  • Guess I’ll listen in, cause I want to know more about Man Medan.

    Thanks y’all.

  • I love Sid, but you guys are Mothered by PlayStation. Sony feeds your family. I’m just a giant fanboy naturally, but you’d think working for Sony would make one more inclined to gain interest in all things PlayStation.

I’m all about everything gaming, but Days Gone is in a very critical stage atm. Free weekly DLC, a couple months post launch, it’s at a point where it can either sink or swim. Maybe playing the challenges and discussing them would be prudent?

Sony did just release Far From Home, hence Spider-man as the second most downloaded game in June. Talking about the film franchise (spoiler free) and bringing it back to the game and the newly added suits would be smart.

Some huge PS VR games released recently. Blood & Truth, EB Golf VR, and Trover. I’ve played them all and all are excellent. Blood & Truth is special.

I’m sure you talked about some of these things weeks ago, i’d assume, but many of these topics are still enormously relevant and Far From Home literally just released. I know everyone has their own interests, but as a massive Sony fan i’d expect those employed by the company to be huge fans as well, or at least have an obligation to support the things that PlayStation cares about.

Man of Medan is fine, but as an informed fan the situation bothers me as SM Games basically made the money to develop the entire anthology from the hand of PlayStation. If it wasn’t for the enormous success of both Until Dawn and Rush of Blood they wouldn’t have the funds to privately develop Man of Medan. Projects like The Inpatient and especially Bravo Team were clearly a means of securing money rather than providing a quality product. Numerous projects to secure funds and the notoriety of Until Dawn made Supermassive infinitely more successful and instead of rewarding the company and the fans with an Until Dawn sequel they go full multiplatform using UE4 with an entirely new IP.

Not only did Supermassive have enormous success with Until Dawn, and not only did they accrue large sums of money by skimping projects, but they also used Sony’s (Guerrilla Game’s) technology to attain that success via the Decima Engine. I know that Supermassive has unannounced PlayStation exclusives in the works, but it’s hard for me to trust they are anything more than a cash grab at this point. After hearing from actual developers at Supermassive about how all the resources for Sony projects like The Inpatient and Bravo Team were going to an unsigned internal project that ultimately ended up being The Dark Pictures Anthology i will never trust that studio again. Sony and its fans made them and they spit in our face. I loved both Until Dawn and Rush of Blood, but i can’t support The Dark Pictures Anthology when it was developed at the expense of other projects. Also, i thought Until Dawn/Decima looked better even all those years ago. Better actors as well. I’m not sure who thought Shawn Ashmore would be the next Troy Baker, but no. I’m not surprised Supermassive chose Ashmore, seeing their multiplatform aspirations makes me think they probably play a ton of Xbox/PC. Must’ve been smitten by Ashmore in the exquisitely average Quantum Break..

  • @Justin Massongill – Suggestion, not sure where else to put this out there. But consider adding a “Wish List” to the PlayStation Store, as you browse the store you can add items to your Wish List (a limit of say 10-20 items at a time or something). When an item on your Wish List goes on sale, you would receive a PSN Notification letting you know a item on your Wish List is on sale. Much like Steam does. Even if for some strange reason you guys can’t pull off the PSN notification for sales, a Wish List would still be extremely useful for a lot of PSN users.
