We’re heading down to SXSW, and we’re bringing some good ol’ fashioned PlayStation fun! From March 16th to 18th we’re taking over Bar 96 on Rainey St, transforming it into the PlayStation House.
Planning to be in Austin? Stop by to catch amazing performances from artists like The Chainsmokers, Transviolet, Jack Garratt, BJ the Chicago Kid, Yo Gotti, and many more live on the PlayStation Music Stage.
Note: SXSW badge required.
Don’t forget to grab a glass of Sweet Candy — the limited edition craft brewed by Austin’s own Hop & Grain — while watching college ball in the PlayStation Vue Hoops Bar. Oh, and the games! What would the PlayStation House be without a few games? Get there early for your chance to upgrade to VIP and experience PlayStation VR.
Can’t make it to Austin? Don’t worry, we got you! Watch artist interviews and performances, and catch a first look at an upcoming EPIX Original Comedy Special, Noted Expert: Michael Ian Black, as well as a sneak peek at the new season of Archer on FX – both premiering on PlayStation Vue in the coming months.
Visit Live.PlayStation.Com or download the Live Events Viewer app on your console to join us. Streaming March 17th to 18th from 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM CT.
Thanks Kristin, YOU ROCK!
And here I thought this was a post about Andrew House changing his name. ;)
I’d love to try PSVR but you know where I can’t go? SXSW.
You know where I can go? San Diego Comic-Con. Please show up there this year. It sucks that only Microsoft and Nintendo show up there now. PlayStation represent!
“Get there early for your chance to upgrade to VIP and experience PlayStation VR”
Im going on Thursday, but how likely will it be that I can actually try VR?
I’ll be in Austin during SXSW but I will not purchase a SXSW Badge. Is there a chance that I will still be able to show up to this event?
Yes. This event is being held at a bar away from the convention center. No badges or access passes required. You should also know the SXSW Gaming Expo at the convention center and the SXSW Gaming awards at the Hilton hotel Saturday night (March 19th) are open to the public as well. No badges required.
