  • So wait, are we still going to be able to preorder a regular $399.99 PSVR? I already have a PS Camera, and even two Move controllers, so I’d hate to have a second pair of each.

    • Me, and i think a lot of other player, are in the same position… when is possible to pre-oreder only the VR and the game without all the other stuff?

    • C’mon, Sony! I want the core system as I already bought the camera and move controllers years ago. Seems like a big step back for VR fans.

    • Agreed. I am very upset that an unbundled VR pre-order isn’t available. For people that do not have the camera and Move controllers (and that is probably most people), this is a great all-in-one option. However, by choosing not make an unbundled option available, Sony penalizes customers who previously committed to its other peripherals. Why not offer both as pre-order options? Sony made a choice at the expense of people like us. That’s disappointing.

    • Yes. You will be able to buy the PSVR alone. It’s just a bundle announcement.

    • Sony really dropped the ball on us.

Seriously, they have to let us pre-order the core PS VR bundle. There’s no way we’re going to find these in stores over here standalone.

    • Yeah, charging us an extra $150 to preorder is an absolutely terrible move to the people you admit are your biggest supporters. I have the camera, 3 move controllers, 2 navcons and 2 sharpshooters. Come on Sony, do the right thing

    • EVERYONE! Relax! There will be a PSVR Core ($399) pre-order later. Its obvious. just be patient. They want to have expectations for sales for this bundle first as manufacturing these are more difficult. Be patient and I am sure we will hear about the Core pre-orders in the coming weeks.

    • Go to this page:

Now follow it to the bottom and find the following: PlayStation VR Headset $399 MSRP Pre-Orders coming soon

    • They answer your exact question at the end of the post.

“The core PS VR bundle, which has a suggested retail price of $399.99 USD / $549.99 CAD, is not available for pre-order.”

Yes, it’s obviously coming as well, it just isn’t available for preorder at the time.

    • Looks like we’ll be able to order either the Core Bundle (just the PS VR) or the Launch Bundle (which includes the camera, Move controllers and game).

    • No, says the core vr system is not available for pre order

    • Good grief, people. Dial it down a notch. Of course we will be able to pre-order the standalone VR system. Why would anyone would assume otherwise is beyond me. PS VR doesn’t launch for 5 months and the release date was just announced. Give retailers a little time to get set up.

    • Yep – add me to this list of disappointed early adopters. I got the two sets of move controllers (+PS Eye) during the PS3 days, and that went nowhere. Then I got the PS4 camera at launch, at that’s sitting around doing nothing. Now to reward us for having faith from the get-go, we are told that the core PS VR is not available for pre-order.

@ PanTheMan16 – “Why would anyone would assume otherwise is beyond me.” Maybe because being able to read is beyond you too, “The core PS VR bundle, which has a suggested retail price of $399.99 USD / $549.99 CAD, is not available for pre-order.”

    • If you look at the pre-order page that was linked, $399 for just the headset, no camera or controllers included.

    • M1NAT3K – Not sure why you’re so hostile, but the core set absolutely will be made available in due time. As I said, the announcement is still fresh and there are reasons that everything isn’t available yet. And by your reasoning, we should expect that the summer wave will be the last opportunity to pre-order PS VR.

For one, offering this bundle first is ideal because not everyone may be aware that the camera and Move controllers are required. This ensures that the people pre-ordering this bundle will have everything they need, and it truly is a fantastic deal for those who don’t have the required accessories yet.
And the other important thing Sony is doing is gauging interest before they go all out. This is a brand new system and they have to get an idea of how strong sales will be.

You know, the reason Vita tanked isn’t because Sony stopped supporting it. Sony stopped supporting it because it didn’t sell well, despite the excellent support they gave it early on.

    • I have a camera and two move controllers already way to screw over your most loyal customers!! Why is there no preorder of the core package?

    • Did you read the whole post? “The core PS VR bundle (as in just the PSVR itself), which has a suggested retail price of $399.99 USD / $549.99 CAD, is not available for pre-order.”

    • Damn, I thought I was the only sucker who had all the useless peripherals already.
I went from “damn, no pre-order” to “damn, pre-order but I don’t need to pay the extra 100”.

Hopefully they’ll make the core VR available for pre-order. And not interested in the PS Worlds disc, Will get it used when it drops to 10 bucks or less on amazon around 2017.

    • 399.99 will still be available, but this is for those that don’t have the camera/controllers.

This is really good, since it shows that those move controllers you do have will be used for some titles at least.

    • I have the core PSVR pre-ordered. Though going to upgrade when/if the bundle hits Norway. Not sure why you guys can’t pre-order it, since it’s pretty much up to each retailer. They could just offer pre-orders for it, and send it when it got into their stock. So yeah, not sure what’s up with the US/wherever you guys are.

    • Simple, it’s to create an install base and have numbers of how many people will buy the bundle with move.
That way, they know if they should make games for PS move.
Altough, I already own PS Move and a lot of other people does too, so how do you calculate that?

    • Read the whole article, people. It says the core preorder date has not been determined yet, which means, I’m assuming, that there will be one announced in the future. No need to get all up in arms.

    • I already have a camera for my ps4, ps gold headphones, and wands. I just want the vr equipment. What’s the price?

    • For people thinking the core system won’t be available for sale, just click the first link in this post:

You guys JUST saw this post, too. smh

  • PSVR is just going to be another Eyetoy, PS3 Eye, 3D, Move, Wonderbook, PS4 Camera, PS Mobile, Vita, etc. to Sony and be abandoned within 18 months.

    • I totally agree. People don’t even want to wear glasses for 3D gaming why on earth would you think people are going to put this thing on to play a games. Waste of time, money and resources that could be making quality AAA games.

    • Uh, no? The EyeToy had some fantastic games. I still use my PS3 Eye to this very day for video chat. Saying Move and the PS4 Camera is “abandoned” is a total contradiction to this very topic: PSVR uses these two technologies, and are flying off store shelves if you haven’t been paying attention to sales trends as of late. The Vita has over 200 games currently in development and its quite a successful “remote play” device for PS4. Speaking as an average gamer, and not some “PS Fanboy”, I will say you’re either just very misinformed or just a negative person in general… or both.

    • It’s understandable if you don’t belive, and this article sums it up perfectly:

    • I disagree. VR is definitely a “thing” now, and PS VR has a large number of developers on board. Given that Amazon UK sold out within 10 minutes, it seems the demand is high. If the experience is immersive AND the head tracking and controllers are responsive (looking at you, last gen Move controllers!), then this has the potential to really take off and get huge adoption.

Don’t forget that Oculus (Facebook) and HTC + Valve are backing VR with significant dollars. They’re not doing this for giggles. They believe there’s money to be made…a lot of it.

    • @Roaming_Ryu If Move wasn’t abandoned, what came out for it between mid-2012 (18ish months after launch) to present? Right, nothing worth remembering. Four years of nothing is abandonment. The fact that Sony is taking a dead peripheral and attaching it to potentially another dead peripheral doesn’t mean they actually supported Move. All that means is that they’ve got a bunch of unsold ones they want to unload. I’ve seen those “articles” about cameras and Moves selling 600% more than what they were before PSVR’s price and release window came in. My response to that is: what were they selling before? How many people were realistically buying a PlayStation Move in 2016? Likely a very small amount, so a huge percentage increase could mean 150 people bought a Move that day.

As for Vita, Sony has said multiple times they have 0 games in development for it. That is an abandoned platform. Every firmware update only exists to remove features Sony is too lazy and cheap to maintain. Again, that’s an abandoned platform. Remote Play isn’t a replacement for actual games running on the hardware, and in Sony’s continued pursuit to ditch Vita, it isn’t even an exclusive feature anymore. It’s on Android phones and now PCs.

    • Vita TV sold out on Amazon Japan within minutes in 2013. Now it’s discontinued. That is such a microscopic data point as to be irrelevant.

    • Perhaps Vita has been abandoned by Sony, but lots of third party companies are still developing/publishing games for it, in fact I’m wating for Trillion: God of Destruction, Senran Kagura Estival Versus (just released a few days ago), Stranger of Sword City, Neptunia vs Zombies.

Also has a blast with Corpse Party, played it at the end of last year and beginning of this, and it became one of my favorite games ever…

    • It depends entirely on software support.

Just like how the 3DS, despite being an absolute piece of garbage from a hardware perspective, continues to sell like hot-cakes…

Software is the key. If there are a good array of solid titles, the VR will sell. Guaranteed. If not, it’s going to be a huge failure… just like the vita sadly :(

    • no offence, but when Virtual Reality was making quite a scene this year. Sony cannot abandoned PS VR! especially at a good price.

also, more than 200+ developers/publishers are working VR games for PS VR along with Oculus and HTC Vive.

    • 18 minutes? No… In average it’s 2-3 years.

But here’s the thing about PS VR that is different from PS Move, they aren’t the only ones making a VR headsets.
Meaning developers making games for PS VR will make money off of multiple platform making it a viable investment to makes games for.
It’s not like kinetic and Microsoft spending money to have devs to make games for the device. This is different, these devs are passionate about making VR experiences and games. It’s gonna last longer even if Sony’s First Party studios don’t make them.
They can still make a VR game compatible with your HD TV.
Either way, it’s too much for me right now. I got other things to pay, one of them is an Sony 3D/4k HDR TV.
I will get it later, I already have the Sharp Shooter gun, 4 move controllers and other hand guns.

By the way Sony, you need to make Vita games, it’s your job. Nintendo still makes games for the Wii U even if it a “failure”.
It’s not good for your perception.

  • Well that’s unfortunate, I was really hoping for the core bundle for pre-order.

    • Likewise.

    • What is the core bundle? You mean just the PSVR? Then it’s not just a bundle. It went for sale and in less than 5 minutes the “stock”* was already sold out. Just need to wait to put the pre-orders.

*probably, a secure limit to not promise delivering what they can’t produce in said time

    • Well that’s unfortunate, I was really hoping for the core bundle for pre-order.

@Ficiado from the post above “The core PS VR bundle, which has a suggested retail price of $399.99 USD / $549.99 CAD, is not available for pre-order.”

Yes it’s not a bundle like the launch bundle but they call it as such anyway.

    • But, I already managed to pre-order a core bundle with just the essentials, here in Australia. It was sold out the next morning but It was definitely available.

    • @lamanuwa The core bundle has not been available for pre-order in North America and from this post doesn’t look like it will be.

  • So will the core into (-the camera and move) ever be up for pre order? If not that’s a deal breaker.

  • So the core is not open for pre order what a stab in the gut to those who own a move and camera already. Who thought this was a good idea?

  • Great to hear preorders are starting, but why is the core bundle being excluded? I bought the camera on launch day, and invested in move controllers long ago as well. How can I be assured I’ll have PlayStation VR day one? Will preorders for the core bundle be coming later?

  • Why no pre-orders for the $399 version? Many of your day-one adopters are hardcore fans that already have PS Camera and Move. This is a really questionable decision, why not just offer two SKUs for preorder?

    • Exactly! That’s really a jerk move for their early adopter fanbase. I’ve had move since day 1. The cam I got as soon as it was back in stock after getting my PS4.

I’m really hoping Sony wakes up and realize this mistake.

    • I was gonna say this as soon as I got the tweet. I’ve been a day-one adopter of every system and peripheral since the PS2. I don’t want to buy another camera or two more move controllers. Announcements like this make it seem Sony’s forgotten about us hardcore fans.

    • It’s probably a matter of hardware availability. Once they’ve gauged the estimated amount of ‘launch bundle’ pre-orders, they’ll determine whether they have enough stock at launch to do pre-orders for the ‘core bundle’. As of right now, they’re being optimistic and assuming they are going to get a ton of launch bundle pre-orders.

  • Oh come on Sony! You make us wait and now I can only pre-order the bundle? Granted I was getting the move controllers separately but now if I want to pre-order on Tuesday I’m gong to be stuck with a second PlayStation camera? Even Shuhei Yoshida acknowledged most PS4 owners already have the camera. Why would you do this to your loyal base?

  • Do these move controllers differ from the ones I already own? Will the core bundle be available on launch day?

    • It’s the answer I’m looking for. If they are the same with just, you won’t need to buy new ones, since the old work just fine with PS4, but, you will need to check your batteries. Maybe you have to change them. It’s $10~$15 for the batteries of each move controller.

  • Of course, I expected the Canadian price to be higher, but an additional $200 for the pre-order pack? Come on. The difference in price for a PS4 is only $50!

    • it’s getting ridiculous now, can’t wait to see when our dollar goes back up if the price of games will go back down to 59.99
getting really tired of paying so much for games. I was going to look at buying this, but this makes it impossible.

    • It’s ridiculous. Right now, with the bad exchange rate, the actual price is just under 650$. Making us pay an extra 50$ is ridiculous. You can also be sure that when the exchange rate gets better, it will take a while for games to adjust their prices.

    • It sucks but unfortunately the exchange calls for it now. 1USD=0.75CAD. If anything we need to blame the low price of oil and Canada’s over-reliance on exporting it (not to get too political lol:))

  • Hey John, what about people like me who already have the camera and Move controllers? Don’t leave us hanging! Thanks.

    • Sadly they didn’t leave you hanging, they straight up told us this bundle is the only thing you can pre-order! :(

  • HI! I cant wait! When is it actually gonna come out? I’ve been hearing its gonna come out in october. Is it true? How much is the pre-order gonna be in the UK?

    • What about the $399.00 headset only that was actually talked about?! What about all the people who just purchased Move controllers and PS Cameras in anticipation of release? Or the large amount of people out there who own either the camera and or controllers? This has not been handled well Sony.

  • I don’t own the cam or controllers anymore so this is perfect for me. Thanks, Sony! You guys should offer the core package though and avoid the s*** storm.

    • Yeah I don’t ps camera or there wii version controllers either because I though it was pointless at the beginning so definitely glad there making a bundle like this! But I still think they should have the regular psvr headset available to on Tuesday! Not just one selection but two options for the gamers to chose from!

  • Way to rip off Canada. Canadian gamers are already hurting from the sudden increase in game and hardware prices oveer the last 2-3 years (games went from 60 to 80 and our incomes didn’t go up). The bundle should be 650 according to exchange rate. Adding $50 on top for no good reason except to gouge customers, and no non bundle option either. It’s like you want this product to fail in Canada..

    • Mostly only bad games have been bumped up that high like Bloodborne… a lot of really good games are coming across that aren’t terribly overpriced thankfully, like Cold Steel.

But ya, it’s really stupid the way American devs(and a few of the bigger Japanese ones) are taking advantage of this to rip us off.

    • @ Seluhir – This made me laugh…bad games like Bloodborne and “really good games” like Cold Steel…uh-hu.

    • Exactly. Bad games like bloodborne. Really good games like Cold Steel.

Well, I guess unless you have masochistic tendencies, then you may think BB is a good game. Clearly a large portion of our society has them, but just didn’t realize it… not that surprising all things considered.

    • ^BB is a flawlessly designed game. If you screw up, it’s you. All you. It’s not unfair, it’s just challenging in that you have to pay attention. I say this as someone who is bad at the game. Saying it’s a bad game is hilarious. Stop lying.

  • Why did you say you were offering the core for $400 and then not offer it for pre-order? That’s pretty terrible to fans who have been purchasing your hardware as it’s been released (moves, camera, etc.)

    This is awful, hype-deflating news.

  • Why is this $699 in Canada when $499 US is only $647?

    • Because the value of the Canadian dollar can still fluctuate up or down in the future.

    • @Sealum01 The Canadian dollar isn’t going to drop far enough for that difference to make sense.

    • By that (correct)logic the CAD dollar could improve and they could also charge less? The US actually saves money with the bundle, Canadians lose money.

    • I’ve accepted a long time ago that this won’t ever make sense.

We’re always paying more, no matter what the strength of the dollar is. Even if the Canadian dollar gets stronger or is on par with the US dollar it doesn’t change anything.

I understand we can’t have always fluctuating prices and why they set a 10$ more for physical/AAA games. The dollar is usually weaker.

It’s just VERY frustrating because when things get more expensive(like this) the price is usually much more expensive, waaaay more than it should be.

At least we’re not paying 15% taxes on digital games and they’re always mostly the same price(Unless it’s a big studio game, then it’s 10 to 15$ more).

    • Sony is a profit turning company. They are likely pricing safely based on a dollar whose exchange value is unstable.

Still, this is easily one of the cheapest VR solution around for Canadians, trailing 2016 mid-quality mobile VR by $100 dollars (the unsubsidized Galaxy S7 cost is $900 + $100 GearVR). The price is very cheap for high-quality VR if you already own a PS4 (which millions do). Put it in perspective, the Oculus Rift (not including “Touch” hand controllers) costs $915CAD and still requires a hefty gaming-PC (which few people likely have).

So if you are a Canadian, and want high-quality head-tracked VR at the lowest price, PSVR is it.

    • Google “canadian exchange rate” and notice that the exchange rate for the dollar has been dropping for some time.

Ok, I’m done. I hope you all have a good day.

    • If you do Google it, the graph shows a constant decrease through 2015, bottoming out early 16. Currently it’s on an upward trend and is directly tied to the oil price, which has also bottomed out and beginning to rise.

Adding $50 doesn’t have any explanation other than gauging the consumer under the veil of financial insecurity. They’re not going to reduce the price if of the CAD picks up. Canadians will save next to nothing, if anything on this bundle, depending on how you value the mini games.

    • I’m hoping they are just hedging themselves in case rates get worse and will adjust price at release if they don’t. But that could be just wishful thinking. Under promise over deliver??

  • What the heck? So the ones who’ve actually supported Sony most by already having the camera and Move controllers are the ones who get shafted by not being able to preorder? Well, at least I have my Oculus Rift then. I’ll wait for a price drop on the PSVR if I don’t get to preorder the Core bundle.

  • most early adapters, already have the camera and Move controllers. Why would you not make the core system available for pre-order? My excitement just changed to a big pass.

  • Super disappointed with this announcement, I own the other peripherals and only want the core headset that was announced at GDC, feeling betrayed

  • AWESOME! This is fantastic news, and I cannot wait to get my Canadian bundle! I love that it includes VR Worlds, and all of the equipment needed to get up and running, which is perfect for me since I do not own the PS Camera or Move controllers.

I was looking forward to VR Worlds as well! It seems like a fantastic “show piece” for demonstrating VR, and I’m sure will get my imagination spinning!

    All eyes forward to October!

    • I cant wait for the London Hiest!

    • Me too! I’m also interested to play the The Deep, and I’m really curious about Scavenger’s Odyssey! Hopefully each mini-game offers a decent length. I’m a sucker for replaying things that were exciting, so even if the adventures are short (but good) I can see myself enjoying them many times!

Plus, I can’t wait to see my significant other’s reaction to VR for the first time, and also that of my friends!

  • I got all excited only to realize that this is only for the bundle, and the core version will not have a preorder.. So i’ve now got to hope and pray I can secure the core version on launch day… This isn’t smart. How can you not allow preorders for both right now? The deeply invested core Playstation fans already have the other peripherals and only need the VR visor.

It should be the other way around Sony!!! You should be catering to the core, not those just now getting on board.

I appreciate the bundle info, but this is not the preorder version I and a lot of gamers I know were hoping for. :(

  • You have all of these hardcore fans who have bought these peripherals already. Why not offer the core bundle for $400 for pre-order? It seems like an extremely poor decision, an opinion that is seemingly shared by most people in this comment section so far. Are we at least going to be able to get the core $400 bundle here in North America on launch day? Having to call store to store on release day to see if there is a core bundle in stock available seems like a craptastic way to purchase this product, but if that’s the only way I’m going to be able to get the $400 core bundle, then I would at least like to know if that’s an option.

  • I am disappointed that those who will be buying the core version, who have already purchased move controllers and the camera years beforehand will not have PlayStation VR Worlds bundled.

    • I have to agree with you, those that are getting the bundle are getting a better deal than us who aren’t. I’m guessing we would have to pay $460 to get the Core PS VR Bundle plus PS VR Worlds which is ridiculous. For an extra $40 dollars we would also get new duplicates of the peripherals we already own, so the standalone isn’t even worth it in North America.

  • This pricing seems very fair. $399 for the headset is great and under $500 for the entire bundle is a good discount, but please:

Let us pre-order the standalone headset.

I already own the camera and two moves. I just want to buy the VR headset.

  • I might have been swayed to preorder just the VR headset but I already own a camera and move controllers! I’m not going to buy duplicates of stuff I already own! I’m sorry to say this but this is a real scumbag move by you guys. Terribly disappointed :(

  • This is unfair! What about us loyal fans who already have the camera and move controllers?! This was a day one buy for me but if I’m going to be forced to buy another camera and controllers to be a day one owner, I’ll just wait.

    • I’m with you Hereck182. I already have the move controllers and the camera. why would I want to spend an extra $150 buying them again? I was excited and getting ready to preorder but this forces me to hold off. Great move Sony.

  • Sony, what are you doing?

After laying a golden egg, you now want to kill the bird?

Meh, I can see wanting to milk the hype, but please support those customers that also previously invested in your peripherals that no one else supported. If no pre-order, then the core product better be available on day 1.

    • the core will likely still be out day 1, we’ll just have to wait in line overnight like a bunch of dummies if we hope to actually ge tone

  • This seems like a pretty good deal given the current cost of the camera and move controllers. I already have a camera but I was wanting to get a second anyway so that I can move this between my two PS4s so this is perfect. Any word on which retailers? Hopefully Amazon?

  • This is exciting that pre-orders are starting already. But I am still waiting to see if the PS3 move controllers are compatible with the PSVR. Has there been official confirmation on this yet?

  • Sony offer the $399 core. Also please let us know more about the Launch games.

  • Let me get this straight. Because I purchased the camera and move controllers at an earlier date, I’m being punished and not allowed to pre-order the core bundle? Something is terribly wrong here and is a slap in the face to early adopters of your tech.

  • Get that Standalone PSVR Pre-Order ASAP! I’ve been all in with PS since PS1 so I have expectations Sony. Camera and Moves are ready and waiting. As you can see.. I am not alone here.

  • I normally wouldn’t speak up about this sort of stuff, but I’ve gotta say this seems like a slap in the face to the fans who have supported PS products the most…..ya know, the ones with the camera and a couple of old Move controllers lying around. If the core bundle is not available for pre order then I won’t be getting one like I thought.

  • I’m an early adopter. I already have the stuff bundled in, I just want the VR Headset. Why on earth would you not release both or at least, the core unit first? This seems a silly, silly move to make.

    • It’s more than just a silly mistake – this basically pushes the price closer to Oculus for the people who are most likely to jump ship: early adopters of new tech.

  • Great job “Mr. Vice President, PlayStation Brand Marketing, SCEA” at trying your best to kill the brand for your hardcore fans who already have the camera and move controllers. If you don’t want VR to succeed this is a great start.

  • I just bought the camera!!! now I have to return it :( Sony you should have 2 for perorder. The bundle and the core. Accommodate everyone. Not very smart guys.

  • Absolutely ridiculous that those of us who have a Camera and Move can’t pre-order the base package after it was announced with that price point. I was a strong proponent of PSVR but am seriously giving Oculus a second look at this price.

  • Dear Sony:
I’ve never commented on one of these blog posts but this seems important. I’d rather not own TWO cameras and FOUR move controllers. Please allow us to pre-order the standalone headset like the rest of the world.
    Thank you!

    • Hey my friend,

Obviously you need a PS4 console VR bundle. Then, you’ll have 2 PS4s, 2 cameras and 4 move controllers and you can make use of the additional camera and move controllers on the new console!! Kappa

      Yours sincerely

    • Forgive me! I did not see the additional information about the standalone headset. Maybe you could add that into the blog post?

  • I’d also like to say that I was hoping for a PSVR core bundle as I already have the PS4 camera and move controllers. It is disappointing after the announcement of the $399 price that Europe was able to pre-order the core unit but NA isn’t allowed to. Please consider making the $399 core unit available for pre-order prior to the October release.

  • I am confused by this announcement. Are there no Core PSVR preorders simply on Tuesday, or no Core PSVR preorders planned at all prior to October? I have the camera and Move controllers. Is this bundle the only option to be a day one adopter?

  • I agree with practically every other commenter on here. The fact that the core PSVR set isn’t available for preorder is insane.

  • I own a PS4 with the camera and all I need is the move and the PSVR but seems I won’t be getting the bundle cause its a bundle trap! Disappointing and it does not benefit us who already are a step ahead so make us gamers the consumer be at ease to be able to get what we want cause its our money and you want it, so listen to us and make this happen with several option so we all can have fun owning a PSVR. Cause I will wait until I see you change it up for us your loyal PS gamers that just want it without bundles and several different bundles as well to pick from. Don’t start making mistakes cause you want to capitalize on ever dollar and trap us with a bogus bundle. Give us what we want and understand we don’t need to spend more money on add ons we don’t nee or already own. We are not dumb nor naive so please understand us and do us right so we all can enjoy gaming with new experiences together. OLDSKOOL gamer I am! Game On

  • I’ve owned the camera since launch. I’m not interested in owning two.

    Please create alternative pre-order packages.

  • We were promised a 399 Core bundle without the other accessories for people who already own them. It’s not fair to not have preorders for that bundle when your most loyal customers probably already have a camera and move controllers.

  • Yep, I’m with most here, extremely disappointed.

I was extremely excited but am not willing to pay 150 CAD for things I already own and a mini game compilation. Hopefully there’ll be some core units available and I’ll get lucky but I’m not going to break my balls hunting them down at local retailers when in all likelihood, if they even have any, the preorders will be gone by the time I check.

  • $700 ? LOL

Being overpriced is the same reason people stopped buying Sony TVs , phones, etc. And why most of the Sony stores closed down in Canada. But hey, it’s your business

  • i am beyond insulted with these canadian prices. this is going to fail up north ;(

  • Why announce a U$399,00 option at GDC and make that option available for pre order at Europe and not at NA? A lot of people bought cameras and moves beforehand because of the GDC announcement!!
I already have the camera (day 1) and moves (from the PS3 era) and now I’ll need to choose between buying them again or getting in shop lines and risking not being able to get it at all…. Not cool sony, not cool.

  • So, the question remains: Can we use the old Move wands from the PS3 era, or will there be a hardware revision to the Move controllers?

  • all of you need to read up you dafties,

you can still order the base 399€ unit just not now all pre orders have been SOLD OUT i pre ordered it in my local game mania(Belgium)

both will be available be smart, don’t just post without doing at least a bit of research…..
    the internet these days

    • You’re on the US blog. The only bundle available for pre-order at all here is the Launch Bundle. The Core Bundle has not been on pre-order at all in the US.
