Built for the PS5

Days Gone Remastered is brought to new life by the PlayStation 5 console featuring improved graphical fidelity, increased foliage draw distance, improved shadow and lighting quality, Tempest 3D Audio*, VRR support** and more. DualSense controller support

Feel the intensity of Days Gone with its full use of the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Ride across the Broken Road and feel the rumble of your bike’s engine or the wheels gripping the dirt roads in the palm of your hands. Lose yourself in the unique environment of the Pacific Northwest with weather haptics including rain and thunder. Get to grips with the distinct feel and resistance of various weapons from Deacon’s arsenal while fighting your way through hordes of Freakers.

New Accessibility features

Accessible play is important to us at Bend Studio. Days Gone Remastered gave us the opportunity to expand our suite of accessibility features, allowing even more players to enjoy our world. To highlight a few of these new settings, Days Gone Remastered includes High Contrast mode, Game Speed, UI Narration, Collectible Audio Cues, Controller Remapping, Field of View slider, and more.

Not only is Days Gone Remastered receiving PS5 enhancements, but we’re also throwing in new content to play!

Horde Assault – A survival arcade mode

Experience an all-new way to play Days Gone! Horde Assault offers fresh and unexpected gameplay designed to challenge your skills as you try to achieve a high score while surviving as long as possible against increased horde sizes and various other enemies, like vicious survivors and evolved Freakers. And yes, we said increased horde sizes. Good luck.

Travel across familiar regions found in the story including the Cascade, Belknap, Lost Lake, and Crater Lake. But be warned: This World Comes For You. Fight your way through a brutal, ever-changing landscape where enemies escalate in difficulty the longer you survive. Move up in level to earn in-mode rewards with never-before-playable characters, new patch cosmetics, and unique Injectors to greatly impact your gameplay experience. Stay tuned for more information on Horde Assault coming soon!

Permadeath mode

Do you have the skill – and nerve – to take on the ultimate challenge by attempting to finish the compelling story of Deacon St. John’s journey in one single playthrough without dying?

In a world where everything is out to kill you, your skills will be tested to the limit and mastery is required to conquer Permadeath mode. If you meet your unfortunate end, you must either return to the beginning of the game or the start of the second act and try your luck again – dependent on which setting you choose. Achieve this great feat and be rewarded with a special graphic recording your time it took to complete, unique stats like how many Freakers you killed during your playthrough, and more. Of course, you’ll receive a shiny new PlayStation Trophy as well.

Did we mention that yet? Days Gone Remastered will have a new Trophy pack for you to unlock, specifically for the new game modes! Go get ‘em trophy hunters.

  • Highly recommend people give this game a chance, the world really feels alive and the story is pretty good. I actually thought it was better than TLoU at the time cause you can get a sense of the world better and the people in it. Glad to see Horde Assault mode, I have only two problems with this game, take a bit of time for it to get exciting (it’s still good in early section but not exciting) and the second is not enough hordes!

  • I’ll never get on board the remaster trend. This one especially just feels like a studio that needs to release something, anything, since they have nothing new coming anytime soon. Maybe all these remasters can put their games in VR to at least offer a new experience. At least that would be time well spent.

  • PlayStation please give us a physical version, you will lose out on a lot of potential sales without a physical edition

    • I don’t understand this, every remaster got a physical edition but not this, i would be ready to drop 50 bucks for this bc i bought the OG at half price

  • I’m thrilled to see more of Days Gone! If we support this, Days Gone 2 might become a reality.

    • Exactly. But Hermen Hulst hates this franchise and ruined the studio when he tried to force them to make the TLOU Remake nobody asked for…. or bought in the end.

  • Really cool but was hoping for some story related DLC or expansion! Hopefully we just get a straight up sequel instead.

  • Never touched ANY off your remasters this gen. TLOU Part 2, that 30 quid rip off simple port and no visual upgrade whatsoever of Ghost of Tsushima, Uncharted, Death Stranding, Horizon, etc.

Buying this DAY ONE, time to get a lesson in the stupidest thing you ever shelved PlayStation, the sequel to Days Gone that EASILY would have been released by now and MILLIONS of us would have paid full price for compared to…….. nothing and…….. yep still nothing, from a 1st party studio any time soon.

And don’t charge 80 euro for Housemarque’s new game. We don’t want another flop this gen from them that should have been an easy buy, yeah?

Not allowing the upgrade for Ps Plus is really shortsighted. I would have given you a tenner for a game I already have, now you get nothing.

  • I might play it for 10 big ones, but I would have preferred to play a sequel that should have been out by now if Bend weren’t severely mismanaged.

  • I don’t know why you are making a useless remaster. What a joke! This game needs a sequel!
    Shame on you.

  • Why digital only? The majority was looking for a physical copy! Follow the Zero Dawn example and make it happen! After all the drama following this title, we deserve it!

  • Digital only???!!!! Are you kidding me!! This game needs a physical. The ps4 disc build is a buggy mess!!!

  • @SonyBend any chance of a Golden Abyss remake pretty please?

  • This is almost offensive to both the fans and the developers who wanted a sequel… And of course it’ll get some inflated love because of the cheap upgrade…

  • Another shameless remaster, let’s face it the management team that ran the ps4 gen will never be topped. Welcome to the new PlayStation.

  • we want Day Gone 2

  • DAYS GONE 2 WHEN???????? IVE BEEN BEGGING.

Ill buy this at full price just to show Sony the demand.

  • I’m so excited and I can’t wait to jump back in for like the 10,000 time this is one of my favorite games of all time hopefully this will push Sony to see how great this game is and green light a sequel days gone too

  • Shout out to Sony for finally doing something with Days Gone. Howerlver your doing it wrong. We want a sequel, not a remaster. Not worth buying another full price game just for adaptive triggers and a couple time trials and trophies.

  • On Steam and the Epic Games Store? What about gog.com?

  • No physical edition, what? No PSN subscriber upgrade, what? Sony really shooting themselves in the foot here, if they would allow PSN subscriber update for 10 USD, i think they could have gotten the financial bump and data to show that people actually love this game and very much want a sequel. But with no physical release – Sony won’t get the collectors money and with no PSN Subscriber upgrade – Sony won’t get funds/data to push this into a franchise. Sad when stupid business-decisions ruin games like this. Love this game and would absolutely pay for a physical colllectors edition of the remaster.

  • DAYS GONE 2 ASAP !

  • For those owners that have the PS4 physical disc, how do we preorder at $10? The PSN store is still showing the full $49.99 price rather than the discounted price.

  • can’t upgrade my copy yet? own the disc but doesn’t show the 10dollar upgrade i want the bonus avatars for upgrading any help?

  • Ok nice ;)))
But is that means on pc with the dlc we can get the graphical enhancements tooo, or not.
That’s not specified in the blog.
    Can any one ‘Explain’.

  • Digital only?? A first party game, from an almost 30 years old studio, digital only?? After that shadow reprint, and that broken day 1 edition, the least to do was a physical Ps5 edition for this!
You almost got me until I read this… You want a digital-only future that badly, huh?

  • I loved this game back on PS4 so I’m really happy to see a ps5 remaster and hopefully ther will be a days gone 2 in the works

  • Digital only?
C’mon man do you want this to fail?

  • Finally some new DG! I’ll immediately support any new Days Gone releases. Gimme that sequel baby!

  • would be better just release it on ps plus on release , feels good to get games on release and will draw more players to get ps plus extra or premium like xbox live which they got call of duty black ops 6 .
as of right now ps plus is great would be even greater if we get these kinda releases
    on ps plus premium .

  • Let’s make this game get the sequel it deserves! C’mon my #PLAYSTATIONGAMERS

  • They probably need people to buy this game to show more people have interest & give Sony a reason to approve to move forward with letting them develop Days Gone 2. So basically, if you want Days Gone 2 then buying this may make that happen.

  • Trying to buy it says i cant and its showing as A 50$ game but i have the digital version.

  • Dear Bend,

5 years later; I’m back on my second play through of Days Gone after finishing it back in 2019.

My request then still stands now.

I’m playing on Survival Mode 2 and I keep thinking while playing how this game will be so much more immersive and challenging if there’s the option to turn off HUD completely. (Especially gun crosshair/reticle). Increase the HUD options in the settings.

It’s done in most games even TLOU.

Just allow us the option to turn off Gun Reticle, turn off Distance proximity.

Secondly, loot should be reduced, let it be scarce. So there’s a real feeling of excitement when you find a loot.

I love this game in 2024. Please add a Hardcore mode with HUD completely gone and scarce loot. I’ll start over again and enjoy the play through the most.

    Thank you.

  • I don’t get excited over games much anymore, but I’ve already requested the launch day off. Haven’t done that for a game since RDR2. I hope, and I’m sure it will be worth every minute. I can’t wait. Honestly, I don’t think any of us were expecting this. So another surprise from the studio.

  • Perma-death? This game is wayyyy too long for a perma-death mode

  • Who said we need a Remaster?
What we need is a sequel (Days Gone 2). The game is too good to just die off like that please.

  • I loaded my disc version into ps5 and no upgrade without a49.99 purchase

  • Can not upgrade PS PLUS Collection on PS5?

  • i got the ps + version and i have installed the disc. NO UPGRADE offer. please fix

  • The game was really fun and i’d love to go back to it again. I also hope it leads to the sequel becuase this IP deserve it. I also hope there will be physical release.

  • If there’s any chance this leads to a DG 2, then I’m ln. Will gladly pay $10.

  • SHAME ON YOU FOR SHELFING PART II

    Signed,
    Everyone.

  • Não PlayStation 4

  • How do i pre-order it, if I’ve already bought the ps4 version? I see where you can pre-order it if you have not purchased it yet.

  • The game didn’t really need a remaster, but maybe the second chance it needed.

  • Please just make a sequel?!? Its got what gamers need!!

  • I am very disappointed that having the game through PS Plus does not allow me to pay $10 to upgrade. Had held off playing Days Gone because of the remaster’s rumors but will not pick this up for $50.

  • we want demon souls and bloodborne on pc port please

  • “Owners of the PS4 disc copies must insert them into their PS5 every time they want to download or play the PS5 digital version” Seriously not happy about this. I have a brand new PS5 pro which is digital only, but I need a disc drive to play the “digital version” remaster. Guess it is a pass for me.
