Updates on five upcoming PS VR2 games, including Trombone Champ: Unflattened, Masters of Light.
The holidays are looking virtual, with more titles heading to PS VR2 before the end of 2024. We introduced four titles you can enjoy soon, with one you can play today. Whether you’re an early adopter or curious about what PS VR2 offers, here are some titles that will shift your perspective.
Mare | Out now
Lonekite Games had a treat for players as puzzle adventure Mare releases today. Use lighting-like powers to help guide your AI companion through a mysterious archipelago. The PS VR2 version includes two modes. Use eye tracking to solve puzzles with a glance in Classic, or tackle expanded challenges with your Sense controllers in Enhanced mode. Whether searching for the next solution or taking a moment to take it all in, it’s a worthwhile adventure for puzzle fans.
Trombone Champ: Unflattened | Coming November 26
The rhythm game that took the genre by storm comes to PS VR2 later this month as Trombone Champ: Unflattened. When the team at Flat2VR decided to bring the game to the next dimension, they added new features that take advantage of adaptive triggers to provide a more realistic trombone feel. With over 20 trombones to unlock, 50 cards to collect, and a slew of tracks across different game modes, there is plenty to keep players busy on their way to becoming trombone champs.
Masters of Light | Coming December 18
Become The Wanderer, a powerful being of light, and wield powerful magic in this spellcasting adventure from Coven. Learn the proper technique and strategic timing needed to cast spells as you battle an army of shadows that seeks to destroy the universe. Enjoy mystic visuals with the power of PS VR2 eye tracking and a 90Hz refresh rate that keeps the action steady, and feel the power of spell casting with haptic feedback.
Alien: Rogue Incursion | Coming December 19
The sci-fi horror has gone gold, and to celebrate, Survios shared a new story trailer and teased some new details as to what players can expect when they (crash) land on LV-354. Classic Alien themes – corporate corruption, personal greed, and professional hubris – are all represented, creating a perfect storm of conditions for a Xenomorph outbreak. Gemini Exoplanet Solutions’ experimentation on the perfect organism has resulted in a tougher, faster, and more unpredictable version than what Zula Hendricks – and the player – has seen before. Arm yourself on December 19.
Hitman World of Assassination | Coming March 27, 2025
Agent 47 has decided to do more reconnaissance before heading to PS VR2 next year, with the team at IO Interactive taking extra time to deliver an amazing experience that meets players’ high standards. The intent is to create one of the most immersive Hitman experiences to date.
The entire main campaign of Hitman World of Assassination will be playable with full adaptive triggers and haptic support while adding positional interactions, which require players to physically mimic actions to turn off items, hack computers, and other actions to get the job done.
