  • @Nathan Clark

Are we never gonna see sales on PS3 or PS Vita games ever again? I can’t help but feel neglected. I want Wolfenstein and Soul Caliber II HD on sale, at least one of those is Halloween worthy, hello?

    • Agreed…need PS3 and Vita sales back, still got games and DLC to buy on them and it’s an absurd that some games never dropped price.

    • No, PS3 and Vita games are being removed from the Store end of the month.

    • Single mom makes $89844/yr in her spare time on computer without selling or buying any thing. I got inspired and start work now within a month i am making $125 per hour. Its too easy no skill or experience required just join the link for more information…..

  • Aint no love if the PS3 can’t have none

  • bring back ps3 and vita games to sales… microsoft give to fans retro suport, why do you not?

  • Announce Day’s Gone 2 please!! Literally that game is so underappreciated, and the ending is set up for a part II!!

  • Put back PS3 games discounts please including Deus Ex Human Revolution Director’s Cut. One last time please…

  • Disgusting that you’re removing PS3, Vita, and PSP games from the web PlayStation Store. Reverse this decision.

    • Damn I didn’t know about that…that’s disgusting indeed what a bunch of bastards.Sony keeps on going in the wrong path. It’s unbelievable how much effort they put in excluding PS3 and Vita from things…removed PS3 message connectivity with other PS systems and the app and now this WTF?

  • If you can’t respect your loyal consumers that bought previous PlayStation consoles, I’m totally discouraged from supporting PS5.

Or perhaps mass-send 10-digit discount codes via email, this time applicable only for PSX, PSP, PS3 and PS Vita games and DLC? That would work as a lazy but effective workaround. But some of us would need at least several such codes to complete the legacy PS library.

Also please consider leaving an ‘old PS Store version’ button when launching the new PS Store.

    • And how come Dead Nation is not discounted for Halloween, not even on PS4? I thought my friend could jump in but not for the full price since Apocalypse Edition is already 6 years old.

    • Ditto.

Sony are about to be selling a digital-only PS5, yet they cut off sales and web store support for the PS3 and Vita w/ barely a word to their loyal fans? From a 20 year fan, LMFAO.

Not sure whether I’m buying more controllers from Sony, but I am certain that is the only money they could possibly get from me w/o rectifying the retro support issue.

  • I find it baffling you can try and sell a digital only ps5 while killing the web store for ps3 and vita. I could understand sectioning them off into a retro area but this is just wrong. The disrespect you show your long term players and your own legacy will bite you eventually.

  • If you’re going to remove legacy content from the web store at least ensure that we can still access the content we own via the new webstore’s download list. It’s a pain to go through the download list on console/handheld and the webstore with the PSDLE extension made it so much easier to redownload content to PS3 and Vita (DLC and delisted items especially).

  • How is zombie chronicles not included in this sale:(

  • Does the Vita fall into the undead category? Time for a resurrection? Vita means life… after death? You get my point?

  • Please have some PS3 sales!
I want to buy ”Batman:Arkham Origins Blackgate Deluxe Edition”. But not for full price.

  • Regarding PlayStation Store, do not remove the web browser / mobile version’s functionality for apps, avatars, themes, PS3, PSP, and Vita/PSTV content. The on-console Store apps are borderline useless (or entirely defunct, in the case of the PSP), with several items only accessible via the current web version. Furthermore, after all these years, there are users like me with thousands of items in their Download Lists, but there is no way of sorting, filtering, or searching through these lists except through user-created browser extensions, like the eminently useful PSDLE. Without community efforts, the usability of my legacy systems would be severely hampered. If you’re going to chokepoint functionality this hard, just close the entire range of the Stores; otherwise, keep something up for us to get any kind of mileage out of your aged setups.

  • “This new digital sale covers an extensive range of titles, so even if you’d rather keep your Hallows’ Eve horror-free, there’s plenty of discounted treats to pick from.”

Really? All I see for PS3 and Vita is a few crossbuy titles. I wouldn’t call that “plenty of discounted treats to pick from”

  • 1. This is a very tepid sale, with many titles here flogged often and for deeper discounts at other times.

    2. the comments are full of cheap af crybaby legacy players. We are talking about december 2011 launch for Vita and November 11 2006 launch date for ps3. 14 years and 1 day from the Ps5 launching on nov 12th.

For the average person to buying anything on ps3 or the vita is an incredibly big ask and it is relatively very rare compared to their business on ps4 and soon 5.

I have my ps3 still i had a 60gb full fat one that bricked as well from launch window, my 160gb works fine with my te fightstick but both original ds3 are registering random inputs do to age and i cannot replace these new if i wanted to i have to repair or buy used.

  • I have been offered since the inception if the psn store (and i have the milestone avatars to prove it) these games on sale for years, all of the things that you could want that were mainstream were offered over and over again.

i purchased a white vita prior to ps4 launch and it is the same there, was offered a huge list of games on sale or on ps plus, ps3 also was loaded with ps plus.

i notice a trend with the complainers they never were playing games when they were current and they don’t understand how business works even on ps4 and soon with ps5.

Sony and it’s partners work on the premise of margin aka all the crap that is offered discounted all the time like ubisoft and ea titles and margin, aka niche stuff with a small market that barely if at all goes on sale.

if you bought a ps3 or vita late suck it up and just pay for the stuff you are most interested in instead of whining.

theres many games for decades that i don’t value at $60 so i wait for a deal or pass, in the case of stuff like nintendo you pay the price if you want it.

just be happy they didn’t turn off the in console stores. The web download list is bs but that is typical sony.

    • edit, volume sales and margin sales.

selling 1000’s++for volume ie ubisoft ea etc

and selling 100’s++ at high percentage profit. the games i see people cry over all the time every store blog posting with some niche non mainstream titles.

  • you want something for ps3 or vita, buy / download your copies to the memory now.

buy the blu ray disc, the vita cards LOL, the ds3 controllers the spare vita batteries now.

the writing has been on the wall for years, they don’t have a business viable route to backwards compatible support these games systems. ps now is a glorified ps plus download rental service, i know as i have it.

i sold my vita and accessories and got a ps4 pro, it was the best decision i made regarding vita since the beginning as the remote play i bought it for was ass, and the best games in it were indie multiplats anyways.

i see the same whining over dlc like old hunters and the frozen wilds, and when they make the sale like this week no one says thank you they complain with loud entitlement about vita ps3 because they bought a vita after watching a hipster video on youtube and say why am i not getting the best stuff for pennies.

because they offered it all for years already on ps3 as well. i have been here since ps one buying their stuff when it is good. where were you?

what i won’t support after move and the rest is stuff like ps vr.

if you value your time just buy the quality games and finish them, quit complaining about the deals 800 of you deserve from Sony.

  • Why is it so difficult to see which new games are coming out for a given week? Just tell us like you used to do.
