Hey guys Among The Sleep has been out 6 or 7 months on PS4. Should be removed here. Also you left off Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2.
Other than that love the new format and I’m excited for Headlander and Hyper Light Drifter on PS4 this week. Been playing Riptide GP Renegade on PS4 as well and it’s pretty good so far.
I’m buying Hyper Light but i’m not pleased that it doesn’t have a preorder. This means it likely won’t have a discount and it means we can’t play at midnight tonight. We have to wait until the store updates, it should’ve been part of Play 2016.
Yeah, no pre-order sucks, especially since it’s been up for pre-order on the EU store for a week. I assume it’s not part of Play 2016 because it is not console exclusive to Sony.
Next PS2 games on PS4 that I want to see with trophy/platinum support:
I want Silent Hill 2, 3, 4, Origins and Shattered Memories, Fatal Frame 1 , 2 and 3, ObsCure 1 and 2, Haunting Ground, Rule of Rose, Clock Tower 3, etc…
I hope the Sony reads this PS2 wishlist thread for PS4 that has over more than 600 replies from many users, in which they say which PS2 games they want to see on PS4:
The killing joke!!! Yes!!! I had no idea this was out this week . I hope it gets tons of downloads as it is the batman movie that can be that gateway for a full live action version!
YES!! People absolutely should get The Killing Joke. But not from PlayStation. Buy it from one of the many more consumer friendly video stores online. PlayStation is far too restrictive with its movies and video store.
Actually from what I’m reading its not that good, apparently the writers had to pad it out to make it movie length and what they added isn’t that good. I won’t post spoilers tho.
I’ll stick to watching things and deciding from myself rather than blindly following the opinions of others. “Not that good to others” means nothing to me.
I will have info on the state of Wii U and Vita next month. Sorry, this was an incredibly intense amount of work just getting it on these two platforms for us these past three months.”
From Update #78:
“Vita – A more difficult platform, due to it’s limited processing power and memory. Much optimization must be done in order for our game to run smoothly for the entirety of the experience. Luckily, we have external support taking charge on this port so we aren’t ripping our own hair out. We’re getting closer, but again, this is a Fall release at the earliest considering the amount of effort being poured in on this port.”
Guess i’ll just wait for holidays to play it on Vita.
Play on PS4 with remote play or *gasp* on a big screen? Foolishness! I’m sure somewhere out there is a Shangri-La of Vita owners with a pocket full of physical games that only return home to recharge their Vitas.
@VanguardFate
You assume that everyone wants to sit on their couch to play their games and take up a TV? Please. Though it doesn’t fit everyone’s lifestyle, the benefits of a Vita for me are that I can play when I’m not home (which is about 15 hours a day), when and where I want. On the bus? Sure. Carpool to or from work? Absolutely. On break at work? You betcha. At the DMV while waiting for a license renewal? No problem.
Battery life? You obviously haven’t played a Vita. While the older ones get about 4-6 hours of battery life, enough of a single day while away from home, my Slim gets around 10-12 hours before I have to recharge. Source: I have a Slim and my son has an original. And yup, we Ad Hoc.
tl;dr If a game is out for both PS4 and Vita, I will always prefer the Vita as it suits my lifestyle better. Having played HLD on my laptop, it’s a great game and it’ll be even better when it fits in the palm of my hand and in my pocket instead of on my $400 machine that sits idly under my 55″ TV.
Lots of stuff coming out this week. What to even choose. Jeez. Great time to be a gamer.
Despite what all the hateful anti-budget title comments want to say. I remember when crappy games were like $50-70, and adjusted for inflation they were more expensive than a full $60 game with all the DLC.
Now you can get something 10x better for $15 or less.
I agree. I rarely buy any AAA titles for 60 dollars these days as they are often not worth near that asking price. I prefer the smaller indie niche titles which are usually much more interesting and more up my alley as an old school gamer at heart.
Hyper Light Drifter is something everyone needs to know about. That, and then Nioh beat comes out a month after! Thank you Ryan for making this making this post with HLD official! You gotta make another video with Greg and Colin at Kinda Funny again soon. I miss the Beyond days.
A big Meh from me this week. Besides the Marvel Ultimate Alliance bundle there is nothing i want this week. Oh well saving money for August 23rd between Deus Ex Mankind Divided and Madden NFL 17. August 23rd needs to hurry up and get here.
Although I already own Marvel Ultimate Aliiance 1 and 2 (the PS2 version of the first one and the PS3 version of the second one with all the DLC before they got delisted), it’s nice to see them getting remastered on the PS4 despite Activision no longer having the Marvel license in their hands. Hopefully this would mean that we’ll be getting Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 (probably based on the Infinity Gauntlet story arc in the comic books).
@Sehulir I don’t get it what is your problem with there being too many games? I thought you like how Sony is giving out games that will make some people happy. Me, I’m interested in the Marvel Ultimate Alliance bundle (even though, like I said in comment #22, I already have the 1st one on the PS2 and 2nd one on the PS3 (with all the DLC before they got delisted) so I reserve my judgement on whether or not I should get the bundle or not.
First of all, it’s mostly a joke. I’m amazed by how many games there are, there’s too much to play. It’s kind of crazy. But I don’t have a ‘problem’ with it. I’m just shocked that last year there were like 10 games total over the year that were interesting… while this year there’re like 2-3 a week.
But more realistically… as an adult, when this many games come out at once, it puts a strain on the wallet that can often mean you can’t support all of the companies that you’d like to. If three games I want to buy all come out at once, and my budget only allows me to buy one, I feel bad because the other companies deserve my support as well but I just can’t buy them all.
I love the Riptide GP games, but I really wish they would stop using smart phone assets for the graphics and sounds.
A game that plays like this and takes advantage of the PS4 hardware could be amazing!
Instead the water looks very fake, we get blurry low res textures, and the same 3 music tracks loop over and over.
Definitely interested in picking up Hyper Light Drifter, Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force, the new Shiren the Wanderer game, and Mutant Mudds Super Challenge when I have enough money. :D
Im a bit lost here but didnt Amoung the sleep already come out on ps4 on december 10 of 2015. why is it coming out aging ??. im lost here. anyone else with me. I know it came out that day becuase i bought it when it cam to ps4.
Nothing for me but for anyone interested in Fairy Fencer Advent Dark Force i hope you don’t mind the most annoying trophy ever called “where in the money” for $999,999,999,999 i had every trophy except that one, took me almost a months worth of farming even with all additional dlc. That’s assuming they have that trophy on Advent Dark Force, i also got platinum on Fairy Fencer F but Sony never updated the servers with new releases so couldn’t sync the trophies. You can still Google “Fairy Fencer F can’t sync trophies it’s a topic on the NIS website. Im sure as rare as that is Sony won’t let that happen with Advent Dark Force. Im not purchasing Advent Dark Force because as far as im aware it doesn’t include all additional dlc that i already purchased. Good luck to anyone that goes for Advent Dark Force platinum trophy.
Why is Marvel UA $40. And 2 is $40 as well. They are PS2 classics. If this is what you are going to start charging for ‘classics’.. Then I will not be buying anymore. This is insane. Even if you “skinned” it and added trophies, it’s still not worth $40.
Maybe because it’s not Sony charging $40 each, but rather Activision. The same company that charged $50 for Angry Birds on consoles. And $50 for a multiplayer-only version of CodBlops3 on last-gen.
And these AREN’T PS2 Classics, from the sound of it. They actually put some effort into “remastering” the games. Why not wait for some reviews before judging whether or not they’re worth it?

Yeah I’m wondering why marvel isn’t on here. Wanted some more info hopefully.
I would buy Ultimate Alliance 2 if it wasn’t $40. Outrageous price.
Please join my “Riptide GP Renegade Racing Club” community on PS4. Already has over 150+ members. Thanks alot
