PS Vue: HBO, Cinemax, New Ultra Plan Arrive Today

Are you a fan of Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, or Ballers? Starting today, HBO and Cinemax will be available on PlayStation Vue, so you’ll be able to catch up on all the original series and tune in live for the highly anticipated series premiere of Westworld — where western meets science fiction.

Additionally, we’re also excited to share that a new PlayStation Vue plan, Ultra, will be available to users starting today. Ultra includes HBO and Showtime, plus all the 100+ channels from Elite available for $64.99 or $74.99 per month depending on location.

Here are all the plans available on PlayStation Vue starting today. With a compatible TV-connected device and an internet connection, there are no additional fees, such as set-top box fees, or long-term contracts.

As we previously announced, you’ll also have the option to subscribe to HBO and Cinemax as standalone channels via PlayStation Vue. HBO and Cinemax are available for $15 each per month. We’re pleased to be the first internet-based pay-TV service to offer HBO and Cinemax’s live programming as standalone offerings without a bundle subscription.

If you subscribe to HBO through PlayStation Vue using any of the available options, you’ll get access to the live HBO feed through PlayStation Vue, as well as access to the HBO Now service on all supported devices at no extra charge. The HBO Now app is also launching today on PS4 and PS3.

Last month everyone was upgraded to the elite plan for free until November or decemeber.. Will the upgrade now be the ultra plan?

I’m currently an elite package subscriber in Dallas Texas.. my monthly subscription doesn’t auto draft until next week,how do I upgrade to ultra package this weekend before the premiere of west-world ?

Will Playstation Vue be able to support HBO and Showtime pay per view events? I’d like to switch but then there would be know way to watch boxing, MMA, and other PPV events on these channels.

Definitely like PlayStation Vue, I have the Elite plan, Everything is good except, Some shows ger cut off early near the end, and how come there are no live Cbs or Nbc, and Abc Channels, but they’re on demand, and Fox channel is Live, Definitely thank you for adding NFL NETWORK that’s a plus, Now if u could get them 3 channels live that would make it complete here in Tampa, Fl area. Even though i get abc, cbs, nbc live on my antenna, i rather have it on the Vue ! Thank You

  CBS doesn’t participate in Vue at this time. ABC, NBC and Fox are carried live on Vue in major markets (NYC, DFW, etc.), but smaller markets don’t offer them at the moment, although they do have those three on on-demand. I purchased an antenna myself and placed it in my attic. I got a cable splitter and sent the antenna to all my wall outlets except the one to my modem, which kept the cable input. Now all the TVs in my house get the locals stations (about 30 channels), most are HD quality, and my “cable” comes from Vue.

Will we ever be able to watch on more than one PS4 at a time? I have two at my house, with the one my son plays on set as my primary so he can play my games. Yet the same doesn’t apply to Vue. He would need to be logged into MY account to watch on the PS4 he uses, but only one PS4 can be logged on to my account at a time. Why can’t it be set so that the primary console can access Vue, no matter the signed in account, so long as they have the same IP just like tablets?

i will like to see more playstation plus integration and discounts made to playstation vue and to playstation store video offerings.
the prices on the videos are terrible. it would be great of see if we could get an Instant Movie Collection added to the plus offerings.

Man $20 for HBO and Showtime… and Im in Philly so Im already paying $55 a month, dont get me wrong I love the service but was hoping it would be a little cheaper

I know not many are clamoring for it but my wife would like Hallmark channel added. I agree that a lot of shows ‘end’ when watching vue before they are actually over (which is a big gripe from my 4 kids and wife, but my question is why is there no VUE app for a Sony smart TV?????? This is a no brainer. I can play ps now games with it with no ps system hooked up to my TV but I must add a ps3 ps4 or roku, etc when it is a smart TV with vudu and netflix and ps now apps but no app for VUE, why why why?

Still don’t see an official way to upgrade from one tier to ultra. I’ve downloaded the HBO now and HBO go app. I would like to get the ultra package for both ST and HBO.. any idea how to upgrade? The store doesnt give me an upgrade option

Finally figured out how to upgrade to ultra on PS Vue. Now I have another question, is HBO NOW restricted to my home network like ps vue mobile is or can I upload th app to my iPad and use it wherever i go.?

What you DON’T get, even as an option, is the use of HBO GO.

So this is actually no deal at all. Sorry, just isn’t.

It’s sad that HBO GO is available as part of the HBO Service with any other provider… at this rate ($15.00 a month each stand-alone)… or regardless if purchased in one of the Vue plans, HBO GO should be included… especially with the HBO GO App being available on the Playstation. HBO Now and HBO GO are two different services (as should be evident by the greater and immediate content on HBO GO.

I’m not sure about something. So I have a HBO Now sub but I’d like to have live programming. Can I cancel that sub and sub to Vue with HBO and still log in with my account to HBO Now? The thing is that the email that I’ve used for my Now account is the same as my PS account.

Stop adding channels and concentrate on fixing the PS VUE interface for Roku devices. If Sony can make the PS VUE interface for AFTV the same as the PS VUE interface for PS3/PS4 then Sony should be able to create the same PS VUE interface for the Roku.

Sling TV has a guide and it a last channel feature on the Roku. If PS VUE fixes the user interface, adds a guide, and adds a last channel feature Sony will have the best live TV app going. :-)
