The last showcase didn’t mention anything about showing off the console either. And even the name of the event suggest they’ll be talking in depth about the console itself. Especially at this stage I don’t see how they wouldn’t.

Got a feeling that we are getting another showcase after this and before launch.
You mean other than they expect most of the 4,000+ PS4 games to work on PlayStation 5 at launch and that the top 100 will work with PlayStation 5 boost mode? They are really saying most as a precaution like Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time having issues on the original PlayStation 3 console. An issue I think that was caused by Star Ocean 3 constantly looking for the PS2 memory card. Not sure if it crashed if you did not activate the trophy system in that game. Also like DSi and 3DS both not working with some DS games. While the majority work, a few titles ran into issues either from changes to the OS or based on the change in specs. The biggest difference here is the games can get a patch as long is it is not like Godzilla, Transformers Devastation, or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles where they are no longer licensed to receive support. Not saying they will have issues, but if they do, that is it for them.

It will be the launch games and more so yes some of the games you saw in June will be here. Some will be brand new.

Of course it will be. PS4 was insane for the pure GDDR5 400 quid value that is still paying off in 2020 with some insane looking games. My guess is 400 for the digital and 450 for the physical.
Please talk about more in dept about compatibility and I would love to see a preview of the new ps5 interface

Please Explain Backward Compatibility…
I mean does it really support old console games, so we direct play them OR if the game makers remastered them then only we can play that game.
I have digital copy of some PS3 and PS2 games, can I play them on ps5?

No the the ps5 has already been confirmed to only support PS4 backwards compatibility. The rest will probably be through ps now like it currently is
It would be great if they AT LEAST added support for those PS3 Format of PS1 and PS2 games that we already bought in 2006 to 2013.
Even full PS1 support would be awesome too, such an easy thing to do in software, even PS Vita was able to run them. The only reason we never got those on PS4 was because “PlayStation TV” existed but it died so fast, its surprising they never brought over it all to PS4.
With the amount of sales PS4 got, why WOULDN’T they want to keep selling those same PS1 and PS2 digital re-released games since the PS3 days???
PS5 is rumoured to be able to play all PS4 games with no restrictions to launching them, regardless if the game will run perfectly or not. I’m sure FW updates over time will fix any overall backwards compatible issues.
Of course, there are a lot of games that will be most certainly be enhanced with specific patches to achieve a great experience.

Anything you could play on a PS4, you’re supposed to be able to launch on PS5 (although it’s not guaranteed that all games will play without issues).
PS3 and PS2 discs are big nope though.

UI and features aren’t something that are typically in this kind of thing. They can put out a post here on the blog later on with that kind of stuff. Most people watching something like this want to see the games, date, and price.

They said like a month ago that they won’t just say pre orders live now. They will give a heads up. My guess is they will announce launch day and price and say you can pre order from Friday the 18th.

I’m confused, how can the digital be backwards compatible when MOST games (older versions anyways is not digital their on disk? I already have my Xmas shopping list, but I’m going with the disk drive, I don’t buy DLC games that I don’t have away to play (understandably in mim. mode) IE: no internet connections, and any DLC for the game add-ions will not be avl. but you still have something to play
