The Drop: New PlayStation Games for February 12, 2019

Return to a vibrant, post-apocalyptic Hope County in Far Cry New Dawn.

Hope County. 17 years later. Nature has reclaimed the land, turning Montana into a wildly different (and much more colorful) landscape than it used to be.

Far Cry New Dawn picks up nearly two decades after the explosive ending of Far Cry 5, introducing an ecosystem of mutated wildlife… and an army of new enemies led by two terrifying twins. Expeditions give players a look at how other locales across the US have been affected, and a new entourage of Guns for Hire means you never have to go it alone.

For a full list of new games coming to PlayStation next week, read on. And enjoy The Drop!

  • Far Cry: New Dawn, Metro Exodus, and Xing: the Land Beyond for me this week.

  • Hyper Jam looks really good.

  • Just Jump Force for me looks great

  • Wow lots of big games this week.

  • Man what a killer week not just for the big AAA titles but for some of the smaller studios too. I’ll be getting Metro, Jump Force, and Far Cry for the big titles.

I already have Hyper Jam and it’s a blast. Will also be picking up XING and Intruders for PSVR (Btw you should mention it’s a PSVR title in the title.) I’ve also heard good things about The King’s Bird. Degrees of Separation, Eden Tomorrow, and Conarium all look interesting as well.

    • The demo for Eden tomorrow is one of the best VR demos I have ever played and definitely sold me on the full game

  • I wish these Drops had screenshots of the games, or links to screenshots/gameplay videos. Can’t tell anything from a game cover. I miss the days when there were quality games in the PSN Store, now it seems like a rush to fill it with Mobile App Shovelware.

    Quality Over Quantity <—–

    • If only there was a simple way to simply do a search for thousands of results…or ya know…… youtube. huh…..

      oh wait…..

    • Yeah exactly. If I don’t know what a game is I just pull up Youtube and quickly have a look. It’s not a hard thing to do.

  • I almost wanna get Meow Motors for the name alone

  • its lame that Jump Force is only in Japanese.. and i speak Japanese…
ive never even heard Yugis voice in Japanese and i cant stand Gokus…
wished they had their english voices too, like DBfighterZ
Yakuza & Samurai Warriors i can understand being all Japanese.. but childhood cartoons?? add english man LOL

    • All the Jump games are Japanese audio because there some anime that haven’t had the license to be shown here yet. Just be grateful that we can get these titles.

    • ViceForce – All of the ones in this title have been aired here both in dub and sub. It has more to do with just getting the game out. JStars and I forget the one on PS2 was the same way. Even some major anime/manga games never get audio in English just because they choose so. Like visual/light novels like Steins Gate or Sword Art Online.

It all comes down to producer/devs call.

    • Jisatsu_Kiddo – On solo games, it does usually come to localization cost, it’s cheaper to just sub them then making deals with dub companies to provide their dub to the game.

However, You forget that while yes pretty much all the shows got an English Dub in this game a lot of them are owned by different Dub Companies. Dragon Ball and One Piece owned by FUNimation, Naruto by Viz Media, Yu-Gi-Oh by 4Kids, etc so if they wanted to dub all the character, they have to make deals with multiple companies that are in competition with each other.
