What a month! November saw the launch of multiple megatons like Call of Duty: WWII, Star Wars Battlefront II, and Skyrim VR — all three of which performed enormously on the month’s PlayStation Store download charts. Horizon Zero Dawn saw a surge on the PS4 list, surely thanks to the launch of its long-anticipated The Frozen Wilds expansion (which also performed quite admirably).
As always, head over to PlayStation Store to pick up any of these hits you may have missed.

I wonder how Skyrim on PSVR did vs Skyrim on PS4
Congats to Horizon Zero Dawn for selling amazingly! It shows you we do care for quality exclusive games such has that. I hope it continues to sell all the way into 2018.
Something to learn from this.
a) folks are starting to see the value in VR (when it is utilized with great content). So please bring us a full Star Wars VR game.
b) Gamers are still interested in strong single player story driven epic games like Horizon. Not everything needs an online component. And certainly not everything needs in game purchases to make the developer money. We will pay for good content even after the game releases.
Unfortunately, there are only two or three single-player games on that PS4 list (Horizon, Uncharted Collection, and…7 Days to Die?). I wish it was more balanced – and maybe that’s because fewer single-player games are being made – but it’s not.
I’m one of those who doesn’t necessarily relish the multiplayer portion of games, so I dearly hope studios are looking at Horizon Zero Dawn and deciding to make more compelling games like it. I worry that they see on that list Call of Duty, Battlefront, and even Need for Speed and may decide they need an online component to drive sales.
Then again, maybe all the blowback against Battlefront will wake them up, and they’ll realize that treating their customers like walking wallets may not be the best long-term strategy.
Horizon is a hard game to judge on the same scale as a publish that only makes profits from unit/Doc sales, since Sony prefers their games to sell well of course, but its more important that the game that sells systems not individual units. Publishes that depend on individual units to see profitability are going to be looking at bethesda and Ubisoft to see if single player is viable. And sadly the failed mass effect will reflect upon this issue greater than horizons success.
You forgot
C.) As much as people whine and complain about them people love Lootboxs/MTs laced games. 1.) Call Of Duty WWII 2.) Starwars Battlefront 2, 4.) Need For Speed Payback.
Very glad to see VA-11 HALL-A in the Vita top 3. Fantastic game by venezuelan developers Sukeban with memorable music by GAROAD. Congratuations!
Doom vr? It came out on December 1st.
Didn’t Doom VFR (& Skyrim VR) have a pre-order option for a good while before release? That may factor in.
May also be possible that the official month doesn’t “end” until 3AM on the US east coast (or 2AM, 1AM, depending upon time-zone), and the game was available for d/l’ing @12AM in each time-zone.
Not sure, since I think the only time I ever pre-ordered & d/l’ed something right after being made available was Gravity Rush 2, last year. That was after I got back from work @2-3AM (EST).
wow, in the ps3 list never thought i’d see sonic but i think that’s bec. its a 3d game for $4 (:
