  • Deformers, Freedom Planet, and Toukiden 2? Yes please!

  • Despite its issues, I’ll be willing to give Mass Effect a shot. Didn’t know Freedom Planet was still coming to PS4

  • Going to be another awesome week for the PlayStation 4

  • Slow week for me, waiting for MLB The Show next week.

I really wish 4K HDR content would come to PlayStation Video. Would be great if we could download to the drive and have higher quality than UHD Blu-ray. Seems like it should be so simple now with the ability to add an 8TB HDD storage device. Plently of room for High Bit Rate 4kK HDR movies, and Games.

    • You know I was in the beta and this did not even cross my mind. It’s a great idea and I hope Sony takes it into consideration. I would rather have UHD digital movies rather then a cluster of disc.

  • Mass Effect Andromeda’s issues make me nervous…so waiting.

    • Me as well :( Huge Mass Effect fan but not going to ruin the experience playing a game that needs many patches. I waited 6 months to play The Witcher 3 and AC Unity and those games were amazing after all the patches. Really looking forward to MEA but may pick up another game if I can pull myself away from HZD!

    • I’ve been playing Mass Effect Andromeda since I have a EA Access, so it only cost me the $5 sub. I was really looking forward to this on the PS4 platform, but I encourage people to NOT pre-order and to wait a few month at least. Bioware/EA knew about the horrible animations months and months ago, but did nothing. Now they say that it might be addressed in a future patch, but not day one. Beyond the wonky animations, all the annoying, time-consuming mini-games and scanning that really soured the original trilogy are reincarnated in Andromeda. It’s not fun, it’s just a time-wasting mechanic. The writing so far (5 hours into game) isn’t as bad as some say, but it ain’t great. It’s not comparing apples to oranges to say that Horizon Zero Dawn is so much better than ME:A.

If anyone is on the fence about ME:A and hasn’t played Horizon, do yourself a favor. Play Horizon first. I think ME:A is the kind of the game that will get deep discounts fast because it’s just kinda a meh experience.

  • Are PS2 classics on PS4 still a thing?

    • They don’t care the VR has obviously overshadowed any project they had going, 1 game all year was released (generic SNK fighting game) and no updates or responses.

  • Berserk’s been out for a month now.

    • Must be a slow news day. XD

    • These are the digital ones? says the post

    • It just means it no longer has the “bonus” (free costume dlcs) with it anymore,
Most Koei-Tecmo games are released with a “bonus” in the first few weeks or first month now and than get relisted when the “bonus” stops being included.

  • Excuse me, what about Flatout 4?

  • I am so excited for Troll & I

Who the hell am I kidding? Nothing for me really. Meh week.

  • AHHHH, still need to beat Zero Horizon before mass effect and Zero Escape: The Nonary Games!!!

  • No Ps2 games again this week.

  • Trash digital only games and a game that wishes it was Mass Effect. Nothing for me then oh well more time for the back-log. Digital Only games = No Buy

    • Not every game here is trash….also I personally disagree with not buying a game just because it’s available only as a download. Which most games these days are.

  • Come on some of us want more ps2-ps4 games hurry up! No snk **** give us either rockstar thq bring ea in and Sega

  • Touhou, Nonary Games and Mass Effect (maybe). dang what a week.

  • wow Freedom Planet is coming to ps4? awesome.

  • $15 for Freedom Planet? Awesome!

  • I think it’s time to drop “The Drop” and come up with something better.

    • I think its time to drop the update blog whining and move on. R.I.P update blog the most worthless thing on the PlayStation blog.

    • To Fanboy,

Please try to be less obvious with your Sony “White knighting”. My comment had nothing to do with anything other that this current blog and wanting improvements. People like you give companies the excuse to be as mediocre as possible. Why put in any more effort than necessary when there are so many that will defend anything they do with blind loyalty.

  • Dear Sony,

Since the upcoming Spider-man game is exclusive to PS4, I’m assuming that Sony also owns the Spider-man game license then.

Could you please let SEGA borrow the license for just one game only?

It’s called “Spider-man:The Videogame” by SEGA that was released in 91. It would be a crime if this game never saw the light of day on a console.

Just ask SEGA to release the game exclusively on PS4, and it’s a win-win for both Sony and SEGA.

    Think about it Sony.

    Take advantage of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Spiderman the videogame ? Or you mean “Spiderman and Venon-Maximun Carnage” Wich is one of the best Game about súper héroes of all time..

  • “Nothing for me this week”? People, do yourself a favor and get Zero Escape: The Nonary Games. Those games have the best story I’ve ever known.

  • WHAAAAT!!!!!!!!! you are dropping TOUKIDEN2 like this!! how about some warning last week… with horizon, mass effect, and persona 5 in 2 weeks im out of time (and money)…. well i guess i will have to wait a couple of month, i loved the first one and i heard toukiden 2 is awsome

  • Was looking forward to Mass effect Andromeda for the longest time…..I’m definitely waiting for the complete edition, hoping EA fixes the little things that Need to be fixed.

Got a backlog of great games…some that I still have to Finish…others still in their shrink-wrap ( Last guardian, Nioh, Horizon, Hitman…) i’ll get to them… Eventually :

    My. 02

  • Shame on you Sony for not putting anything on the blog about the Toukiden 2 demo being on the PSN store! For anyone interested, download now; I think it’s pretty great!

  • ME Andromeda will be a disaster.

  • Without a doubt, I’ve been eagerly awaiting that game for many years. Toukiden 2 is going to be incredible fun.

  • Toukiden 2 and Zero Escape: The Nonary Games for me. Good week.

I’m one of the few people who was displeased with the way Bioware started dropping RPG elements between ME1 and ME2, so I avoided ME3 at launch as they continued that path. Then ME3’s ending was torn apart by people who played the game.
Now we have ME:A, which I didn’t even care about in the slightest. And it’s also getting torn apart for incredibly bad movement and facial animations. It’s just laughable at this point. Mass Effect went from being an interesting third-person shooter take on the Bioware RPG formula to less than even a B-tier, generic third-person shooter with some RPG tropes thrown in. What in the world happened here?

  • Touhou Genso Wanderer PS Vita for me. I wish there was a retail version, though.

  • Like i predicted: reviews are bad for ME: ANDROMEDA.

  • Zero Escape…. I am prepared to be haunted again….

  • Been waiting on the the Zero Escape: Nonary Games for quite some time. Vita has been getting some love this year.

  • Persona 5 digital Pre-order for ps3 PLEASE!!!

  • Bring the STORE UPDATE back to the blog!

This drop post is FUBAR compared to what we once had.

  • And still no Rainbow Skies. :(

  • Wow thats a long list of who cares

  • Where is 88 Heroes? The one game I want the most, and it just isn’t in the store… what happened?
