On this week’s Blogcast, Sid and I recount our favorite stories to come out of GDC ’17. We also ponder the finer points of the “clicker” genre, look forward to the sleeper hit-to-be Disc Jam, and share stories of our adventures in Guerrilla’s Horizon Zero Dawn. Finally, a thought-provoking listener letter kicks off a discussion about overhyping games and expectation management. Enjoy the show!

I’m just here to post before the one kid cries about the “core” fan base.
No need, Sid said they are looking into it already.
Anyways, I am loving Horizan, I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. I will listen on my Vita again this weekend, sitting next to me while I’m hunting in HZD.
Keep up the good work!
I’m actually thoroughly surprised by Guerilla Games as they have been making KillZone since Playstation 2. You can tell it’s a first time but not like most studios who stumble almost violently with it. I feel most companies that try to switch and 180 their genre don’t necessarily flop, They tend to get a backlash.
