should be fixed, but not all.
      3. This one I don’t have any update on, sorry.

    • No, the price for Red Alert is not sorted. Yes, it does show the price, but it has a “normal price” insted of a “sale” one. Price for me – 10 Euro – price listed in the “before sale” information – 10 Euro.

    • 1) Thanks, it works now.
      2) Yeah, i’ve noticed that the infamous “Pac-Man Sticker Set” is back to my local Store. However, it still doesn’t work :( it’s like it doesn’t activate, it used to work before… can you please investigate? Even if the issue seems to be worldwide… may i ask you why the others are missing? They’re all available in the rest of the world.
      3) Ok, thanks anyway.

    • @Golab: i don’t think RA3CC was meant to be on sale at this point. Yet, for whatever reason, it was impossible to buy IN ALL EUROPE, for two whole weeks, and it was listed under the Summer Sale titles. Hopefully in one of the next sales, it’ll be listed properly…

  • So both companies believe Europe is market they need to improve in. So both increased the price of a base game but not in U.S. Raising price of ps+, but Europe only. So how is this helping. Our sales are atrocious, but that’s mainly due to the inflated cost of the game in the 1st place. Why not lower the cost of the initial release and stop all these rubbish sales. £30 for a brand new one would surely increase digital sales, as is that what you want, is it not? Lego batman went for around £13 on Xbox one the other week, so even their sales are starting to be better alongside their release schedule. I surely still am waiting for greatness. 3 PS4 machines for me and my boys and can only share a digital game with one of them. Sales are good for us but still costs an arm and a leg.

  • These prices are laughable! US get Lego Marvel for $5 and our offer price is £22? There is no excuse for treating the EU customers like idiots. Give it us for £5!

    • It’s not even a US/EU thing, on Xbox the LEGO games are much cheaper than in this sale, Marvel was £8 about 6 months ago.

    • Agree. Almost split my tea all over myself looking at the sale prices. They might get away with it if people don’t check the US blog, but sadly I do. At least Titan Souls is pretty much the same price in both sales!

  • You had one job, SCEE! How long will you torture me…? :(

    Here are some clues:
    1. It’s a PSP title
    2. It’s abbreviated
    3. It’s the IP of NIS
    4. GFP is it’s spiritual successor

Know what it is? Good. Make it happen, persuade them to put the game on sale.

    • Why don’t you simply write “Please put Z.H.P. Unlosing Ranger VS Darkdeath Evilman on sale”? Also, i had to search for GFP because i completely forgot about Guided Fate Paradox.

      OMG spoilerz!!1!

    • I could… But where is the fun in going about it in with a direct approach all the time? :D

    • Just read Jawad is leaving. Gonna miss you, and good luck with all your future endeavours. :D

  • Holy cow, the green team had LEGO Marvel and Movie for £8 a couple of weeks ago, and you want £22 even as a PS+ ‘deal’?!

    • (EU) “Deal”, “Sale” – these words mean “normal, everyday price for your game, only for a limited time.” (EU)

  • I’m sure who makes these discount tables (if a human being and not a robot or something else) feel at least a -little- ashamed …. Otherwise it is the end of mankind …

  • Can’t we have the retro sale the US has at the minute? : (

  • I’ll wait Titan Souls drop another little. Right now I’m Playing Metro Redux.

    Nothing for me

  • Any chance for a Phantom Breaker discount in Eur… OH WAIT.

  • Another EA title for Deal of the Week? Can we have other games from different developers in future Deals of the Weeks. We pretty much had almost every EA title in DOTWs. Thanks.

Also, Jawad, I heard you’re leaving Sony so I bid you good luck for the future.

  • Rip-off.
    Greatness Awaits.

  • What time does the store update in the UK? Summer sale is still up.

  • O.O A decently good discount for Bladestorm, and low enough to buy within one prepaid card? BOUGHT!

  • I wonder if the sales will magically become significantly better once Jawad leaves : P

    I kid, I kid.

    • Wouldn’t that be a coincidence!

Not to blow my own trumpet (I will), but a lot of the Japan themed offers starting some years back were partly my doing (Personas, the NIS stuff albeit not all). A good range of the titles included were because of my suggestions, and of course, yours too (we do read your comments, after all).

I’m sure there’ll be plenty of decent offers in the future, too. There’s Halloween, Christmas and whatever inbetween, right?

    • @Jawad: You always seemed to be the Japanese games guy on the team, I hope there’s someone else at SCEE with the same kind of passion because these are important games to the PlayStation platforms.

    • >The japan sales were my idea

      RIP Japan sales. You will be greatly missed by us, you filled my days with many great games. ;-;

I wish you luck in whatever you’re doing in the future Jawad.

    • It’s great that those were added because of your suggestions, but does that imply that those publishers themselves don’t even think about putting their own games on sale digitally on PSN?

Personally I don’t even understand why you need to look at comments to put a game on sale. Why not make sure every game on the entire store is on sale at least once every year? Group them by theme or country or whatever you like, but make sure as many games as possible are discounted at one point some day.

It seems like in EVERY big Steam sale, like 70-80 percents of the entire catalog is on sale. On PSN, only ‘selected titles’ are on sale. Sometimes it’s quite a lot, but the number of available content is also rising every week and the number of titles on sale does not keep up.

I’m not even comparing prices (even though the difference is also huge), but I don’t understand the reasoning of having such a small amount of titles on sale in a year when there’s SO MUCH content out there. I’d put most of the blame on the publishers though as I believe they can set prices and I think they leave a lot of money on the table here, but still.

Oh well, sorry to bother you with this Jawad, hope whoever takes over will at least notice the comments here. Thanks for your hard work at the PlayStation Store team. Even though I’m compaining, I’ve bought a ton of games on sale, thanks to you. Good luck wherever you end up next!

    • @UltimusXI

We’re working more and more closely with publishers on including as much of their content in any of our numerous promotions. There’s a bit more to it than a simple yes or no, though. It’s usually trickier when a publisher/dev is in a different time zone, or other reasons, so their games don’t end up making the lineup (Phantom Breaker comes to mind).

We’d love to put everything on sale, but without going into details (because I’ll get in trouble), it’s pretty process heavy!

Don’t worry, you’re still probably going to get Japanese themed sales amongst many others. Nothing will end because I am no longer here, fear not! At least I don’t think it will, ha!

  • That’s a lot of Lego :)

  • The ‘The LEGO Movie Videogame’ is ‘AWESOME!’ (Sorry i couldn’t resist saying that) :D Just got the Disc Version today(Luckily for me it’s the same price as the PS PLUS discount Version) ;)

  • Time to make a US account… because this EU prices and sales are insulting.

  • Still awaiting a discount on Diablo III… I own the physical copy, but since switched to collecting digitally. Not gonna buy it full price again.

  • Hi, can you please discount Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment for PS Vita next time? That would be really appreciated!

  • lego, lego, lego, more lego… aaaaaaalllll thhhhhhhhe leegggggoooooooo

  • I just bought rory mcilroy (22.8.2015) is there any way to get a refund? Pls help, thanks:)

  • This sale is a joke. I mean, is this sale the so called “have plenty of new deals and offers to tempt you with” ??

  • EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour (PS4)
    Original price £54.99/€69.99
    Offer price £34.99/€44.99

Still an absolute ludicrous price for this game. Considering it is a shell of a game in comparison to the final few Tiger Woods installments.

    No Country Clubs.
    No Best Ball.
    No Alt. Shot.
    No Bingo Bango Bongo.
    No Augusta.
    Unrealistic fantasy rubbish.
Only a handful of courses you could count on one hand.
    No Course Mastery
    No fleshed out career mode
Only simultaneous play in online matches, can’t view each others shots
Night club challenges are dull and pointless
Blatant marketing for other EA products in game
    Stableford missing
    Still no Ryder Cup option
90% of the courses are in the US, 2 courses in the UK, nothing for the rest of the world

No doubt EA will drip feed us all these “new features” over the coming installments, even though the code base exists (in some form) for TW games and all it would need is a porting phase of work to make it ps4 compatible.

The whole game reeks of Malibu Stacey with a new hat.

    • Pretty much the point I was going to make. I really hope EA gets stung hard on this game. Totally unacceptable. A tenner would be over 9 pounds too much.

  • LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
    Original price £54.99/€59.99
    Offer price £27.50/€30.00
    PS Plus price: £22.00/€24.00

LEGO Marvel was 5 dollars or something on the US store a while ago, you know, just sayin’

  • This is really upsetting seeing the US get a retro sale with some fantastic prices and we get this? Not fair if you ask me such a shame very disappointed.

  • Why do we pay 400% more than in the US.. Lego Marvel was 5 dollars there last year… As was The Hobbit a few months ago. You keep putting down overpriced retail store prices here. Why would I buy here when it’s cheaper in a local store? And I can just resell it.. Baffles me. Online should be cheaper. And it’s the internet. So we know everything that goes around in the US. Why alienate us? You gave us all the same IGC. Why not the same sales? Sure not all games are available in all countries. But just give them a few other titles. Or nothing. It’s their government’s problem.

  • You know we can see what sales the US get with the internet and all? You know they had LEGO games down to $8 or so, only last week?

It’s just so hard to comprehend who can think these are a suitable sale price

  • To buy Pinball Arcade you just need the season pass or the game itself is also needed?
