Monster Hunter Wilds launch trailer reveals new monsters and first post-launch Title Update

Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PS5 on February 28, 2025, heralding the start of the next generation in the acclaimed action-RPG series. In today’s State of Play, we debuted our launch trailer, which highlights the wide variety of monsters, people, and wildlife you’ll meet, each living and finding their own way to survive in a dynamic and sometimes volatile ecosystem that can drastically change in an instant.

Your palico will help you during a hunt by using support actions. Your palico will learn new support actions as you progress further in the story.

The journey continues after launch with new additional free content. In the week after launch, Event Quests will be available. Take on these special quests to earn in-game armor with special looks! The first Free Title Update will arrive in Spring 2025, bringing the majestic monster Mizutsune to Monster Hunter Wilds. Stay tuned to see how this monster uses dance-like attacks and bubbles to attack with a balance of beauty and brutality. 

Monster Hunter Wilds will be PS5 Pro enhanced via a day one patch, further enhancing immersion with ray tracing.
