  • Agents of Mayhem is looking like a lot of fun

  • Night Trap… Really? When is Sewer Shark coming out?

  • I’m sad Sonic Mania got beat out by Matterfall for the spotlight. Either way, lots of good games next week!

  • Good Lord Sony. Matterfall, Tokyo 42, Sudden Strike, Van Hellsing 2, Cuties Skyline and Agents of Mayhem next week? I’m just sending you my wallet. Amazing week.

    • Why are you thanking Sony as if they funded and developed these games? All they did was charge these developers the publishing fees haha.

Either way, this week is definitely a great week.

  • So I guess Ps2 Classics is just a dead project. Sad to see so little effort put into a promising project.
    No Katamari
    Burnout Revenge
    Crash Bandicoot
    Simpsons hit and run
Like there’s so many great popular choices but yet every week goes by without one game being released.
Even if it was an obscure game, gamers just want to see Sony try and have a bigger team work on it so the ps2 selection is vast and giving players real choices.
Why make it to where you have to buy ps2 classics on PS4 but never release any games?
I have 250 unplayable ps2 games on PS3 digitally and at this rate we barely will see 10 games being put out a year.
What’s going on Sony? An update would be nice to explain this.

    • Not the best choice of examples, but yeah, the lack of PS2 Classics in the past year has been a joke. There’s tons of games they can and should release, after all there’s still over 100 PS2 Classics for PS3 that aren’t on PS4.

I personally would love to see the rest of the Star Wars games for one.

    • I personally love Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, and considering it could be paired with Castlevania Lament of Innocence it’s in all honesty a Ps2 treasure of mine.

Crash Bandicoot Wrath of Cortex I’ve always loved.

Spyro has zero love at all and I wasn’t that fond of the series *more into crash tbh*

Burnout Revenge is just a game I have enjoyed perfecting on Ps2 and even Xbox 360.

Katamari literally is a no brainier with it’s quirkiness and popular audience.

Simpsons hit and run was a fun gta style game kinda enjoyed playing it and most people have who’s played it *can’t go wrong with the Simpsons*

    • I’m just shocked to see potential weekly wasted and we get games like hot shot tennis, puzzle quest, a ton of unnecessary SNK fighting games, fantavision, kinetica.

Don’t get me wrong glad to see they are out out there but it’s like why not more popular games?

Or hell SMT games would be nice like persona or Choro Q.

Literally tons of games but every week Sony doesn’t take it’s audience Seriously *yet hypes up E3 with a shadow of collosus remaster and hypes up two ps1 remakes*

Why hype up remasters and then barely put any out when theres a cast catalog of ps2 games?

I can’t remember the last game even put out by sony and it’s August.

    • @NekoRave
The troll is strong with you.
There wont be another castlevania blam konamai not sony
      Burnout ask EA not Sony
Simpsons hit and run again ask the developer of the not sony.
Crash Bandicoot aready a remaster thats what u get and like hell its selling better then the original Ps2 games.

    • So what if it’s EA, Konami, etc I used those games as base examples.

Square Enix, Capcom, and From Software are already a part of the PS2 classics on PS4 yet you don’t see many games out because Sonys team that works on this is small and that falls on Sony. Quit being an apologist.

    • While that person was a little rude he is correct. Those are third party titles and as such are up to the publisher so you need to tell the publisher you want those particular games. And while a From Software game was released in NA that was because of the publisher. Square Enix and Capcom aren’t great examples since they’ve only released one with tons left they could release.

Naughty Dog’s 4 Jak & Daxter games will most likely be released when The Lost Legacy releases. As for Sony’s other games I have no idea. They have a couple rated like Ape Escape 3 but who knows when it will come out. They also have a few others left like the Syphon Filter games and the Ratchet & Clank and Jak & Daxter PSP spin-offs that were ported to PS2. But since they’re also doing games that got HD remasters it also means the four Ratchet & Clank PS2 games, Sly Cooper trilogy, God of War I & II and Killzone need to come eventually.

But again, your games are third-party so you need to tell the publisher. And while Konami are unlikely to make new games based on their past IPs they still release PS2 Classics.

    • Personally I’d like to see Haunting Ground, Resident Evil: Outbreak 1 and 2, Resident Evil: Dead Aim, every Silent Hill and Castlevania PS2 game, Rule of Rose, Kuon, The Suffering 1 and 2, Clock Tower 3, Obscure 1 and 2, Siren 2, Fatal Frame 1 through 3, Cold Fear, Extermination, Okami, The Thing, Alone in the Dark 4, Michigan: Report From Hell, Futurama, Evil Dead, etc.

In fact the only PS2 classics they released that I’ve actually bought are Siren and Resident Evil: Code Veronica. And I actually already had physical copies of both of them on PS2 – I just wanted a digital copy with trophies. There were so many great PS2 games that need a chance to live on – especially the ones that are too rare to purchase old PS2 copies of (like Haunting Ground, Kuon, and Rule of Rose).

Sony thinks PS2 classics on PS4 don’t make much money but that’s because of the selection they’ve offered. I’m a massive horror fan and I’d honestly shell out for any horror games that they brought back. Especially ones I never got a chance to play back then because I either didn’t know about them or didn’t have enough money. Now that I actually want to play them, some of those games are just way too expensive and rare to get the physical copies.

    • Simple, the PS2 games are not selling enough to profit from it.

    • @Droogie4Ever YES YES YES

You basically listed out my entire teenage years. All of those games were incredible!

  • All these new games that are coming out, that is a lot of trophies i plan on getting. i want to get as much trophies as possible to surpass everyone.

  • Undertale!

  • ANother great week coming

  • So many wallets are going to get merked next week.

Undertale is number uno for me. Sonic Mania..hoping that one has a platinum.

  • If I pre-order Undertale on PS4, is it cross-buy with Vita?

  • Yet again it is apparently an insurmountable request to ask that each game’s price be listed next to the title. I guess that is just too herculean of a task.

  • Looking Forward to a lot of content this week.

    -Paranormal Activity

    PS Video
    -Lion King

    PS Vue
    -Game of Thrones
    -Ray Donovan

    -Cities Skylines
    -Sudden Strike 4

Still curious when 4K HDR content is coming to PlayStation Video on PS4 Pro. Also, it would be really nice if we could get full access to all Spotify features on PS Music (Playlists, Podcasts, Sort by Artist, ect.)

    Keep up the great work!

  • Undertale, sonic mania, matterfall for me this week :)

And maybe tokyo 42, the game looks good.

  • Definitely sonic for me but looks like a lot of other great game’s too.

  • Holy crap, we’ve got a great week! Sonic Mania, Matterfall, Undertale, and Tokyo 42! I’m only getting Sonic Mania on Tuesday (since it’s pre-ordered), but now I’ve got a lot more games to save up for! I’m glad Tokyo 42 is finally cones out this week too! I’ve been waiting for quite some time to get my hands on it!
The cherry on top is remembering that Uncharted: The Lost Legacy comes out next week!

  • I hope we get the 20% off on Tokyo 42 all the other territories got for preordering the game because it wasn’t even an option in the Us/Canada store

  • But what about Gang Beats?

  • And the drought and the backloging is over. Though looks like the only game i’ll be getting is Agents of Mayhem because the rest seem to be digital only. No physical release No buy at full price if its good i’ll get them on sale down the road.

  • Are you kidding me. None of these are worth my time. Japanese RPGs please. Like dragons dogma online, some hardcore games not this whimpy stuff.

  • I will stick to ESO online, Ff12, Ff15 and hardcore games worth playing. Thia ia ridiculous gaming is going down the drain. Time to buy a PC.

  • @BrickcitychampAG
Funny you say its time to buy a PC. When half the games listed are old PC ports or also released on PC.

  • Sonic Mania, Undertale, Agents of Mayhem, and Tokyo 42! Yeah! Just getting Sonic Mania for now, though.

  • Looking forward to Night Trap. I had the game back in the mid 1990s on the 3DO and Sega CD!

  • Will get Matterfall(feel like Sony has done a pretty crappy job promoting this game). Tokyo 42, Undertale and Sonic Mania as well. Might buy Nighttrap for the lul. I remember that game being terrible but theirs something lovable about tho which kinda compels me to buy it anyway just to support limited run games. Overall, I think its an awesome week.

  • Excited for Sonic, Matterfall, and tomorrow’s content for Superbeat. Sonic is meant to be 2D with perhaps straightaway 3D levels. That’s why some of the titles were a bust.

Glad this is coming out tomorrow, and hopefully Sonic Forces will have similar elements with updated polish.

  • Did the Observer make it to the store? I don’t see it in the NA store.

  • Night trap was that for sega cd?

  • Picked up Defenders of Ekron. I love me a good shmup, and this one is a little different than your traditional top-down shmup wherein there’s more story progression, a mech/ship upgrading system, and lots of exploration. Definitely worth the price of admission!
