  • Enjoy the show, everyone!

    • Thanks for your continued podcasts! I crave them…

I am extremely excited for Project Morpheus. I have a few questions:
Does Project Morpheus games create a sense of “presence” while playing?
Do the move controllers track extremely well (ie. 1:1)?
Is the headset very stably held in place when worn?

E3 2015: The week Vita forgot.

  • Thanks for all the great coverage last week guys! Glad to see the group back with an extra long blogcast!

  • Ask Some VITA Fans how They feel after Sony Kill The Ps Vita and ignore the Voices Comming from the Players…
Hope one day Sony make Happy the Own Fans (Like MS Do) Because SONY You need to understand That is not always about money…

  • Here are some post-E3 request

    1. 2 step verification for PSN. You get hack a lot.
    2. Recovery/secondary email and phone number.
    3. Pin code for PSN login and purchase.
    4. Plug and play for external HDD on PS3.
    5. Individually PS3 games backup to an external HDD. I keep having to backup my entire HDD when I download a new game to my PS3.
    6. Free up the 10% PS3 OS. 105GB of my 1TB PS3 HDD is reserved. That is unnecessary. You have a 12GB PS3. Please only reserve like 5GB.
    7. PS Now should allow me to access previously purchased PS3 digitally games at no additional cost.
    8. Link Ultraviolet to PS Video. You are a supporter of Ultraviolet and already allow linking with Sony Pictures.
    9. Make PS Now like iTunes and PS Video not like Netflix or Redbox.

I have over 95 digital games installed on my PS3. Eventually, my PS3 will break and PSN on the PS3 will be shut off. It is times to start making policies for post-PS3 and to protect those who embrace a digital only medium.

  • Holy Doritos Pope Batman! Almost 2 hours! How much of that is Sid though? lol.

    About to listen :)

  • In terms of novels, I’d strongly recommend John Scalzi’s Old Man’s War series. It’s five books in thus far (OMW, The Ghost Brigades, The Last Colony, Zoe’s Tale, and The Human Division), with the sixth (The End of All Things) due out in August.

Without going too much into spoiler territory, the setting has Earth kept isolated from space by the Colonial Union, which acts as the “public” face of humanity’s efforts to expand into a very crowded galaxy. New recruits to the Colonial Defence Forces are only accepted from Earth once they turn 75, at which point their minds are transferred into purpose-made bodies for them to fight in. (Hence the “old man’s war” concept.)

I would be very careful about reading the synopses of the latter books ahead of time, however.

Supposedly, Paramount (and/or SyFy) have the rights to do live-action works based on OMW; though it seems to be up in the air as to whether it’ll end up as a movie, a miniseries, or a regular TV series.

Actually, the OMW universe would make for a great game setting… so long as it was done for Vita as well as PS4, of course.

  • Where was the talk about No Man’s Sky? Seriously – ‘Best Of E3’ and nothing at all about No Man’s Sky? This is a game that Sony claims it is pushing as a triple AAA title, and no mention at all? The thing has won more awards than god, and it isn’t even out yet.

    That seems quite the oversight.

    • The No Man’s Sky crew got stuck in traffic and missed the interview. Hopefully, there is a follow up interview via the Playstation Blog crew.

  • Are you guys going to keep pretending that Vita doesn’t exist? I have a PS4 and PS3, and love those but can’t believe how you treat your other child (Vita). You are supposed to love all your children equally.

  • blog cast doesn’t work on this web site. WHY?

  • Sid – pretty sure that game you mentioned is The Long Dark. It went early access last fall on PC. I’ve heard very good things about it.

Great show guys! I’m new to Ratchet & Clank, but enjoyed the interview. Sounds like it’ll be a fun game. :)

  • That Shaun McCabe has a voice like melted butter I tell ya what. Also the most philosophical sounding individual I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. Like, I’d like to discuss the universe with him.

  • Excellent jam-packed episode guys! This E3 was incredible! I saw the press conference at my local theater and lost my mind once I saw that single cherry blossom pedal begin to fall down the black screen. I immediately knew what it was. I yelled OH MY GOD. Everyone in the theater began to laugh. Then they realized what it was. Shenmue 3 was finally announced. I had dreamed of this moment for years and always thought I would burst in to tears. I was so in shock I couldn’t even move. Then a few days later I was announced as one of the Road to Greatness contest winners. I was in shock once again. I want to thank everyone over at Playstation for crafting such a memorable E3 not only for myself, but for millions of Playstation gamers across the world!

  • Just wanted that the reason the Neptunia games are coming out so quickly, I think, is because they want to be up-to-date with the Japanese release schedule, which it will be from now on.

Also, Clements is right – 6 Neptunia games on Vita. 3 off them are remakes of the older PS3 games, the other 3 are spinoffs.

  • Hey I think its great
