  • and what about Android Devices (non Experia), will it ever be available? any ETA?

    • I can’t quite figure out, the meaning of this. If your Playstation has to be online and you can’t play, if you’re not under the same wifi, it’s not Remote play?
I thought that this meant to be a solution to play Playstation on the move. If i want to play on my Playstation in another room, why would i do it on a small phone screen?

  • Is there any possibility of having the PS4 Remote Play App on Apple TV?

    • Yes, this times 100. Since iOS and TvOS are so similar please Sony release the remote play app for TvOS. The only negative is that without a PS4 Pro you can’t do 1080p via remote play, only 720p. So on larger TVs it might not look that great compared to a small monitor, tablet or phone screen.

  • I don’t understand why Android users can’t use remote play without a sony device if apple users can

  • Well… as an apple user i’m quite excited for this. I use remote play most nights when I’m going to bed.

  • Dear Anand and Sony Playstation,

Now that Playstations Dualshock 4 is officially recognized by Apple as an option for mobile games, can you please release the OFFICIAL SONY accessory adaptor for mobile gaming on Dualshock 4?

Many of us here in the U.S. would appreciate it since, I believe, never released here.

Thanks, Go Green and God bless!

  • Does anyone have any tips for smooth remote play? I’ve tried several options and it never seems to be 100% fluid. Also unfortunately because of where my PS4 is, I can’t wire it directly to the modem. Thanks in advance.

  • Hey, it’s great that you’re expanding to Non-Sony Xperia phones! Can this be the first step towards allowing Android (Non-Xperia) phones to use this service too?

  • I can understand the “touch” function not being available, but the fact that the touch pads physical button is not available is strange. Many of the games I play use the touch pad click to enter menus. Having to remove my hand from the controller to use the iPads/iphones screen breaks game continuity. Please bring the touchpad physical click button functionality!!

    • Yes, the touchpad button needs to work too for the remote play to be usable. Yesterday I tried the remote play on my iPad for the first time. I really liked how well I could play Control with it until I realized I could not access the menu screen to select a mission or view items.

  • I am wanting an app for the Nintendo Switch to play PlayStation 4, but this is cool. Maybe need to wait for the iPhone update to pair controller. Thx!

  • Are there plans to bring Remote Play to Android users that don’t have an Experia phone?

  • Thanks for the update.

I just switched from Xperia to iPhone with iOS13 and Apple Acrade.

I held out with Sony as long as I could, but the Xperia experience, is just horrible.

Please, consider moving your Mobile business over to PlayStation. I would be back in an instant, if you were to offer a PlayStation Phone. Drop a PS Phone in a Vita like form factor, with the same OS as PS4, and a shared library of games, apps, and services, and you’d have something great.

I would prefer to have a mobile device with native playback of my PS4 library. With Ryzen and RDNA, I know the tech is there to make it happen. It is up to you if to deliver a mobile device, that will bring me back to the PlayStation Ecosystem.

  • lmao imagine being a major company and releasing an app for iOS and not Android. Y’all just annoyed more than 50% of the people that want remote play on their phones

  • Bring PS Now to mobile please.

  • When I press the power button on my Dualshock to turn it on, it automatically turns on my PS4 and connects to it. How do I turn on the controller to use with Apple without turning on my PS4?

  • Now that the DualShock 4 is compatible with iOS, will the Remote Play app be updated so that we can play fullscreen landscape mode (without the virtual buttons). Thanks!

  • I have been able to use remote play fine on my iOS devices. The only issue I have had is easily returning my controllers to the PS4. When I would like to play on the main console again, my DualShock 4 will auto link to the iPad/phone. Once I accidentally paired all of my controllers to the iPad and could not control the PS4 at all. Is there a easy solution to the problem that I am not aware of?
