Hi everyone! The next system software update for PS Vita, version 3.10, will be available for download beginning later today. This update brings some anticipated and useful features to PS Vita, including the ability to display more than 100 applications on the home screen (we know you’ve been waiting patiently for this one), and a new Calendar application.
Check out some of the new features and changes in PS Vita’s 3.10 system update below:
- You can now display up to 500 applications on the home screen.
- A Calendar application has been added for PS Vita, allowing you to set up gaming events with your friends. Sync your Google calendar to have all your events with you on your PS Vita. You can also share your favorite events by using the Messages and Email applications.
- A new “Manage Content on Memory Card” option has been added to the Content Manager application. You can now view the data on your memory card, making it easier than ever to manage content on your PS Vita. You can now view memory usage by content type, and delete content and applications.
- You can now send and receive voice messages using the Messages application on PS Vita. Exchange voice messages with your friends and players on PS4 and PS Vita.

Still no update in sight.
Give it up Ladies and Gentlemen for the WORLD RENOWNED & LEGENDARY RELIABILITY OF THE PSN.
Someday Sony will figure out it’s a good idea for Monday to mean Monday and Tuesday to mean Tuesday, until then we can all go screw ourselves.
Please Destroy all Humans 2(PS2) on Vita.
It would easily look the best game for vita.
Just think about it.
Release the 64 GB Vita Memory Card in North America (as in don’t forget Canada)!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay update.
Browser needs to be completely overhauled.
A Twitch app would be so great.
Calender is cool, but I already bought Sola Calender, and it does me just fine.
In fact, that developer has been giving us mobile apps that should have been included from day one. A simple yet useful weather app, come on.
Like the PSP, more control over our music and pictures would be nice.
Simple apps such as Tumblr, snapchat, Vine, etc seems so obvious, yet… Think we have enough video streaming services.
I love my Vita, and I don’t want to see it go the way of the PSP, wasted potential.
copy paste feature and text editor
Some really nice additions.^^
But what I would love to see in the future would be some reader app to view PDF and eBook files.
looking for a twitch app O;!
Really happy about the updates that happening for ps4 and ps vita. Please, continue like that <3.
3.0.1 or 3.1.0?
Enfin!!!
Yey PSV sys update is ON!
I will do a test record of my fart, check it’s size and pin it in callendar as an attachment. Then i will download it and set as an app for my home screen. Soon after I will tell you all how things work.
also I would like to put a ‘like’ on comment #154 but simply can’t
there were numerous updates and still I can’t switch music through LR bumpers (like in PSP)
but who needs those when you get another apps that will land straight in your trash folder#2 because #1 is not enough. You can’t even hide them from home screen. Gosh what a disaster.
Fantastic! The 30 or 40 people who still have a Vita should be delighted!
I would like to see a FW update increasing compatibility with PSX and PSP games on the Vita. I would REALLY like to see a FW update adding PS2 emulation to the Vita, allowing us to play the PS2 classics that are on the PSN. I think it was a huge wasted opportunity when the Vita was announced to lack that feature, as I have always dreamed that it would be natural for PSP’s successor to be able to play PS2 games, as the PSP played PSX games. This would make the Vita even more attractive, as it would increase the game library and also encourage more people to buy PS2 classics. Let’s face it, they don’t look very good on a HD TV, but they would look as good as we remember on Vita’s smaller screen.
Thank you for the info on the 3.10 update.
And I want this app(JAPAN psVita ONLY)
I want you to take out this application. (japanese ps vita)

Very good update, but this should only be the beginning of a series of updates to the system.
I know this comment is way back but if it is seem by someone on the team, please pass it along.
A poll on the blog needs to be made asking the PS Vita community for feedback in what needs priority on the following list of shortcomings for the PS Vita system.
1. We realize that maybe the PS Vita is not designed to work with more than one account at a time, maybe the encryption pairs with the memory card which then has to match the system.
But, can it be made possible to use multiple memory cards, one for each account, allowing the switching of accounts and making the PS Vita system aware of those multiple cards and accounts, therefore a simple Settings > Account Management > Switch Account = Power Off – User switches memory card – User powers up PS Vita – PS Vita recognizes account on card and on loads with that account. This means that PSN details would be stored on the card and not on the PS Vita system.
2. Expand upon WiFi encryption (WEP, WPA, WP2, WPA Enterprise, etc), this should be standard on any hardware released by Sony!
3. Allow hiding applications (and restoring them by going to Settings > System > Restore Hidden Apps)
4. PSN App – Download List filtering (filter out, by default) content that is not playable on the PS Vita.
5. Button Reassignment (allow us to either swap the X and O, or reassign buttons as needed across the interface and/or games).
6. More integration with PS4 and its social features (there is no reason the PS Vita does not have a PS Live App, nor the What’s New Feed)!
7. Bundling of Apps (Content Management needs to be a subitem of Settings, Music, Movies, Pictures can all go into a Media App, PS3 Remote Play and PS4 Link, etc).
8. Alternative UI (that offers parity with the PS4 UI, while keeping our folders as squares instead of bubbles with a 3 x 4 layout per screen).
9. UI Shortcuts (look at a recent Android 4.4 device, allow swiping to the left to reveal favorite apps, etc.).
There are more where these came from, but even if these are not looked at, please consider some of them and what the community is asking for.
The sales will come, but you must support the system just like you are supporting the PS4, if not, what is the point of even trying!
Thank for reading this far!
All great feedback, thanks for letting us know
