  • Make an official PS.Blog post announcing the closure of legacy PlayStation Store services for PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita, including PSOne Classics, PS2 Classics, and PlayStation minis content.

Own up to this company’s direction and be upfront with your erstwhile community regarding this severely anti-consumer, anti-developer, and anti-legacy decision with no disclosed plans for decades of experiences beyond the insufficient premise of PlayStation Now rotation.

We deserve to know beyond a one-off e-mail, and Somy deserves direct feedback from its providers.

I agree with this since being a former Xbox player and not taking advantage of their current updates with how they’re handling old games, being able to play those on the cloud and now being able to have a cloud save to continue where you left off. Thus in a way keeping the old store open for as long as possible

I have to say Sony has to do better cause I think their PSNow collection pales in comparison to GamePass and what they’re doing to some ppl that still possess their PS Vita PS3 systems, I’m sure ppl would love to have the same capabilities as Xbox for their old PS games.

  • I also agree with these other two comments. Without backwards compatibility for the PS3 or Vita on any console, I’m having a hard time understanding why Sony is shutting down their stores. The email said it was to focus their resources on the PS4 and PS5, but it seems the legacy PlayStation Stores wouldn’t take many resources at all to keep running…
