  • Please let harvest moon have trophies!

  • I just quit playing hrizen forbidden west so I could boot up ace combat 7 and said wonder if they have the games for February announced yet… 🤔 can’t say I’m not disappointed as I just recently bought both lol … oh well

  • so if i have bought legend of dragoon and wild arms 2 before, i dont have to buy it again right??

  • This is a FANTASTIC drop of content and a great use of Premium tier with HFW…. just would like to eventually see some ps2 content on here that hasn’t been In the PS library for sure. THEN I’ll be truly happy with my premium purchase.

  • Ayyyyyy Legend of Dragoon is finally here! Solid month for PS1 in general. And I just bought all 3 Tokyo RPG Factory games recently…

    • I was just saying I was going back to the basic if it didn’t get better any time soon. Because its been basicly the old Now and Plus with the nice game trials. And then they slapped me in the face with this.

    • I bought Scarlet Nexus not too long ago. Oh well lol

  • Who else is hyped for Legend of Dragoon? Come on Sony take my money we need a remake / remaster!!!!

    • BIG FACTS

    • Hopefully it gets some renewed interest, it may be a final fantasy clone, but it did everything right for what the playstation could do.

    • I was just saying I was going back to the basic if it didn’t get better any time soon. Because its been basicly the old Now and Plus with the nice game trials. And then they slapped me in the face with this.

  • This is why PlayStation always dunks on LBOX and Hardpass. 😂

    • If you truly felt that, you wouldn’t need to bother bringing up a pointless console war. Just enjoy what you like and ignore the rest. Adding noise is so stupid.

    • I agree in the end Sony is the gamers console, but nintendo brings the games and sad its not like the PS2 days when every game hit Sony. Nintendo pretty much took that crown, minus a few titles exclusive. But nintendo just doesn’t make the best hardware, even though it lasts better than xbox if you dont count the controllers.

  • Yes! Finally! The Legend of Dragoon! Thank you so much, Sony! Thank you for listening!

And that’s also a very good offering of additional games as well! This is a great month for PS Plus!

  • God tier update. I am going to be playing a good amount of these games.

I am extremely hopeful that Legend of Dragoon will help spread the awareness of classic JRPGs. The holy grail title I want to see on Classics is Xenogears. Xenosaga Episodes 1-3 as well would make me squeal like a banshee in heat, but one delusion at a time.

We need Xenogears with trophy support!!!! I beggeth thee.

    • Xenogears is a Squarenix IP, unlike Legend of Dragoon, a Japan Studio original. That’s all the context you need regarding this matter.

    • Going to be hard to get any of them, same with all the Drakengard enteries other than 3. Those games are all tied up in some kind of legal troubles and licenses. I asked about Shadow Hearts with someone from Sony and they said it will probably never happen unless Sony of America hires someone interested in getting the full library squared away. But they said the samething about LoD coming to newer consoles and here it is. A remake of any of them would be awesome too. But its hard to capture the magic the older games had, with this new software and hardware and the price of making it and then marketing to the majority.

  • Please let harvest moon have trophies! One of my childhood favourites.

  • Finally The Legend of Dragoon! Please tell me there are trophies…

  • Why is it the 21st this month? It’s usually the middle? Ah well, a great line up for Extra, meanwhile Premium is still just meh.

  • Let us play our entire digital library on ps4 and ps5. Let us purchase ps3 games on ps plus. Bring Vita games to ps plus

  • The Legend of Dragoon! Our prayers have been answered! Been dying to play this game again for years now. It’s the one game I still have on disc but don’t have a working PS1, PS2, or backwards compatible PS3 to play it on anymore.

  • Hopefully they honor people who bought the digital copies of legend of dragoon and wild arms 2 on PS3 or Vita and don’t need premium to play plus trophies wouldn’t hurt either

  • Y’all really came out swinging this month! Everyone should play Scarlet Nexus too, it’s awesome!

  • Wow! There is a ton to be escorted about here! But winner goes to Legend of the Dragoon. Wow haven’t played that since the old days. Excited to step in again. But there’s so many other things to be excited about here too

  • Legend of Dragoon trophy support??

  • Now THIS is what I’m talking about! Finally the month where you got serious, Sony! Amazing lineup. Thank you.

    • I wonder if Sony is just throwing us a bone after Nintendo finally released the Metroid Prime HD Remaster, and announced their GameBoy Color and Advance emulation launch with several Zelda classics, but also with the promise that Golden Sun would make it on there very soon.

I can’t wait to replay Legend of the Dragoon fort the first time in 20 years, but I still feel somewhat cheated as a Premium Subscriber. They have A BUNCH OF PS1 & PS2 jRPGs that are still considered to be among the top-10 the genre has to offer. And yet, we’re just now getting 1 of those.

What about Lunar 1 & 2? What about XenoGears? C’mon Sony!!!!

  • Legend of legaia next please.

    • Yeah that would be sweet, it was one of the greastest stories in the genre, along with Legend of Dragoon and wild arms. If studios still had the magic of story telling in awesome gameplay there wouldn’t be so many horrible games we have today. Although you get some that turn out great with ideals from the 90’s where it is modern.

  • Can you please Bring Batman arkham origins to the Classic games,im so wanting to play it,then I can complete the full set. It would mean alot if you could add it to the classic catalogue

    • Surprised they haven’t yet honestly. I bought it physically a while back and haven’t touched it because my backlog is huge lol. I wouldn’t count it out so I hope you get your wish!

    • Oh you meant Arkham Origins, I misread it as the collection, derp lmao

  • For anyone who doesn’t already know it, the Legend of Dragoon fandom has been thriving and unifying more and more with each passing year. See what a legacy fandom can truly become! We have our own community website and a Discord server:

  • I didn´t find Borderlands 3 in the catalog now, Where will be released?

  • Does this mean that if The Legend of Dragoon was already purchased through PS Classics on PSP/PS3/PSVita, will that carry forward? Or will this be a “you have to buy it for the 5th time” type of thing.

  • Nice, but what are the deluxe games?

  • Wow! I haven’t never seen a month so great ever. This is what premium should be! Glad someone is listening.

  • I had to double and and triple check, then pinch myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming when I saw The Legend of Dragoon on that last.

My only complaint right now is, oh wait, I don’t have one. :)

    • Right? I mean people have listed it in their top-5 games they wanted in the list of PS1 classics, and pretty much no one asked for those super janky stealth games—i.e., Siphon Filter.

Yet, we’ve gotten a whole bunch of mediocre jRPGs and finally 1 good one! Wild Arms 1 and 3 are decent, but sort of depressing to play now that we all know the series died before fully exiting the womb.

  • One day can we go from the first of the month to the last day of the month please?

  • The Legend of the Dragoon!

In the words of a day 1 Premium subscriber, it’s about GD Time! Now can we please also get XenoGears, pretty please!?!

After watching someone play an emulated version on the Steam Deck, I realized how terrible the 3D Graphics were at that time. With modern standards, regressing that much in time make it very difficult to orient yourself anywhere.

It is in dire need to upscaling, or perhaps even a remaster—but that probably will never happen after MonolithSoft cut off its ties to Sony and went all-in on Nintendo platforms. Sadly, I was too young to finish it at the time, but now I am saddened by the fact that it has become next-to-impossible to play a good copy of what many jRPG fans would consider to be among the top-5 jRPGs of all time.

  • What an absolutely phenomenal month.

  • Hopefully these ps1 classics actually have trophies?? If Sony can’t even put those on their own classics then I’m done with premium. I don’t want just a rewind and stupid color filters crap. Literally who asked for dumb color filters?

  • Forever waiting for the original Need For Speed Most Wanted. Not the remake they did for the ps3 but the original thy came out for Xbox and ps2 please!!!!!

  • Ddgfddsdlgg

  • Now u r talking

  • i kinda liked this month’s lineup. Just, i was expecting more classics… For whoever wonders why they putting Horizon:FW instead ratchet or sackboy, it’s the obvious call of the mountain VR spin-off game that will release soon!

  • Great lineup as an Extra subscriber. It’s also good to see those in the higher tier happy for a change.

Horizon Forbidden West is a great selection that’ll give others who don’t have it a chance to try and it’s been out for less than a year.

Other good games added that I own are Outriders, Borderlands 3, Scarlett Nexus, Ace Combat 7, and Tekken 7.

I’m excited to try The Quarry on PS4 and PS5 strike and The Forgotten City.

I’ve not heard of Oninaki, Lost Sphere, and I am Setsuna but I’ll give them all a try.

Keep up the heavy hitters Sony so Extra will continue to shine and reinforce its value. A happy gamer is a happy subscriber.

  • The best Extra lineup thus far. There’s something for everyone.

Great to include Horizon Forbiden West after it’s been released a year ago on February 18, 2022.

Other good games in this lineup that I own include Outriders, Scarlet Nexus, Borderlands 3, Tekken 7 and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.

I’m looking forward to playing the games I don’t own, such as The Quarry, The Forgotten City. and Earth Defense Forces 5.

I’ll give the games I haven’t heard of a try: Oninaki, Lost Sphere and I am Setsuna.

All this in addition to the fantastic month of PS Essential games: Destiny 2 Beyond Light, Olli Olli World. Evil Dead, and Mafia Definitive Edition.

Keep the hits coming Sony. Happy Gaming to all.

    • The Square Enix JRPG’s had or have demos on PS4 I Am Setsuna and Lost Spear are a nod back to early JRPG’S. Oninaki is a bit odd but still good.

EDF is really fun especially with couch co-op.

  • Christmas came early!

  • Wow a really good month, shame I already have EDF and the Square Enix JRPG’s.

  • What a fantastic lineup for this month, lovely lovely

  • Wow, this is a great month honestly. Three PS one classics, Horizon Forbidden West, and The Quarry? Well done Playstation.

LaD Ishin will be eating up my time but I’ll be sure to check these out soon enough.

  • Is this the same world that cost 60$ a game
In dreams only 60$gives whole hall of fame

  • Will Legend of Dragoon be in EU as well?

It wasn’t available in germany when it was released on PS3, even though there was a localized version when it was released

  • Now this is a excellent lineup 👍 I will download them and play them immediately.

  • Surely this line up will silence all the ps plus haters

  • Returnal PC peaks at 5k players….another PC port selling terribly. Meanwhile GoW Ragnarok sells 11m units in less than 3 months. But for some reason you choose to focus on PC over PS5. When will you learn that all resources and time should be directed solely to the console ?

  • We’re expecting ‘Smackdown: Here comes the pain(ps2), James bond 007: Everything or Nothing (ps2), Downhill domination(ps2), Mortal Kombat: Shaolin monks(ps2)’ to include in classic catalogue.. please do the needful, waiting for these for a longtime as a premium subscriber!

  • We’re expecting, ‘ SmackDown: Here comes the pain(ps2), James bond 007: Everything or Nothing & Nightfire(ps2), Downhill domination (ps2), mortal Kombat: Shaolin monks (ps2), Evil dead(ps2) to include in classic catalogue.. waiting for a longtime as a premium subscriber!

  • Is The Quarry just for premium tier? I downloaded it but it’s just a demo, I have psplus extra

  • yay, a good month this month
