  • I did not expect surge 2 to be included

  • I already had Horizon and the others seems meh

  • Having Horizon Zero Dawn as a permanent entry with The Frozen Wilds makes me happy, same with seeing The Surge 2 as a permanent entry.

Also mildly interesting in Stranded Deep, hadn’t heard of it before now, but it seems like a nice change of pace.

  • What kind of Xbox Gamepass marketing is this?

  • I’m glad Horizon, along with the expansion has been added permanently. It was added before as a temporary game. But idk why it was temporary to begin with. Same with Days Gone. The games been out for a while. Why is it temporary. Not to bring up other services, but you wouldn’t see, Game pass, Stadia pro, hell or even Netflix removing their exclusives from their services. I’m not even talking about day one new games. Im talking about games that have been out for years.

Horizon, God of War, Spider-Man, Uncharted 4. Like, these games are sold for like $20 now and like, anyone who was planning on buying them already has. This is kind of a rant but it boggles my mind a little bit. Lol. Like youd think Sony would want this service to be the best that it can be. But they do little things like that, that hold it back. And when are we get 1080p streaming, support for more devices, PSOne, and more classic games that we can play on PS4, or PS5 (i.e. PS2/PS3 games).

    • PS now is 50 dollars for 12 months. Gamepass is 30 dollars for 3 months. PS Now is a cheaper alternative to Gamepass, a good alternative.

    • The one thing I don’t understand is why people make comments like this one. It seems no one thinks before making these rant posts.

It has to do with the developers. When Sony offers a game on PlayStation Now or Plus, they need permission from the developer. The game is essentially free as long as people pay a monthly fee to either service.

  • Another excellent month, PS Now starting to become a cheaper alternative to Gamepass

    • It’s always been cheaper. But just because it’s cheaper doesn’t mean there Are additions that are needed to the service. Like there is no reason why all of playstations old exclusive are on the Service. And PS now hasn’t had a innovative new feature in like 2 years

    • Right. PSNow has just been adding games. Why would it need an innovative feature? You can DL games or stream games without needing to pay for PS+. There isn’t much else need. Better games. Lower cost.

    • @TJ_Solo How about, being able to play on different devices like EVERY OTHER streaming service that came out AFTER PS Now? How about 1080p streaming for a service in the year 2020? How about PSOne games? How about the ability to capture gameplay, while you’re streaming? Again, like other streaming services. Stop accepting the literal, bare minimum. That’s why the PS Now subscriber numbers are so low rn. They can get better. But the service needs to get better. And even Jim Ryan said that.

    • I mean, Game Pass has a lot of newer titles along with the old. Now if they had their day-1 releases or substantial games that came out in the last 6 months to a year … then it would be worth it. Old games are fine, but only old games? It kind of diminishes the value.

  • Nice mix of indies and big name games, I would replace darksiders 3 with darksiders genesis but otherwise solid month. Most excited to try wreckfest and stranded deep!

  • Terrible if u ask me ps plus games from past and horizon which was part of the service before but its a good idea again coz its a permanent add thanks ps happy xmas i love how it says dont be a jerk but when u do this how can u not be

    • I mean, I get not liking the additions. But that doesnt excuse toxicity lmao. Like c’mon let’s be adults.

  • Bad month imo, we already had Horizon this year so adding again is poor… And then to add 2 previous PS Plus games, that’s just beyond bad. Surge no thanks, playing Stranded Deep now and it’s terrible which would explain the bad reviews. All you do is keep pushing long time subs away… To keep adding Now game’s to Plus pushed me away… But to now be adding Plus games to Now and also previous Now games the same year… Pfffft bye.

  • PS Now, could be the best but it isn’t being invested and promoted in like it should be. It needs to be treated as a game subscription service. And also a streaming service. Meaning it has to be able to have the best features of both types of services.

As a game subscription service. It needs more and better games. First and foremost all of PS older exclusives need to be on PS now permanently. No reason why all of Sony’s PSOne, PS2, PS3, and most of their PS4 games arent on this service. Like, I dont think it’s asking for too much to put Playstation games on PSNow.

They also need to start putting PSOne games on the service. Along with more classic games. There are hundreds of PS1,2,3 games on PSN that cant be played on a PS4. So why not put them on PS Now? Make PS Now a backwards compatibility service on top of whatever it is now.

And when it comes to streaming. This service is severely lagging behind the competition. It needs 1080p 60fps streaming. It needs to be on mobile devices and smart tvs. And we should be able to capture gameplay while streaming. And these aren’t insanely absurd concepts. These are things are services are currently doing.

    • My guess (and that’s all it is ) is that it’s because the game was still selling decently at the time.

PlayStation exclusives whilst might not do Nintendo games sales, still do pretty darn well.

So Sony maybe were just seeing sales really slow it’s worth putting it on Now.

Again a wild guess on my part.

  • Sony, this is not a good selection. HZD was already on the service a while back and most people have played it. It doesn’t matter that it includes the DLC. You can’t ask the customer to pay for the same product twice. It makes no sense. And two of the other games are already on PS Plus which is pretty much a required subscription if you own a ps4. There are thousands of games available to put on PS Now. As it is, the service is not worth the cost.

  • PsNow isn’t working for me anymore.
If you are an old member, probably feel the same.

  • This is not good you don’t want to embrace the full backward compatibility like microsoft, you don’t want to use the ps now as a remedy for that, you could add a lot of old games there plus new one, maybe add those games in digital form, the fact that the new xbox can play some ps2 games and not the ps5 is just ridiculous, “for the players” maybe you should change that, when there is zero answer from you to the “player”.

    • Technically the PS5 can play PS2 games. Over 50 of them to be exact. But I do agree that PS Now should be a backwards compatibility service as well. How PS Now works is by streaming games from PS hardware from a server. The games are the same ones available on the PS Store.

If you look at the PS3 PS store there are over 300 PSOne and PS2 games that can be downloaded. And if they can be downloaded off the PS Store. They can work on PS Now. So there’s no excuse.

  • PS, please consider including God Hand 🙏🏾🥺 I beg u!!!

  • We already had horizon zero Dawn months ago at least give us one AAA game with exclusive game we had before 😉

    • the arroganct sony december offerings for plus and now strike again. you know what to expect from them. hey get now and plus on sale for black friday, and december here’s the weak tea addictions.

horizon complete is a great game, but they offered horizon this year and you could buy it on sale this past week and last year for a tenner.

don’t reup, that’s all they look at the $$$

    • *additions

  • I’ve reinstalled the exe twice, and I still don’t see the new games. Did they add them yet?

  • I try to download Horizon again after having played earlier this year but I have a strange error sound when hitting the download button. It works when streaming but download is a no no. Anyone with the same issue.

  • So sad I cannot Install horizon on my ps5, can stream only 😭😭😭😭😭

  • So horizon zero dawn yet again in the same year as the marquee game. a game for the last 10 days i could buy $10 cad but already bought well back when complete was available at $30 well worth it.

i buy a majority of playstation exclusives or at least play them from the library to see if they suit me, and then typically still buy them. So it hasn’t been egregious the shenanigans sony pulls with it’s exclusives on ps now.

fact is if they add a game they own they should leave it on here to add value to the service l they obviously only add old or underperforming titles anyways cough days cough gone cough etc,

why the f would they take days off here, in 35 days or whatever it is just to add it back in 8 months, same with spiderman base edition or god of war and the rest.

I will not be renewing ps now when my year ends, frankly the value is one shot then it stagnates and relies solely on the editions. which have been bethesda focus home interactive deep silver etc driven. All underperforming stuff. the odd occasion they add something else or excellent it is the shell or base version of the game with heavy dlc expansions mtx etc being the reason it is offered on here like getting old ubisoft underperforming live services is doing anyone a favour on your most expensive subscription offering.

the ps3 and ps2 games have been left to die, the streaming is 720 period with noticeable input lag from ps3 to ps4 on a high quality internet connection in a main city.

The service has real value if you are interested in the non main stream stuff to check out. like stranded deep, a very mediocre niche game this month i will like to mess around with but was never going to buy.

i had the option to stack another year on for 25% off and i hard passed because of all the above. They need a clear vision of what this service is going to be. I know i will only be offered a few more games in the coming months that i had any interest at all prior, and frankly the service could be a lot better than it is. Plus is ransomed online play, now could really be compelling in the long term with an overhaul. the legacy portion is a failure.

  • on plus this month you give just cause 4, a game that just exited now recently.

the pattern isn’t good. I know the arguments people make defending the services, and talking about “free” games, despite in both cases they are paid for rentals.

They don’t read the blog in years, so you must vote with your wallet. exclusives should stay on the service, they should increase the quality of streaming or drop it altogether. they should increase the quality of legacy or drop that all together and focus on ps4. currently it’s a mess. It needs a rework, it’s fine for people that have a wide range of tastes and play a lot of games to supplement their collection but for others i think 3 months sub or 1year one time is all Sony will get with people not feeling the need to resub. I would expect to see an overhaul next year with there being no additions or changes to ps3 or ps2 and streaming in a very long time. That and bethesda getting yanked off which is a huge part of the value proposition currently.

  • Hey PlayStation. Is it possible to add Forza horizon 4 to ps because i want to play it alot but its only available on Xbox but can you see if you could because then i really love that game.

  • Good month sony. The best thing is horizon zero dawn complete edition will stay forever that’s something great, YOU HAVE TO PUT ALL UR EXCLUSIVES BACK AND STAY FOREVER, kepp going 👍

  • Darksiders 3 and Broforce have been on PS+ already. Horizon is great but it has been already on the service. Taking back a gift and then re-gifiting it next year is kind of a dick move. I just wish PS now wouldn’t devaluate itself by offering games long term customers of PlayStation already got. I think I will let my subscription lapse and resub when games are on there I actually care about and don’t have already.

  • For some reason Sony is not interested in doing simple things to make every ps5 or ps4 user a now subscriber. Easy like adding all exclusives new and old to the service also adding better titles every month it feels like gamepass gets better titles that now. If any one paid attention you could of snagged a code for 23 bucks for 3 months of gamepass do that four times and that’s 92 for the year oh yeah and that is for 3 subs gold, gamepass and ea access. Even though I have always owned both consoles I have not been playing my ps4 much. And never got a chance to snag a ps5 since all the bots snatched them up.

  • Horizon is such a phenomenal game. I already own it but I’ll count it as a great month for ps+ as more people will get to experience it. The surge was a very flawed but interesting enough concept for a game. I’ll be interested in trying the surge 2.

  • andrei

  • It’s so great we keep hearing about all these “great” games that will be available…..and no way of buying the console there made for. You should save all the money your wasting on advertising games and actually use that money to build systems, you know, that were supposed to play these games on?

  • Don’t know if it’s related to that I downloaded it last time it was on PS Now, but if I got to Horizon, it wants me to pay for it.

    • I’m having this same issue. According to the chat I had with their support just now, it’s not included and won’t be included for the PS5 version of PSNow. I suspect their support isn’t correct on this and there’s a bug somewhere.

    • Well I guess knowing I’m not the only one makes me feel better. I hope they fix this soon.

  • Every time I click on PS NOW and select Horizon it just shows the $19.99 price. It doesn’t say download or stream. I wanna play it, this has never happened before.

  • When I click Horizon on PSNOW for PC, absolutely nothing happens. I can play any other game in the library. Anybody else having the same issue?

  • More JRPGs Please
    Kingdom Hearts 3
    Dragon Quest 11
    Tales of Berseria

    • Problem with that is Sony doesn’t actually seem to know what an RPG is.

They called Borizon and the Surge both “RPGs” here (though strangely another game on the list which has the same gameplay isn’t).

So a “JRPG” would probably end up being Shadow of the Colossus. 😂

  • i cant start or load horizon zero dawn any solutions

    • I’m having the same issue. I contacted Playstation Support today via chat, and all they could tell me was it is a new game and everybody is playing it. It’s the only game in the library that I can’t play! It works perfectly on another account that I created (free trial).

  • i cant download or stream horizon zero dawn any solutions

  • Please add any socom game Ty

  • Same problem here as most – download doesn’t work for Horizon Zero Dawn on my PS4, I can only stream. The download button is displayed but does nothing. No problem with any of the other new entries on PS Now… please fix this, Sony, thanks.

  • No hate but seriously you guys need to add some good games once in a while like the past 2/3 months these games have been absolute trash and games no one likes, fr like throw in an assassins creed game or uncharted or another cod game something half decent

  • I still can’t download Horizon zero dawn with ps now. A survey has shown that at least 10% are affected.

  • Google pay 95$ consistently my last pay check was $8200 working 10 hours out of every week on the web. My more young kin buddy has been averaging 15k all through ongoing months and he works around 24 hours consistently. I can’t confide in how straightforward it was once I endeavored it out. This is my primary concern……𝓦𝔀𝔀.𝓖𝓸𝓒𝓪𝓼𝓱9.𝓬𝓸𝓶

  • Fix the ability to download Horizon Sony.
It seems to be stuck for all of us who downloaded it earlier this year.

I noticed the old download is still part of my download history list and if I go there and try and download it, it gets stuck in the “checking” phase. It don’t go further.
Seems like there is a bug that clashes between the first time it was on PS Now and now the second time.

  • Seriously though when is Australia going to be able to get PS Now? All Australia has is PS never 🤮😞

  • Soooooo… PS Now for Australia when? PS Never??

  • Horizon Zero Dawn and Darksiders III? nice. Poor aussies.

  • Horizon Zero Dawn still not downloadable. Most likely, this has to do with the previous version being already downloaded before when it was on PS Now.

Anyone managed to solve this somehow?

    • I reported this error to Sony about two weeks ago still nothing has changed on either playstation now or my account either.
I suggest you and anyone who has this problem to file a report and try and explain the problem to the best of your ability. The more we report the bigger the chance they actually look into this.
I too believe it is because we downloaded it earlier this year when it was first up on PS NOW and that somehow that old horizon download is colliding with the new one somehow.

    • I also have notified PS Support, they keep sending me the same standard e-mail with helpful instructions like “try downloading from the PS Store web page” although I have explained several times it wasn’t a PS Store problem but a PSNow problem. Moreover, I was not a PSNow member when this game was med available the first time, so I don’t think it has anything to do with a previous installation…
I am NOT impressed at all with this level of customer support, to say the least.

    • I did contact support and they said they reset the previous licence. It did not work for me though.

Since then it is not possible to contact support anymore. They say on their Dutch website that it’s not possible to contact them because of an increased number of complaints. Well, that’s an easy way to reduce the number I guess :-)

I hope they manage to sort this at some point.

  • Very good month overall, excited to play all of these after finishing days gone.
