And to top it off, available exclusively for PS4 and PS3 is the Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition: Star Wars Saga Starter Pack ($114.99). This includes both the Star Wars Twilight of the Republic Play Set with Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker character figures and the Star Wars Rise Against the Empire Play Set with Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia character figures one month before they are available on any other platform. This exclusive bundle also comes with Boba Fett figure who won’t be available as a standalone figure until after the holidays! Fans who purchase the bundle will also be the only ones with the Star Wars Rise Against the Empire Play Set until late September when it becomes widely available at retail.

If you are an existing fan of Disney Infinity, you are probably wondering if you have to buy a new Starter Pack and need another base. The answer is “no” guys — you can use your existing PS3/PS4 base and digitally purchase Disney Infinity 3.0’s Toy Box mode to get started for an introductory price of just $19.99 from PlayStation Store, then purchase other figures and Play Sets a-la-carte at retail.

Don’t forget that all of the Star Wars figures are playable in all of the Star Wars Play Sets and in the updated and improved Toy Box mode. Since we’ve brought together all the major brands from across The Walt Disney Company, players can now mix and match some of their favorite characters and play with them together.

  • Infinity 2.0 on Vita got me into this series. Hope you guys plan on bringing 3.0 to the Vita in the near future. I will pick this up on PS4 for now, and start getting my collection prepped for the time being.

    • I’m curious, how much quality did they sacrifice to bring this game to Vita. I know they must have downgraded the graphics but what else was changed or removed?

    • As a big fan of the 2.0 Vita release (and the series in general), I’m anxiously awaiting 3.0 to be announced for the Vita as well. It seems to be the only way I get to play 2.0 these days. As soon as I fire it up on a console, my kids want to take it over. So bring it on JV! Let’s hear an announcement! And if you’re looking for an exclusive figure for the Vita version this time around, how about a Classic Trilogy Obi-Wan? :)

  • Bought the saga bundle yesterday and I’m absolutely loving it. The care and time they put into this is incredibly obvious, and the entire team deserves a good pat on back. If anyone enjoyed 2.0, they will be shocked by how much better 3.0 feels. The only complaint I have thus far is that Green Goblin still can’t fly. Any chance this could get patched in JV before Marvel Battlegrounds comes out?

    • He can fly, just equip his glider and he flies without issue. They patched that in 2.0 shortly after he released.

    • @ExtremeGamer I guess technically everyone can fly, but I meant without having to equip his glider. The way it currently is, he can only fly in the toybox. Based on my understanding, they originally intended on allowing him to use the glider without equipping it, but they made a mistake and left it out.

  • It looks fun but not quite sure I totally understand how Infinity works.

I’m so psyched for this game. This’ll be my first jump into DI. My copy’s coming in tomorrow. Gotta get my hands on those Tron guys and Aladdin too. I’m legit more excited for 2 NEW STAR WARS GAMES than I am for Metal Gear. It’s crazy.

  • Got the Saga bundle and it’s an absolute blast. The one caveat is that original characters don’t feel nearly as satisfying when compared to the new gameplay, but I still greatly prefer the method of updating them instead of remaking them (Looking at you, Skylanders…).

Kind of disappointed to see that I’ll have to get Wreck-it Ralph and Baymax online, though. Almost no store seems to have those figures now.

May pick up the Vita release just to show support, as I’d love a 3.0 Vita version.

  • Can’t wait to get the new version since I’ve been addicted to 2.0 on the Vita. Not going to get it right away, but I will buy it probably with that Darth Vader PS4 bundle coming in November.

  • How much just for 3.0 itself? Without the extra doodads? For someone who hasn’t bought 1.0 nor 2.0 yet? The answer to this question seems to be very elusive, for some unknown reason.

    • 3,0 starter pack is about $65. I picked up the Star Wars bundle $114, this was my first time in playing Disney Infinity love playing it. This game may make me collect all the 3.0 figures because Mickey will then have his Kingdom Heart keyblade weapon, did not know about this until I was playing the game on 8/31. Also just past D23 Expo 8/17 they gave out Mickey’s power disc that changes into his “King Mickey” Kingdom Hearts costume, wish I was there, Star Wars made me to buy it, now with Kingdom Heart with Mickey is making me wish for more KH related toybox theme in the making?

  • I really want to jump into the DI3.0 wagon! I’ve question though.. Do I need to have the base in order to play the digital version? I understand you need figures and discs but can I just play it without it? Or I need to have a base ready, connected when starting the game? Thanks!
