Happy Holidays from Double Fine

Good things coming from the oven!
A minute more, or maybe two.
Made with art and code and lovin’
From Double Fine to all of you!

2014 was one heck of a year! From launching a bunch of new games into the wild to taking on our own indie publishing initiative, you can call us ambitious… or crazy, maybe both?!

In addition to a bunch of PC releases and another round of our Amnesia Fortnight game jam (this time with Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward), we also had a bunch of fun stuff go down for PlayStation fans! Halloween RPG sequel Costume Quest 2 came out this October on PS4 and PS3!

We also became midwives to a handful of amazing indie titles under our publishing initiative Double Fine Presents, including Escape Goat 2 from Magical Time Bean which is now available on PS4. And PlayStation Experience also saw the announce of another DF Presents title coming to PS4, Boneloaf’s Gang Beasts! Mazel Tov!

Next year is looking to be an exciting one for the PlayStation Nation with Double Fine games Grim Fandango Remastered, Broken Age — The Complete Adventure, and Day of the Tentacle: Special Edition all slated for launch on PS4 and PS Vita in 2015. We’re super pumped about it and we hope you are too!

We wish you all the warmth and tenderness this holiday season! Merry Chrismahanukwanzakah!

  • Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you all at double fine. I’m 30 years old and have grown up with all of Tim’s classic adventures. I can’t wait to revisit grim fandango and day of the tentacle in 2015 and all the new games you have in store. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication.

  • Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you all at double fine

  • really excited about Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle. Any chance you guys are working on a game like Maniac Mansion where you just had a single house, but there were lots of possibilities, and nooks and crannies to explore and information to share with other people, and puzzles to figure out.

Looking forward to buying most of your games.

  • Hi Tim,
You seem like a really cool dude and I hope to meet you some day. I suppose that makes me a nerd…but you know, one of the cool nerds.

You support the Vita, I support you. What’s the deal with Grim Fandango not being listed anywhere: psn, Amazon, GameStop, etc? No worries I’ll but it day 1 but it is due out in Jan, right?

Please tell me we can use that cheat in DOTT to access the original Maniac Mansion in HD? That would be my boyhood dream come true.

Keep beating that drum. It’s unique and I love your style. Totally platonic I promise!

  • @3 just throw this out there. Have you checked out The Cave?

  • Aren’t you the guy who wants male gamers to hate their private parts? Go screw yourself, Tim.

  • I’d still love to see Hack’n’Slash, The Cave, and Costume Quest on Vita, but I’m excited as hell to play the “new” titles coming out. I just hope they have more polish than Hack’n’Slash and Costume Quest 2, which were very rough around the edges (but still pretty fun!).

PS: Here’s another vote for Brutal Legend: Director’s Cut on PS4!

  • I’m glad you were able to complete this post, Timmy. I was expecting it to end mid-sentence.

  • Hello Everyone, Anyone know when the Sackboy costume will be available and released for Costume Quest 2? I already bought the game on PS3 back on October 2014, and no one has confirmed an actually release availability…even now…3 months later…January 2015??? Please let us know so our children are not disappointed. Thank you.
