    Vagrant Story the best game of all time! 2nd place SIlent Hill and Final Fantasy IX

    Very Tough choice, but i had to go with Akuji the Heartless and Gex Deep Cover Gecko, i didnt see them on the list, those games was first on my PSX they are so specific. It’s hard to choose only 2 titles, because i have ten or more best games for me around the time, they are still epic !! Greetings PS Fans !! ;)

    So hard to make a choice but glad we can vote for two titles. I loved Alien Trilogy it had awesome graphics and music for the time. Spiderman was another game that surprised me as it was really good. Metal Gear Solid is my favorite videogame on PS1 and introduced me to the franchise. So many choices so this is gonna take time.

      It kinda got a sequel, if you consider the FF Tactics Advance games. Of course, Nintendo stole the franchise away from Sony and made it more kid friendly. I would love a true sequel.
      But I like how they turned the FF Tactics setting into the world for FF12 and it’s spinoff game. That setting was too good to let it die off from a one-and-done game.

      I see, and you’re absolutely right. I played through all of them, and they just didn’t scratch that itch like the original Tactics did.
      But I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for Squeenix to make a proper sequel, they don’t have the best record of listening to what their customers and fans actually want. Oh well…

    Syphon Filter was #1 for me. How I wish they would make a new one for the PS4 or Vita. The game I played the most though was NCAA GAMEBREAKER. Loved 989 Sports back in the day.

      I agree. But the PSP sure had a ton of great ones too.
      And the PS2 did have a ton of epic RPGs, before they got too expensive to make en masse like the newer consoles.

    I totally forgot about Tenchu. That game was brutal with its gore and fighting mechanic. And time crisis was amazing. I remember seeing it in stores and thinking ” wow. I want that!”

    I have been a massive psx fan all my life but I got to say all the games I have played like crash bandicoot, the Abe series and final fantasy and many more but I must say the best game I have ever played has got to be the last of us on ps4

    I had to put down Tomb Raider and SOTN. Tomb Raider because that game really shown off what graphics could do. What that game was doing was very innovative compared to what was offered at the time. Also SOTN because there is no explaining need! Almost all the games are great choices.

    Oh man, what a list. So many memories! I appreciate you guys finding a bunch of lesser known goodies for this, even though they don’t have a chance of winning (Alundra, King’s Field, G-Darius, I.Q…)!

    I went with the original Resident Evil. While it wasn’t the first Playstation game I played, the photo-realistic graphics (to my 14-year old mind) just blew me away. I remember thinking ‘THIS is next gen!’ As cheesy as that is, if there’s a game every generation that really astounds you, it was that game for me.

    My boy KLONOA is there! But the list is just straight up 90s nostalgia. Crash Bandicoot 1-Team Racing, Spyro, Ape Escape, Aw man. So many memories.

    Would be cool if Sony did something awesome besides just announce the winners. Maybe put them on sale/give them away for free?!

    Wouldn’t help me since I already have MGS1 & Crash 3, but would still be a nice thank you to PS Nation.

    It wasn’t easy but I ended up voting for Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil 2. Those are two of my favorite games of all time.

    Well it was very hard for me to since ive played almost every single game on this roster lol but castlvania symphony of nights, and final fantasy 7 is what i had to go with allthough mgs series tekkan series valkrie profile , tenchu , breath of fire series , parasite eve (wich i dont think is on the roster) megaman series, streetfighter and xenogears wow its a shame to me to only pick 2 lol.
    Tuff choice playstation i love em all ………playstation forever sincerely brainmesh1280

    Really tough, as I still enjoy quite a few PS1 titles. But I just haven’t played anything as often as I’ve played ‘Metal Gear Solid’ and ‘Dragon Warrior VII.’

    Legend of Dragoon

    We got a FFVII remake coming. SONY now you need to do a remake of The Legend of Dragoon!

    People loved this game and you never made a sequel. Do a remake and announce that its happening at PSX :D :P

    Kinda surprised by how easy this was tbh.

    Had never played or seen anything remotely like MGS. I bought PES at the time as the successor to ISS Pro…then spent forever playing that MGS demo that came with it, ended up incredibly excited for MGS proper. So unfortunate that the series lost its way so badly.

    FFVII was the game which hooked me from a pure story perspective, although I loved the mechanics and characters as well. I was truly invested in Cloud’s journey, and my then-girlfriend, now wife, stayed up for hours just to see the next story beat. It was so worth it.

    for me it has to be tomb raider as that was at the time something id never seen before in terms of graphics and gameplay puzzles. The last of us remastered is amazing…… the story is mindblowingly good. Those are my faves.
