Kill Strain Out Today for PS Plus Members

Loading Personal Brief… Welcome Merc! Let’s get you all caught up.

Since the Strain’s appearance, Chromacode has helped lead the way to new and exciting technologies and advancements in human genetics. As a preferred vendor of freelance security services, we’d like to extend an offer to work with other highly respected security personnel in one of our harvesting locations. As you know, there is always an element of danger from working in these areas, including the presence of contaminated assets, but Chromacode has the utmost confidence that you will help deal with this mission in an efficient, discreet manner.

This mission will take you to our secure facility in the Arctic. The attached reference should show you the locations in the facility that need to be secured. We need you to complete the following tasks:

  • Secure the miner and repair its harvester
  • Once the payload has been loaded into the ARCC canisters, deliver them to the processing station (also known as the drop-off) and secure this location
  • Deliver as many canisters to the station as you can

Prior to processing, these ARCC canisters can be volatile when exposed to the Strain. The energy created when they come in contact can be explosive. While Chromacode does not officially condone the use of ARCC canisters as IEDs, we understand that there can be… collateral damage.

Remember that we are in direct competition for this precious resource – you will no doubt encounter resistance from other mercenaries under the employ of different companies. It is your job to maintain the security of the drop-off location while harvesting.

During this mission, It is also likely that you will encounter contaminated individuals at the arctic location. Do not come into physical contact with them and do not allow them to drag you (or any other contracted Chromacode Personnel) into the Strain. We do not know the full impact that this has on human tissue when exposed at this level. In the event that you are in any way compromised, Chromacode will disavow any knowledge of your presence or involvement in the recovery process.

In the course of recovering our resources, you are allowed to engage the competition and any contaminated individuals that present a risk. We trust that you will use your best judgement in engaging the enemy.

As usual, you will be compensated at the completion of Chromacode tasks, and bonuses will be paid to those who complete secondary objectives. These will be transferred digitally to your account. As part of your compensation package, you have been given access to our mastery and augment store, accessible in your WISP interface. You can use these great products to enhance your effectiveness in the field!

  • Wow… last thing I recall hearing about Kill Strain was that Sony trademarked the name. Until now, nothing since then. Looks decent enough, though. I’ll definitely keep an eye out.

  • I enjoy the game since playing in the Alpha and seeing the improvements.. The one thing I hate is the time limit. Boy, do games last long in this. I’ve quit MANY games just because I either didn’t fill like finishing or I had to go(sometimes my first match of the day).
Also, a lot of characters just don’t seem to be balanced or they take a ton more practice to make even a little bit even.. Some other little things, but hopefully more improvements will come out shortly. This game has a lot of competition, I would love for it to succeed.

  • In addition to the PS Plus games Furi, Saints Row re-elected, we also have got Paragon, Hawken & now Kill strain free. That’s 5 free PS4 games enjoy.

  • So Kill Strain is a MOBA, huh?

  • where is kill switchhhhh

  • Downloaded this game when I received an alert on ma PS4 but didn’t had time to try it out…out today for Plus members means free for Plus members?…I’m not sure I’ll have the time to try it and I probably won’t but I’ll try to take the time to play it just to see how it is.

  • Wow, the most saddest “Playstation Store” Sale i ever seen since spring break…unless you indie luvin hipster or millennials.

“Mid-Year Sale” was pretty good for legacy console (how Bumgie refer them) and especially PSP/PS Vita owners so yeah, thanks.

  • Please buff the mutants, either directly or by nerfing the mercs and specifically the mechs. There’s no punishment for mercs, they can safely take out the strain from a distance. They should have to stand in it slightly, thus take damage, to shoot them out. Or be forced to go get a canister to instaclear the low-tier pods. Mechs can just bum rush through strain to the mutant base and wreck shop, and mutants don’t have the right tools to handle mechs.

They should do bonus damage in the strain to all enemies so they can take out mechs faster in strain. And mechs shouldn’t be able to dash in strain at all. Even more reason to need to clear the strain before they start their assault on the mutant base. Something needs to be done, it’s way too easy to bully the mutants as the mercs.

And better explain the conditions for when you get the ability to actually turn someone into a mutant. I still don’t understand the requirements.
