Marvel’s Spider-Man: Silver Lining DLC Launches Today

Silver Sable strikes! Help Spidey settle this once and for all.

Hey everyone,

Thank you all for your love for Marvel’s Spider-Man over these last few months. After the release of the game, and the first two chapters of Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps, we’re really excited to release the conclusion of the three-part DLC series today with Marvel’s Spider-Man: Silver Lining.

As with the previous chapters of Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps, we have a brand new Just the Facts trailer starring the one and only J. Jonah Jameson. I hope you enjoy these trailers as much as I do — I can’t think of any better way to get a sneak-peek of what’s in store in the newest chapter of Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps than hearing JJJ rant about it!

You can purchase Marvel’s Spider-Man: Silver Lining for $9.99 USD MSRP on PlayStation Store. Of course, if you haven’t tried any of the post-launch content yet, you also can buy the Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps bundle of all three chapters for $24.99 USD MSRP. Haven’t played Marvel’s Spider-Man yet? The Digital Deluxe Edition is an especially good value at $79.99 USD MSRP, as it includes the full game and all three chapters of Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps.

We’re very excited about this month’s new Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated film from Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures, currently in theaters. As you may know, one of the unlockable suits in this DLC chapter is Peter Parker’s suit from the animation film. It was a thrill working with the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse team. To celebrate, we’re offering a special promotion where users who pre-order Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated film from PlayStation Store will receive a voucher for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Silver Lining DLC*, a dynamic theme, and avatars as their pre-order incentive**. Pre-order the movie from PS Store, and then unlock and swing around in the animated film’s version of Peter Parker’s suit in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Silver Lining!

Marvel's Spider-Man: Silver Lining

It’s been a crazy ride for us here at Insomniac Games as we have spent the rest of 2018 developing this additional content for Marvel’s Spider-Man. We’ve been so grateful for all of your notes, comments, feedback, and support over these last few months. We hope you enjoy Marvel’s Spider-Man: Silver Lining.

And we have one last surprise for you. Today we rolled out update 1.13 for the title to prepare for today’s DLC release and it’s available to all players with an internet connection to download. This update adds a new suit to the game that many of you have been requesting since the game’s release in September. The “Webbed Suit” first made its appearance in 2002, and thanks to our collaboration and efforts with Marvel Games, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and PlayStation, we are finally able to add this oft-requested suit to the game. Happy Holidays!

Marvel's Spider-Man: "Webbed Suit"

That’s it for us for now — but for all the latest, be sure to follow Insomniac Games on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram!

*Marvel’s Spider-Man required to play Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps’ chapters. Base game not included.
**Limit one (1) per account on PlayStation™Network. Voucher expires March 25, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. PST.

  • so how do we get the voucher?

    • I’d like to know, too.

    • I too pre-ordered the film but have not yet received a voucher. I spoke to Playstation Store support and they were particularly unhelpful, only able to say that things would be “available on the day.” Well, today’s the day.

  • Insomniac design meeting:
Employee #1: “OK guys, the game gone gold, now we have time to work on the DLC. Lets decide how the player starts the new story”.
Employee #2: “Lets hide it as a submenu between the rest 10 menus on the map screen”.
Team leader: “Give this man a raise!”

  • It’s the Raimi suit! Yay, thanks Insomniac!

    • Thought I should add: the Raimi suit looks absolutely incredible in this game, but even if Insomniac decided not to include it, this still would have been an amazing video game. I know some people have harrassed Insomniac over something as small as a single suit, and that’s just awful because no one deserves that treatment ever. People think they are entitled to certain things. Thanks to Insomniac for all of the work they’ve put into this game. I hope that in the future people will trust you to do what you do best, and I hope that people will treat you like the lovely human beings you are.

  • So I downloaded the dlc and when I try to switch campaigns it takes me back to the store page to show I already got the dlc is there any way to fix this ?

  • When do we get the vouchers? I pre ordered the movie yesterday morning no email or psn message with a voucher code yet

  • I pre ordered the movie last night and have not gotten any codes for the avatar, theme, or DLC. How do we redeem the Into the Spider Verse movie pre order content for the game?

  • Really, guys? Still nothing? Your hook worked, we pre-ordered the movie, and…? At least tell us that there’s a plan. If I’d known it was gonna go this way I would’ve just paid the $10 for the DLC and I would have been playing it all day today.

    • I spoke with Sony via chat and they said the T&C of the pre order content says the codes will arrive in 7-10 days via email and PSN messages. I expressed my displeasure about this since we could all play it NOW, but the rep said there was no way to expedite……BOO-URNS Sony!!!!!

    • The T&C of the pre-order content? And where was that available? The only reference to delivery I ever saw was right here on this blog, nine days ago – – where at the bottom they said the following:

“Pre-order incentives will become available starting December 21. Limit one (1) per account on PlayStation Network. Voucher expires March 25, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. PST.”

      Here’s a screenshot:

Well, it’s now December 22nd. So unless this was clearly called out somewhere else that I never saw, I’m gonna have to call shenanigans on “7-10 days”.

I’d appreciate a comment about this from Sony or Insomniac here on this post, or a follow up. This was a cool tie in, and I’m happy to have bought into it, but I’m not happy to be missing out on the *reason* I bought into it.

    • Ya I think it’s a Sony issue not an insomniac issue but I don’t know. Im.waiting aswell. Super frustrating. I’m seeing spoilers everyday. Lol

  • Any news on a GOTY Edition, just want a definitive version of the game.

    • The Digital Deluxe Edition includes full game and all 3 single player DLC episode additions (you can call it the complete edition). Retail had similar edition including base game and season pass but that is hard to find. That said, if you buy the base game in retail and then the Season Pass on PSN store it might overall cost less.

  • I preordered the movie on the 15th. Still no voucher code on day 7 after order and now day two I can’t play the dlc.
This has been the only disappointing point so far. I have thoroughly enjoyed the game and can’t wait for the sequel. Suits have been cool, I’m not complaining cuz I think the insomniac version is the dopest. Lol more dlc’s would be sick aswell but I’m not greedy.
I just want to play this last dlc and waiting for this code is frustrating. I called Sony but they can’t do anything. Anyone gotten the code yet???

  • My voucher arrived in email this morning, so at least for me it was only one day behind, not 7-10.

Which is fine, honestly, I just wish they’d communicated about it. I hope other folks have theirs now, too.

  • This trailer is great example of why Darin De Paul who voiced J. Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man deserves to win the Best Performance award in PS Blog Game of the Year polls.
