  • Totally off topic, but there are so many deaf eyes on the internet and no real way to email playstation for help. I’ve called,but like a safe chicken coop, there are no more foxes. Here goes.. After update 7.02 many ps4 500gb slims have been damaged. My closest guess is that the system update has a disc driver that doesn’t see the disc drive anymore for that particular ps4 model. I have tried all the various resets and update methods. I have verified the mechanical parts of the drive. There is power going to the drive and the fuses are good. I have called support and they have told me they don’t know about this issue and have no plans to fix it, but will gladly take half the cost of a new machine to repair it – very nice… in a “selling the cure to a fatal disease that we gave you” sort of way. No need to be negative. I am here to seek help to this issue. Hoping to catch the attention of someone with enough compassion and access to management to help. Let us know there is a fix, fix it, help us. There are a few online and many many more silently sitting in their homes who think their machine broke of its own accord and are going to be financially victimized by playstations lack of communication and negligence… and likely get in on a class action further down the line. No one but lawyers getting rich and people getting a splinter of compensation, instead of building trust and helping those who have bought into the playstation equipment ecosystem. So, again, I ask – please someone help us
