The Drop: New PlayStation Games for 9/30/2014
The Drop

Talion, skilled swordsman and Ranger of the Black Gate, dies upon the rainy walls of his charge, moments after the cruel murder of his wife and child. But Talion is banished from death, and brought back to life by an ancient wraith with a thirst for vengeance. So begins the open-world adventure in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

Shadow of Mordor, which launches this Tuesday on PS4, opens up the rocky passes and shattered ruins that house Sauron’s massing armies. Guide Talion on his quest to find the forces that killed his family, and build his arsenal of powerful runes and wraith magic. Gain insight into the history of Middle-earth, and see a few familiar faces along the way.

But that’s not the only adventure coming to PlayStation this week. Solve deadly mysteries in Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, or fight over-the-top battles in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.

For a full list of games coming to PlayStation, read on. And enjoy the Drop!

  • Since we no longer have weekly PS Plus articles, it’d be really nice if you could list the next week’s sales on these articles.

  • And the only thing remotely interesting or worth playing is mordor and the sherlock holmes game….STAHP with the low quality inspired by the early 80’s commodore games….if i wanted to play those id break out my NES. I got a Ps4 to play something with HD graphics and current gen gameplay sony >_>

  • Sadly I don’t think I will be able to get mordor until christmas :( Oh well, I will just have to enjoy destiny for now..

  • I’m excited that Invizimals:The Alliance is getting a digital release today, but… I pre-ordered the physical copy of the game way back in May and the Amazon.com page is still showing a December 31, 2014 release date. So how is this digital release going to affect the physical release? Will there just not be a physical release at all?

  • Pretty weak lineup for this week’s store drop. Shadows of Mordor will get purchased when I get off of work though.

  • What happened to Pier Solar? It’s not available in store yet.

  • Where is Sherlock? Not available today?

  • To anyone who sees this, Pier Solar HD is already available for purchase, and it is only $15 (hooray, no console price hike). Grabbing it right now before I head to the store to pick up Mordor. Good times.

  • bet you guys cant wait for a new harry potter game! see? This is what gaming has become. God i hope it goes away. My ps4 feels more like a super nintedo mixed with the apple store. At least ps4 doesnt make as much noise as the ps3. After all, thats all my ps4 has been good for, watching netflix. Cause you cant watch netflix on a super nintendo. Oh…wait…you can get the app from the apple store. Never mind. LaterZ
