So, apparently following PlayStation on Twitter and their own blog just isn’t enough. The PlayStation Facebook page did state on December 23 that last week was the final PS Store update of 2014… Way to make sure the information gets out to all of your customers Sony…
Nobody cares about these stupid sales. All we cared about was how Sony was gonna makeup to it’s consumers for them RUINING our Christmas by their Outage and poor security. Now extending the sale instead of putting an update out makes what the DDOSERS did justified! We just purchased Plus for another Full year and we don’t even have the option to download past plus hits. No Playstation Plus Library to choose. I could go on and on about how you ruined my Christmas Sony more than once and compromised my Private Info to hackers. BUT YOU KNOW YOUR DIRTY AND UNTIL YOU CHANGE FROM YOUR WAYS SONY YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE PISSED OFF AND ANGRY CONSUMERS TRYING TO BRING YOU DOWN. The Lizard Squad though they caused me and all of you tons of annoyances and aggravations during CHRISTMAS…that’s right CHRISTMAS…And what falls right next to Christmas my Birthday which you ruined again. @The_Wheelman_IV You need to realize that Sony didn’t ruin Christmas or your birthday. Does it suck you couldn’t play games online or purchase and download games from the PSN? Absolutely. But the blame for that falls squarely on the Lizard Squad. DDoS attacks are something that are pretty much non defendable. If Sony had more servers, LS would’ve just flooded those servers with more bots and the same result would’ve occurred. Also, DDoS attacks are in no way a hit on security, no access to anything was gained, just access to normal users blocked. As far as downloading previous Plus games, you can. So long as you had Plus and claimed the game when it was offered. This it’s pretty clearly stated in the ToS, and it would not make sense from a business stand point to offer every game ever included in the IGC for everyone at all times. Also, they stated via Facebook that the December 23rd update would be the last of 2014. It’s frustration that this want communicated across all of their social media outlets, but the information is there.

Its true. It was all over the plants vs zombies G W free game for the 20th aniversary. The supervisor was all like heres a list of games pick one and it will be mailed to you in compensation for psn being down at the time of the free garden warfare promo. I was all like hell yeah. Then when it didnt come and i called in about it the first rep laughed at me for thinking sony was really going to give me a free game and when i asked for his supervisor he hung up . Then i got to the head manager. She didnt appologize and just kept saying there is nothing here to give you . By that time i didnt want anything but the ceos contact info Which she redfused to give me. Ive worked in the customer service industry for 15 years and ive never treated my rudest customer the way PlayStation reps treated me. If a customer i talked to ever got treated like that i would have done everything i could have to make it right . It just goes to show that big corpoeations like sony really are full of crap when they go on E3 and pretend to really care sbout the consumers of their products. Theycould care less and thats why they instuct their dustomer care/support centers never to give out their contact info

You obviously haven’t been a playstation user very long since you don’t know that there is a sale every week. Holiday sale is just their cutesy branding for their sales this time of year. No one expected another holiday sale. We expected a regular weekly sale with some special deals for new years and to make up for the mess that was Christmas week. Instead of amends we get absolutely nothing and people are rightfully upset.
We should absolutely receive compensation for the downtime. GIVE US OUR DOLLAR, SONY!1!1!111
For those who demand this and that: Grow up, guys! It does not make sense for Sony to compensate you for only 3-4 days outage. Sony is in the business of making money and those 3-4 days outage already lost them tons of money already. Unless the service is down for a long time, don’t expect any freebies. Surely you have better things to do during those 3-4 days, right? You can still play your offline games.
it’s not about being compensated. there are new deals every week, not just on holidays. so instead of new deals this week, they’re just going to extend last weeks (crappy) sales and pretend they’re doing us a favor. it annoys me, but i have a backlog to last me the rest of my life so i’ll get over it quickly. not like i was going to get any deals on vita games anyway.

Extending this sale doesn’t mean Sony shouldn’t start off with the next sale on Tuesdays, kind of a shame they didn’t start the next one. Then again I’ve never expected them to get anywhere near the level of digital sales on PC.
Also any bunch of fools with enough resources can take down any network by DDoSing, no person or company is immune to it once being a target, so all the complaints about the servers being **** cause of this are kind of useless since it’d be the same even if they had 100x the server power.
It doesn’t really bother me about the downtime of psn……. what really bothers me the most were how crappy these sales were and yeah reading back on these comments i agree sony has got to have one of the worst customer service ever and is definitely something they need to improve on the most anyway happy new years everyone :)
one more thing glad someone brought it up but where is that disgaea 2 sale cause a lot of have been waiting forever for it :P

Any blog post, they check the first few comments and reply to those, but that’s it. They never come back to reply to anything else. And since there was absolutely no replies to the first few comments on this post…. I’d say you’re complaining to digital thin air.
So I’m guessing we have to wait till NEXT Tuesday for you to update the store? if so I hope it’s one hell of an update since Psn went down on Christmas day and the day after.
Why are these discounts not available to Asian stores? Are we not important too?

To stay quiet on this issue is more fishy than anything I’ve seen.. Regards to MS and certain media outlets, just totally sith mind tricking everyone.
As a true gamer we should be asking more questions to help figure this thing out.. Maybe unify as one and see the bigger problem rather than just looking for hand outs or a brand new sale lol (sad).

I mean I love sales as much as the next person, but man, reading this comment section you’d think these sales came only once a month or something. But as someone said above, there’s a sale every week! That means there was one last week, and the week before that, and the week before that, and….you get the point. And guess what? There’s likely to be one next week as well! But the one week there isn’t a sale (scratch that, there is one, but it’s not “new”) and it’s like the end of the world. People really need to take a deep breath, a step back, and check their priorities….
