Paragon Open Beta Starts Today, Play for Free

Hello again, PlayStation Nation. It’s a real privilege for us to be able to welcome you all to Paragon’s Open Beta starting today! That means everyone can play Paragon for free right now. Just download it from PlayStation Store and you’re good to go.

We have an awesome trailer to celebrate the occasion.

We are committed to improving and updating Paragon every week. If that sounds like a lot, here are the highlights for the things we’ve done since we entered Early Access in March.

  • We’ve released new Heroes every three weeks, including Sevarog, Iggy & Scorch, Khaimera, Riktor, GRIM.exe, Greystone, and The Fey. (We’re at 20 Heroes and counting.)
  • Instituted Draft Mode.
  • Added tons of awesome skins, including this savage Scarab Grux skin last week.
  • Added 43 new cards.
  • Integrated Twitch API rewards.
  • Many balance changes, UI updates, and we’ve even updated the menu music three times.

It’s times like these where it’s important to take a moment to thank everyone who has been with us from the beginning. To all of our Early Access players — thank you so much for your continued help in shaping Paragon. The game has come a long way since our original Online Tests earlier this year, and you’ve been with us every step of the way. Thanks for believing and helping us shape our vision.

And finally, to every player — past and present — thank you. It’s often that game developers thank their fans, but it’s important. What we do is literally impossible without all of your love and support, and we always want you to know that we’re grateful for all of you.

While we have come a long way to reach Open Beta (as we’ve listed above), we still have a long way to go. We will continue to improve, release new Heroes every three weeks, keep balancing, as well as adding awesome new things like card crafting and Banners. We look forward to having you on the journey with us.

But seriously, why are you still here? It’s time to start a fight.

Cameron Winston and Steve Superville

  • Pretty excited for the new influx of players! Been playing since the early Online tests and this game has become one of my favorites

To any of the veterans that have been around for awhile, try to help out the newer players!

  • this game is pure gold!! i would recommend to anyone who want to try something different to download and play paragon.

  • To be honest… This game nearly put me to sleep in a match. That shouldn’t happen.

    • This game put me to sleep also when I first started playing….but that was because I was up until 4am after playing all night.

  • So this game was never released? I feel dumb.

  • Been playing since day one, absolutely love the game and the responsiveness of the team. Any timeline on trophy support? I gotta get them trophies…!

  • How come when I try to download it it tells me “You are not eligible to purchase or download this content.” Is this US only? I’m in Canada

    • No, it works in Canada. I’m in Toronto, and I downloaded it a few hours ago without any issues. Sorry, man, I wish I could help.

  • Hopefully the community doesn’t become toxic like every other MOBA…

  • Been playing this game since i was able to pre-order the master pack. Man I enjoy this game alot. Although there are some bugs it’s ok I don’t mind them and I understand. Keep up the good work EPIC. Some people are toxic guys. I mean but come on go on CoD and you get some. Go on any game and you’ll meet that 1 person too

  • I am very new to the world of on-line battle arenas, but am really enjoying this game.

  • I bought the founders pack and that is when the addiction started. Since then I purchased the physical essentials edition, upgraded my founders pack to the masters pack, and have played almost 600 PvP games. I still can’t get enough.

Congrats on the release of the open beta EPIC! Looking forward to the future of this game with all the changes and additions that are sure to come.

Welcome to all the new players! there is definitely a learning curve with this game, but if you take the time to understand all the mechanics it can be a lot of fun. I would also suggest you play the game solo vs bots or coop vs bots until you grasp the basics before jumping into PvP. This is a team game and all teammates are affected by your actions during gameplay.

The biggest tip I can give to a new player is to always carry a ward card in every deck you use and always keep an eye on your map.

If any new players need help or have questions, add me or send a message.

  • Is this game ever gonna launch?
    Release date?

  • Can yall (Epic) fix the orb prime bug?? It cost matches and prolong matches.

  • Do i need to have PlayStation Plus to get it and is it on PlayStation4 or PlayStation3?

  • Bring back playstation home
