  • Please Vita and PS3 game sales. What is preventing you from putting sales for those devices outside of Crossbuy PS4 games.

    ….

Most of the games in this sale have been on sale plenty of times. Nothing new. Probably going to be the same discount price as last time.

    • They’re too busy giving us sales on the same junk we’ve seen on sale 87 times this year already.

    • Dude…the ps5 is getting release in 3 months. get with the time and move one from the old generation…

    • @Inhert speak for yourself I still play my PS3 as much if not more than my PS4. I have over 300 digital games on PS3 and there’s many more I’d love to add if we still got sales from time to time.

    • @TheBeardedRonin, how do you store your digital games? Are all of them download? I am seeking some best practice. I have a 1.5TB in one PS3 with 229 games and a 1TB in my second PS3 with 207 games. I really wish the PS3 supported external HDD. Also, I am so annoyed that 11% of the PS3 HDD is reserved for future OS update. I have over 150GB storage of my PS3 not being used and not accessible to me.

    • Exactly. The same publishers discount PS3/Vita titles with a PC edition on Steam. This is all on Sony.

    • @TheBeardedRonin, Same here. So instead of buying digital versions at ridiculous prices, it’s easier to Ebay a perfect physical copy for less.

@gohan16ken, I have the same setup with dual PS3s. That’s the only way to do it. Oddly Sony still updates the PS3 OS to kill modded and hacked consoles. That’s of course fine–nothing wrong with stopping piracy and cheaters, but it’s too bad that they don’t care about supporting their actual customers.

    • @Tatanka2007 Do you have any best practices in case your PS3 HDD die? For me, I backed up my two PS3 internal HDD on an external 2TB Silicon Power military grade HDD. Then I make a backup copies of those backup lol The other frustrating part is that I can’t use one back up external HDD to restore a different PS3. It seems the backup is specific to the PS3 that it was backed up from.

I get that Sony is updating the PS3. But, there was a 5GB PS3. Therefore, we only need 5GB of reserved storage. Sony is reserving over 150GB of my internal HDD.

With my Xbox 360, I am happy because everything is on an external HDD, I made multiple copies, and I can use it on any Xbox 360 if I am logged into Xbox Live. But, I can’t do that with the PS3 backup. So, I am very fearful. This is why I wished the PS4 Pro or the PS5 work with all digital PS3 games. Or at least, the PS Vita supported PS2 digital games. Or even the PS4 supported all PS2 digital games from PS3.

I just want other ways to back up my PS3. Eventually, my PS3 will die and I do not want to lose almost 500 digital games.

If I could do it over, I would have only bought exclusive on PS3 digitally. This is what I did with the Wii U and 3DS. And buy majority of the games on Xbox 360.

    • Yes, please there are some games I’d like to buy on my PS3 and PS Vita

    • Most games have been removed from the PS3 store now. Nothing to put on sale and Vita stopped getting support years ago.

  • So basically, no one is buying it.

  • Even if TLOU2 is on sale I doubt anyone would buy it instead of Ghost of Tsushima.

  • There seems to be a mistake. Its shows TLOU2 at £44.99 – is that not RRP?

    • I noticed that too, Smyths toys were selling the game at €59.99 from release, psn “sale” price is €59.99.
I’d also love to know where they get their currency conversion from cos €60 is around about £53.

  • Judging by retailers TLOU2 is probably only getting a $10 discount. People in these comments acting like the game is going on sale for $20 or $30 because it isn’t selling LOL. A game getting a $10 discount after being out 3 months is nothing.

  • When The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima is coming to PC?
Release it already Sony, stop lying to consumers.

  • I don’t get the hate of TLOU 2, seems like a very vocal bunch of fools. It was a great game, not as good as the first but still excellent.

    • @Rusty M1982

The reason why people were upset with the game is how bad the story was. Plus the dumb decisions the characters were making. And playing a secondary character for around 60% of the game. Fake advertising and restricting the media from mentioning the second half of the game to avoid pre-order sales.

I sold my copy of my game. I will never play Part 2 ever again.

However I did enjoy the first game.

    • Strangeheaven:
But that does not make sense. This is a videogame story. It was not worse than the other videogame stories. I dont remember people complaining about realism of NPC decisions in Persona 5 :-D There was nothing wrong with TLoU2 story. People just wanted to hate it.
If you play as some character for 60% of the time, it is really not a secondary character :-D It was main character.
Not mentioning story after some chapter is normal part of the reviews. It is not consorship – it is called “not spoiling the game to the players” :-D

    • Sure, the general story premise was kinda simple but the writing was great and characters (including the supporting ones) were even better. Definitely my favorite game this year and it did have some very strong competition.

    • The writing was terrible, was nothing like the writing of the original.

  • Season pass ok why not, Season Pass for Borderlands 3 that cost over 40 eur no thank you. People buying this are really killing the market…

  • Wher UFC4? :(

  • My card was blocked not 2 days ago whilst trying to purchase LOU2 and FF7Remake. No apparent reason and today I see this, a pleasant moment indeed. Card working fine today, will purchase LOU2 with the discount. Its only 18% but i’ll take it.

  • please put uncharted nathan drake collection in discount.

  • Ah, Last Of Us II, 20% off, but still 25% more expensive than retail… Makes sense.

  • Some good reductions, but frustrating that you still can’t buy games that are already available to you via subscription services (eg. PlayStation Plus, EA Access). Hopefully Sony introduce a “Buy to Keep” option with the PS5, as Microsoft have offered this for a while now.

  • what[s the discount for the last of us 2?

  • After playing Divinity original sin 2
l had blast now I’m waiting for Divinity original sin enhanced edition

  • Wow, a 15% discount on tlou 2. It’s only a bit more expensive than the physical edition now. Love U Sony.

  • really looking forward to this essential sale. Im going to be getting need for speed and star wars jedi. Thank you playstation for always putting sales on games, keep up the good work.

  • sony where are the ps3 and ps vita games in the sales, please do not leave us …

  • I just Picked up TLOU 2 for $30 at gamefly 😁 too

  • Sekiro Shadows Twice is staying elusive as ever from going on sale.

The price is a whopping £59.99 on the store. I remember it did receive a price drop a few months ago priced £38.99 hardly a sale price.

It’s hard to buy this game second hand on Ebay for under £30.00 let alone brand new.

This game should now be priced around £15.99-£19.99. Its been out since March 2019.

I don’t mind if I play it on digital or physical. I just want that sweet price point between £15.99-£19.99 I’ve waited patiently 18 months like many others.

Is the game selling really well or something, because you hardly see it in retail like Amazon, who I try to avoid, and many other retail shops and online stores? 🤔

  • The last of us 2 is 7% discounted in my Country’s ps store.
    That’s a 5 euro drop !!!
    What a joke!
