The Telltale Games Collection is a good deal but I have already bought 3 of the 5 games from your recent sale. Can you put the other 2 games (Wolf among us, Game of Thorne, both PS4) on sale as well? It’s odd that you have PS3 version of Wolf Among Us on sale individually but not the PS4 version.
PS4 Dead or Alive 5 Last Round (39.99 price) includeS Honoka Debut Costumes?
Good sale this week. I didn’t buy Danganronpa 2 when it was on sale during the holidays because I hadn’t played the first yet (that was when you put 2 on sale and not 1…), and didn’t expect it to go back on sale anytime soon. Wasn’t going to pick it up, but since you guys put it back on sale, I did. See what happens when you have good sales? You sell games!
Now if Disgaea 3 Vita could be on sale… ever… or hell, just put it back on PS+, I won’t mind! (While you’re at it, put Frozen Synapse Vita on PS+, since you didn’t include the Vita version when you gave it for PS3–that was a pretty lame move.)
For the people that saw UNIEL on sale, how much was it? I was gonna get it on Amazon but if it comes out on sale I’ll go with the digital version.
Hello, I had to pay $34.99 instead of $24.99 (I have PSPlus) for Shadows of Mordor PS4 is this because I live in Canada?
Hello. Please advise. I really got excited about seeing Shadow of Mordor (PS4) for only $24.99, but when I went into the PSN Store, it shows $34.99. Was the PSN Store post today an error? And if so, please fix this because if this game is actually $34.99, I think I’ll still pass, as well as other people if they think it’s one price, but the store says otherwise. Thank you.
Hey Sony,
You’ve really gotta make short lo-res video preview files OR AT LEAST a couple pictures MANDATORY for all dynamic themes. It’s absolutely ludicrous to think someone would risk spending $3-4 on a dynamic theme when they have NO IDEA what they’re purchasing looks like. I remember PS3 had this, not sure why PS4 does not…
Thank you
I wanted to buy few games but the PSN store on the PS3 just keep freezing up the system requiring a lengthy file system check/restore which ties up the system for 45 minutes. It’s just not worth risking messing up the system to buy these games unfortunately.
Please fix this.
Also, YOUTUBE on the PS3 needs to be fixed. The INTEL INSIDE commercial ALWAYS locks up the PS3 system when it plays. I’ve tried contacting someone at Google for two weeks now, but no one seems to care.
At least I’m not the only one SpooNManX. The PS3 store is horrible now. It only takes me a few minutes to get back up, not 45 minutes though. But half the time I go on the store I have a freeze or crash. That’s unacceptable. Sony needs to go back two versions and give us that version back. This is a recent problem.
Bought episode 2 of game of thrones season 4 today, only to find out the download is mislabeled.
Episode 2 is in actuality episode freaking 10!!! Hello spoilers! Not to mention after double checking to make sure
we didnt download and buy the wrong one (we didnt) episode 4 isn’t even listed on the page!
What the #$%^ man. Major screw up on your behalf. Please fix this ASAP.
@ SpooNManX and BrianC6234: You should be using the webstore at store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com , not the system store. Even on PS4, the store is too slow and clunky. You’re obviously on either a mobile device or a PC to post here, just use that same device to buy stuff from PSN. You can even queue up your purchases to download to your system automatically… why people still try to use the PS Store on PS3 when the app has sucked since they changed it from the old design still baffles me. Get with the times and just use a browser.
@31
It said when I checked out for the preorder (1886) that all dlc and the theme will be available upon the games launch. Hope this helps.
Being a fan of classic games I was psyched to play Q*Bert Rebooted.
After buying and playing I have to say I am thoroughly disappointed with it.
The SNES version of Q*Bert 3 was much, MUCH better than this drivel. The controls are terrible. I realize that Q*Bert isn’t the easiest game to create smooth controls for (the original arcade version had its joystick installed at a 90° angle), but the SNES, PS1, and DC games figured it out. The graphics are extremely basic even for a reboot based on an 80’s game and the sounds are barely existent, and what is there is super annoying.
Even the emulation of the original is mangled. I’ll stick with the Sony version with came out on PSN a few years ago, sadly it’s been removed from the store to make way for this.
For anyone who’s wandering about The Telltale Games Collection, it has EVERYTHING, including Game of Thrones season pass AND Tales from the Borderlands season pass. You’re welcome.
BTW, PS store, your store description sucks big balls.
Cho Aniki Zero is PSP and Vita, not PS3 as listed here. Also, it’s not listed in the PS3’s store if you go to “Games -> Discounts -> On Sale Now -> All Deals”, and neither are any of the Record of Agarest War games.
(Also, unrelated to the sales, if you search the PS3 store for “Flying Hamster”, the PS3/PSP version doesn’t show up, only the Vita version. And, as usual, the PS3 store is sluggish and constantly crashes.)
Thanks for the tip AizawaYuuichi. I guess I’ll do that now. I never had trouble in the past with the store on my PS3 though and now it freezes and crashes a lot. I don’t see why they’d put out updates of the store that are so bad.
OMG!! LOVING these Sales! Totally buying a PS Card tomorrow for Child of Light!! Thank you so much!!
Games I’m watching for on sale in the future if I don’t buy em before then! : Bayoneta, Shadow of the Colossus, Castlevania Lament of Innocence, Chrono Cross.
and hoping to see on the PSN store someday: .Hack/ Infection, Mutation, Outbreak and Quarantine! ♡
Thanks again, totally keeping an eye on the store till I’m sure it’s done for a bit ^^
Hii, regarding the 15$ cridet does The Witcher 3 included in this promotion?
Thanks
Any chance we get a sale on the Whistleblower DLC? Outlast bundle is marked down to $7 (great deal!), but hoping to see Whistleblower itself on sale for those who already have Outlast.
Yay…more fighting game discounts–i’ll probably get Persona 4 Ultimate this week (Not ultimax ‘cus i’m kinda broke haha)
i was actually not familiar with it until i saw it on here.
And had i known Battle Fantasia would’ve been on sale i might’ve skipped buying League Bowling so that i could afford both, but oh well :P
So with Arcana heart 3/aquapazza & kofxiii this past week, that only leaves me with blazblue left to complete my humble arcade fighting game collection.
What a great couple of weeks. (* ‘w’*)
PS: Is it possible to keep playing Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate once i already applied the free patch to Last Round?
Maybe if i redownload it and cancel the update?
Because it’s the version that got ported to the arcades so i kind of wanted to stick to it and the new characters and stages don’t really interest me that much.
Oh-oh, and skullgirls encore!Forgot about that one, but that is very reasonable priced enough that i wouldn’t need to wait it out for a discount to buy it.
This will be great (* ‘w’*) thanks again for throwing fighting game fans on a budget a bone!I now have a full fledged fighting game collection and all in a little more than a week x’D
Hi, just a small question, is this store update only for the US?
I was trying to find Dead or Alive 5 Last round; Core fighters but was unable to do so in The Netherlands.
Hello,
123
I believe it is only for the US version of the store, because the last “flash sale” had numerous complaints from EU/LatAm regions not getting the same sale, which lead me to believe this is the case, and also by checking other region’s ps stores online.
Like the hong kong and japanese stores already having Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax, but this being an upcoming US store release only recently, content and offers seems to vary a lot.
And HK store having delisted games like sega rally online arcade and TMNT Turtles in time re-shelled and so on.
I look forward to Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax on that note although i can not usually afford games on release day in my current situation–with what i saved from the past sales, it may be justified, just gotta hold on on a few sales and use whatever money i’d have used on 3-5 discount games on that one game (Then again, if the sales keep being as interesting to me as these past weeks, that may be easier said than done lol)
It should be noted that The Wolf Among Us is only on sale for PS3. It is marked that it is on sale for PS4 users on the chart above and should be corrected.
I thought DOA5: core fighters had free online play? I’ve played for 2 hours thinking it will unlock.
Sooooo why is The Wolf Among Us full price on the store? And here I was all excited to buy it at a great price -_-
Guys, is COD:AW digital pro (73.99$) worth the price or should I just wait for another sale or should i just buy cod:aw and season pass separately? Also which among two games “Shadow of Mordor (24.99$)” and “Far cry 4 (35.99$)” should I pick?
The last shooter game that I have player is counterstrike and I am just buying it for my sister. I hope you can help me. Thank you in advance!
So… You can’t even purchase Wolf Among Us for vita at all? Regardless of the sale? Can’t seem to find it in the store… Or is it cross buy with PS3? Someone help me out on this…
the wolf amoung us season pass is listed under the “PS4” and its for the PS3, was hyped for a while :(
@ SpooNManX
Q*Bert handles just fine for me.
Part of the challenge of the original game was timing your movements just right to repeatedly hit the desired angle. I think the developers did a good job re-creating that experience.
I’m enjoying it. Worth the $7.
Good sale.
When will Project CARS be available for pre-order? Given how big a game this will be for PS4 racing fans I’m surprised how long it’s taking to see this game to appear on the “coming soon” list.
Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Season Pass sale, please.
Amazing! The one time I need to get a digital copy of P4 Golden, it’s not on sale. It’s usually on sale like every month too. Been looking to replace my physical copy that I lost.
Sigh.
The sales this week for PS4 are AWESOME!! I want Shadow of Morador and Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, and the entire Tell Tale Games collection from $109 down to $44 is a steal!! Thanks for the great sale this week, I’ve been picking up games on the refular for cheap from the PS Store. Now back to gaming.
@+ PrimeroIncognito :
Let me know those controls are working out for you when you get to the later levels.
Most reviews agree that the controls are not in the least bit accurate.
I’ve been playing Q*bert for the last 30+ years and think Rebooted is a poor excuse for a Q*bert game, especially one that calls itself a “Reboot”. It adds nothing to the mix, controls poorly, and somehow makes one of the coolest, colorful gaming mascots in history look bland and drab.
Q*bert Rebooted seems like a free iOS game which is trying to pass as a $10 console game.
It’s clear the developers made it based around mouse controls. The only favorable reviews mention using that control scheme because that’s the onky way to know where you are jumping to.
Sony should put their version from 2008 back up. It was far and away a better version. Even the Colecovision port from 1982 was superior to this.
@ SpooNManX
Later levels in which game? The classic version, or Rebooted?
If you’re talking about the new game, well, I’m currently at Level 28 and it has been mostly a cakewalk so far. In fact, that’s my only knock on the game. It actually may be too easy.
I only dipped into the classic for a few minutes and it played as I remembered it. Only got to 2-2 after a few runs, but, all of my deaths in both versions have come from my own mistakes.
I owned Q*Bert on the NES 25 years ago and I remember how precise you had to be with timing your jumps. Even the slightest miscue meant you would jump the wrong way, possibly to your death. And that’s how it was supposed to be. Rebooted is the same.
You’re supposed to adapt to the game’s controls and play it as it was designed to be played. All of us veteran gamers know that. Only the nu-kids whine about crap like this. C’mon man…
I was speaking of both versions.
I didn’t play very far into the Rebooted version because it’s not worth my time.
Q*bert is a classic and while it deserved the Pac-Man Championship treatment it only received a smart-phone like redesign.
I am very familiar with the original game. I’ve been playing it in the arcade for 30+ years now.
NuKid? Not sure what you mean, but it sounds like a really goofy term.
If you were fine with the NES game you clearly don’t realize when a bad game is being put out there.
It’s one of the worst ports Konami/Ultra has ever released.
The graphics aren’t terrible, but they aren’t good either. By far the worst part of that port is the control. It’s nothing like the arcade version. If you want a good port play the Colecovision port from ’83 or the PSN version by Sony, which, sadly, is no longer available unless you already bought it.
I have no problem adapting to controls as long as they make sense. Otherwise you are just confirming to a butchered game.
The NES version by Ultra Games (AKA Konami) is among one of the worst ports. Mainly because of the control scheme. I.E. If you are facing right and you want to move Q*bert to the left you need to first press left to get him to turn around on the current cube, then you must press left AGAIN to actually move. The gfx were not good for a port originating on less powerful arcade hardware from 1982

Then you have the superb Sony port on PSN. The emulation is spot on and they went the extra yard to smooth the edges. The controls are excellent. It’s obvious they knew how to take the original 90° mounted arcade joystick and make it work here.
SONY PSN tinyurl.com/pjh3k5t
The objects are blurry (bilinear filtered?). The speech samples are poor. The font is different, and most unfortunately, the controls are not tuned.
REBOOTED tinyurl.com/ly4k3ra
Then you have a popular emulated version with a nice CRT filter effect. I think by now, 33 years later we should have pixel perfect emulation of this game.

Here’s a closeup of the pixels without the filter showing how vivid the colors are and how sharp the pixels should be. ARCADE tinyurl.com/lkm7c8s
DISGAEA 2 on Vita sale pls!!yeah I want it too
Anyway I missed the Valentine sales I want Xtreme Legends on PS3 T_T
AizawaYuuichi: Yeah, but you’ll still have to manually install each game separately after they all finish downloading. A small thing perhaps if one is buying games with small file sizes, but it becomes a problem when you’re used to everything downloading and installing automatically from within the store.
So it’s a trade-off, which is fine. But people should at least be aware of what they’re trading. I routinely use the web store for things like Plus game grabs I don’t care to download yet. But I also like using the PS3 store for longer and/or multiple downloads.
I agree with others that this glitch has got to go. It doesn’t generally freeze my system but it does reboot it. Happened 2-3 times today. I agree with you and countless others that the “new” (now kinda old) store blows and the old one was much better in every way.
Interesting sales this week. Lost in all the hoopla over the Critics’ Choice Sale was the Focus Home Sale. I picked up Magrunner and Rotastic for $2.48 total. Both have demos, and Magrunner has a platinum trophy. Rotastic is essentially a phone game, but I liked the demo enough to bite for $1. Magrunner is a neat little game. I enjoyed the demo a while back and was pleasantly surprised to see it on sale so cheap.
That’s the thing about this sale: There are so many games that have never been on sale or have never been quite this cheap.
On the negative side, there are a lot of stinkers on the list. Beware and do your research with reviews/videos/demos before buying, even for a few dollars.
But all in all, a good sale IMHO.
@ SpooNManX
Well, I just completed all 40 levels of Rebooted. Got the gold trophy to prove it. The controls worked fine for me throughout the whole game.
Admittedly, there were a few deaths where I felt the impulse to blame the controls, but, once I came back to my senses, I realized it was my own mistake. I think a lot of people just refuse to look at themselves as the problem..
Only two levels gave me some trouble: 36 & 39. The rest were a breeze, including the last level. This game was actually too easy.
As for the NES version, well, I was able to beat it as a kid, so, if it really was the worst version, I shouldn’t have too much trouble with the arcade port. If I’m having an overall good time, I can adapt to a flaw here and there. Nothing is perfect. No big deal.
I don’t relate to all the elitism surrounding graphics and such. I’ve always played games just for fun. Only NU-GAMERS care about that $#!*…
:)
Laughing @ the gripe over manual game installs. Hilarious.
Let’s complain about the perforations on toilet paper, too. You know, cause, they don’t always tear perfectly across, right? So annoying. Ugh.
And the sound of the keys clicking on my keyboard are 0.001 decibels louder than I’d like. What gives?
And don’t you just hate it when you try to take a straw out of its wrapper by pounding it on something, and then the damn straw bends, making a little hole? So, then you either have to get a new straw or deal with a little air getting in with every sip. Argh! That’s why I gave up on straws entirely. I just sip out of the cup now.
I also hate it when I’m vacuuming and I pull just an inch too far and the plug comes out of the outlet because it’s a little loose. Then I have to walk over and plug it in again. Golly. Life sure is hard. Why doesn’t everyone make things to specifically cater to me? Don’t they know I’m special?
Hi, I saw that there is a $15 back with $100 spend, and 3rd party application purchases are excluded. Would like to know if War Thunder packs and golden eagles are excluded?
I’m enjoying Rotastic, although I think I may be done with it already. Things start to get ridiculous in World 6 (out of 8). I doubt I’ll bother trying to beat every level, and I know I’ll never gold every level. But still, I got more than my $0.99 worth.
Heh…
Rotastic is one of the easiest games I ever played.
Fun, though.
The Wolf Among Us is still full price. No one has corrected the issue in a week. I don’t think that’s entirely legal
