  • weak week

    • it’s normal this late in the year for less and less to be coming out until the holidays.

    • Not every week will have a big retail game. Next week we’ll get two new Wolfenstein Games.

    • Totally agree, yeah Wolfenstein looks cool and I might get it but it’s definitely the season—I’m pretty much not interested in buying anything until Borderlands 3, and then after september more games I want are rolling in—but all summer it’s just hunting down discounts on games I never tried.

  • Have had my eye on 198X for awhile now. Also looks like some interesting PSVR content coming out this week with Focus on You, Telefrag VR, Submersed, and Copper Canyon. Going to have the check all of them out. Etherborn also looks good.

For those wondering the new Ratalaika game this week is Mochi Mochi Boy.

  • Telefrag looks interesting and especially for anyone who’s enjoyed Unreal Tournament games. However, I did some research and the game is strictly MP. There is a mode on the Steam version for 1v1 with a bot. I don’t know if that will be on the PS VR version as well. Regardless, that doesn’t sound like much fun. So the game will depend on the MP base.

I can also confirm from developer posts on Steam that Telefrag is teleport locomotion only. That’s an instant no-buy. Limiting VR games to teleport only movement is horrible enough for casual games, but for a supposed fast-paced shooter, that’s game over. The excuse is that they want to make the game accessible to people who get sick playing VR. That leaves those of us (the majority?) getting sick from teleport movement.

    • This post is full of wrong information. Telefrag VR supports Smooth locomotion for both Dualshock 4 and the Moves. It also works with the 3D Rudder and they are going to add Aim support post launch.

It will support Offline bots and it will be Cross-Play with all other VR headsets so matchmaking will be easier.

Due to the fact that Move does not have analog sticks, we assigned the movement (forward, backward, sides and rotation) on individual buttons. So yes, with Move you’re still able to use smooth locomotion”

  • I wasn’t expecting Focus On You to release in the Americas. That’s awesome
