Days Gone Gets New Game Plus Mode September 13

Plus new Trophies and two new difficulty modes.

I’m excited to announce that Days Gone will be releasing its New Game Plus mode. This has been the most requested fan feature since we launched back in April, and it will be available on September 13 through a downloadable update.

Players can now re-experience the epic journey through Days Gone, this time with the advantage of previously earned weapons, bike upgrades, NERO boosters, skills, recipes, encampment trust and credits, collectibles, and trophy progress unlocked from the beginning.

New Game Plus can be started from any save game where the “I’m Never Giving Up” storyline has been completed. You can play NG+ on any difficulty level; Easy, Normal, Hard, Survival, or try it in one of our two new difficulty modes: Hard II and Survival II, regardless of the previous difficulty mode. These new difficulty modes are not specific to NG+ and can be experienced by brand-new players as well.

Perks from patches earned in challenges continue to carry over to the main game, but now they can be used in NG+ and all difficulty modes. So if you haven’t started any of the Challenge modes yet, I highly recommend going for gold in each challenge in order to maximize your gameplay perks before NG+ releases.

In addition, we have a few new trophies available to earn in NG+, Hard II and Survival II modes. Including one related to a mysterious new weapon from an agent that only operates in the shadows.

This is the perfect opportunity to return to the Pacific Northwest and replay your favorite horde encounters, take on ambush camps, and clear infestation zones with your expanded arsenal. But remember, this is Days Gone where the world comes for you — constantly.

New Game Plus isn’t the only news we have about Days Gone today; Mondo has created a vinyl of the Days Gone soundtrack. Featuring 25 unique tracks from the game — including 20 by composer Nathan Whitehead — the soundtrack is pressed on 180 gram colored vinyl discs. The soundtrack will be available for pre-order beginning September 11 on their website.

  • this is awesome

  • I just hope it’s not another 25GB update.

  • I am amazed by the amount of support this game is getting post release. Kudo’s!!!

  • I haven’t played this but like the concept. Is it worth investing in if you already have a bunch of open world shooters in the back log?

    • It would be nice to know do we need to make two different playthroughts to get Hard 2 and Survival 2 trophies? Or it will be possible to play it on Survival 2 to get also Hard 2 in a single playthrough?

    • I think it is not could be pretty boring at fast and then picks up

    • It is worth sorry I typed it wrong

    • Hey! It is really worth it! I do like also open world games and still I didnt complete Withcher 3 datadisks. But Days Gone is different. For me it is not that type of “one session go through” like GOW or U4, but I come back every other evening, make a camp, side mission, little progress on main story. And still….its very very entertaining to me. I play mainly sneaking. Unlike GOW or HZD, where I enjoyed mostly rushing into every enemy. It depends. In Days Gone I like, that you are so weak against horde. You must run or taking them one by one. Sometime horde of freakers (days gone like zombies) make me change my mind on mission. I have to find another way or different mission and wait horde to move out. These mechanics are that, which are making this game so special. I definitely can recommend it alongside HZD and GOW (GOW isnt so much like open world, but has few aspects of this genre).

    • Thanks for the replies! Gonna check it out!

    • Delete them all and get this! Great game!

  • Can’t wait for a sequel.

  • I can’t wait to play this over again, I love this game. I wonder if it will be possible to change the difficulty during the NG+ though. Thank you for the amazing support and for making such a fun game to play Bend!

  • I just wanted to thank the entire team for what you guys have been doing! I am so glad this game is getting all of this love from not only the fans but from the team itself. It really shows us that you guys poured your heart into it and makes us all even more excited for the future of the series. It’s really something special.

  • Nice but do we get the reward ps4 design when you reached platinum???? And still don’t get it

  • This is awesome…Cant wait!!! Hope we can get a Horde, Marauder camp reset also someday. Would love to be able to keep replaying those after finishing the game…Thanks Bend

  • To all those at Bend Studios, you have done an amazing job with Days Gone. The game itself was so amazing, but all the additional content has been such a welcome addition in a market that tends to nickel and dime gamers at every chance. This is without a doubt GOTY for me, nothing has even been close thus far. Can’t wait to see the last couple weekly challenges, add a couple more patches to my arsenal, and take on Survival II. Looking forward to the mystery weapon and some future story editions to complete the Nero story line!

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you! This is in my top 5 for sure, such an amazing game!

  • This is awesome!!! But I’m sure everyone is wondering…….where is Sarah in free roam????……I miss her! Is she going to be in the update?

  • Awesome news!!!! Thank you Bend Studio for a great game and all of your hard work to keep making it better. I love it when a game studio actually listens to the fans. Thank you!!!
    Like many, I hope we get a DG2 :D

  • I look forward to this, any excuse to play through the game again. Great job Bend

  • GotY

  • Any chance we can get the option to lower the ramp time when turning the camera? Thanks

  • si juego en difícil se podrá jugar nueva partida +en superviviente ????

  • My heartfelt thanks to everyone at Bend Studios on an absolutely awesome game. I loved every minute. Thanks for all the support you gave the community. It’s definitely in my top five favorites. I really hope that you are hard at work on DG2, because I’m really anxious to see how the whole story unfolds as there is so much more to tell. I will definitely preorder it if there is one. Maybe we could have a trilogy? Again thanks for the adventure.

  • Details on “Survival II” mode?

  • This is a great game. Doing survival 2 mode right now and it really just highlights the game play even more.
