  • “Share of the Week – Women”

There had to be a better way to title this.

  • What about Sony Pictures? They are making some decent money with Spiderman and the other marvel franchises

  • Wow.

    I’m done.

  • No Quiet?

    I’m disappointed.

  • This idea that releasing ONE game on another platform will be the death of the PlayStation is ludicrous.

Additionally you are sitting here engaging on their platforms still, which simply shows that you are still invested in what they offer. Quit trying to gatekeep people away from a fantastic experience just because they are using a different means of engaging with it than you would.

  • You should do one featuring men
    #Isaac Clarke, anyone?

  • It’s not just one. 2 are already know, MLB and HZD. Shawn Layden’s interview from last August there will be more “select” games to be ported. Have you seen the job postings at Naughty Dog looking to hire Nvidia programmers? Nvidia tech is only on PC and Switch…you should probably expect a game from ND to to to PC too. They are lying about HZD being an experiment. It would be more accurate to say it is one game of many going first.

  • MLB is not a good example. That requires other licensing outside of Sony. Horizon Zero Dawn also is not a big deal going to PC. Overall games multiplatform still tend to sell better in console and PlayStation tends to do better than most for multiplatform games.

Also Sony is giving a now older PlayStation 4 title. They might make some extra money on it, but not likely going to be a massive game changer.

Sony themselves is in the medical industry too along with many other things. Plus people made similar comments with PS Now.

This could also produce a slightly different effect if say they announce Horizon ZERO Dawn as a PlayStation 5 exclusive and the PC players get to try Horizon Zero Dawn and like it. It could push a few PC players on the fence to PlayStation 5.

Lastly I work for one of the larger computer companies. PCs are actually losing market share to tablets. That includes parts sales dropping. While PC versatility makes sense, the market is not exactly for it at this point.

  • No pc player is going to rush to buy ps5 after playing horizon on pc. Sony released journey, flower, flow, heavy rain, beyond, detroit, ready set heroes last year on pc. And mlb, horizon, death stranding is coming to pc. All those games are owned by sony even if they are not developed by a sony studio. Obviously sony is going to continue releasing games for pc. Probably after a year or less within a couple of years.
Is this a problem? Kind of due to opportunity cost. If sony is using resources for pc they are not using them for ps. Instead of horizon for pc we could have got infamous collection or resistance for ps4 or 5.

  • Only one game going to PC?
Let’s count: Horizon Zero Dawn, Journey, Flower, Detroit, Beyond, Heavy Rain, Death Stranding, Flow, Ready Set Heroes and MLB games from now on.

You can also include Nioh (published by Sony), Helldivers and Everbody’s Gone From the Rapture.

There are strong rumors of Dreams and even more games moving to PC. It’s safe to say that every “exclusive” will go.

  • These pics are all really great. Nice going, everyone!

  • Wonderful pictures! Also heck yeah @ celebrating diversity in games!

Control, A Plague Tale: Innocence, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Tomb Raider are still shamefully still on my backlog.

  • I think you might be a minority here… I personally have huge respect for Sony for making gaming more accessible by doing things like this. If there is indeed a sequel coming for HZD, this is going to get more people aboard the ‘hype train’ which is never a bad thing!

Maybe try to think of it more as promotion for the platform (“here’s the kinds of games over on PlayStation – come check them out!”) and less “every game is gonna end up on other platforms”.
