LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Phantom Limb DLC Out Today

By now many of you have probably explored the galaxy far, far away that is LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens (if you haven’t, then what are you waiting for?!). One of the lingering questions I’m sure you’ve had is… what’s the deal with C-3PO’s red arm?

Wait no longer. The Phantom Limb Level Pack let’s you experience these events, while collecting new characters and a cool vehicle along the way. This downloadable content is a free exclusive for PS4 and PS3 players!

The Phantom Limb level continues the Trouble Over Taul story — one of the New Adventure levels featured in LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens set in the time leading up to the film — after C-3PO’s ship crashlands on the barren planet of Taul, inhabited by hostile alien creatures who seem to crave the taste of droids. Never fear though — C-3PO is in good company with an oddball cast of survivors.

First up is PZ-99, a security droid whose prime directive is to protect all non-combat personnel. Teaming up with him is VL-44, another security droid, armed with an incinerator to destroy gold LEGO bricks and fend off the hostile creatures on the surface of Taul. There’s also CO-34, a construction droid able to do most of the heavy lifting for the group, MSE-Y, a repair droid, GNK-189, a power droid, and 2MED2, a medical droid. They’re all really fun to play as, each with their own charm and playstyle!

Additionally, we have O-MR1, a First Order droid who has been captured and taken prisoner by the C-3PO led group of Resistance droids. He’s featured briefly in the Trouble Over Taul level within the New Adventure level alongside Captain Phasma, but he plays a pivotal role here and is a really interesting counterpart to C-3PO. Plus, he’s voiced by Simon Pegg, of whom I’m a massive fan!

I hope you’re looking forward to playing through this exclusive level pack and finding out more about this interesting cast of characters. And as a reminder, the Droids Character Pack DLC is also currently available exclusively for PS4 and PS3 players so if you haven’t downloaded it yet, you should go grab that one, too. Enjoy!

  • You feel it too, don’t you?

  • Shame we will never get to play this DLC on PS Vita. Well at least the vanilla game itself is on Vita, this is something I guess.

    • I agree. I love my vita and was excited to have this game on it, but it’s a shame we aren’t getting updates for it, nor does it feel like they care about further supporting it.

  • Kept you waiting, huh?

  • this exclusive levels nonsense is super crappy to your fans who play on other systems. Why do you feel the need to give us a giant middle finger for where we choose to play? You guys can shove this crap

    • I agree with that. I have all but 6 trophies for this gane before this DLC came out. One of the Trophies that was on Vita but not PS4 was “Credit Check Collect 50,000,000 LEGO studs.” I had to contact the company and ask them why I was seeing that on my EGuide.

What they said, “Ooh, well thats not for the PS4”. I thought this was one lego game that was made with all the trophies/With in game content equal to all platforms.

    • Okay, but then why play on any specific platform? The only reason people choose between Sony or Microsoft is because of exclusive things like games and add-ons. If you just remove that barrier, why buy a console? There wouldn’t be a reason to, you could buy it on PC and use Sony’s controller and get the same experience with an HDMI from your tower to your TV.

    • @blakfayt

That would be a grear counter-argument if we were talking specifically about software exclusives, but what is the point of alienating players if the same game is on a variety of different platforms? No one in their right mind is going to go buy a PS4 to play this exclusive DLC when they should have every right to have the same experience on their choice of platform. Exclusive GAMES and not DLC should be the deciding mark between buying an Xbox or a PS4, not a few missions on a game here and there.

    • It’s just a limited time exclusive though isn’t it?
And that X-Box users will get it eventually – a point seemingly lost on some posters!

  • C3PO: R2, I’m already a Droid.

  • Why can’t I find the download for the add on? I’ve been checking all day and the only things available are the character packs that I have already downloaded.

  • Does this add any additional trophies? I like that LEGO Dimensions packs do, and this looks like a solid amount of content to justify a few more trophies.

  • Vita support. Come one. The little guy is supposed to be a companion for the PS4. And the PS3 is a last gen system but still getting updates.

  • OK then . Some one please tell me where this is to download. Got season pass but nothing there

  • it’s a nice level

  • I want rebels pack and clone wars pack
