We’re coming to you today to let you know that Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster is available to pick up and take home now on both PS3 and PS Vita, bringing two classic RPGs to the modern age. Whether Final Fantasy X was one of your favorite games back on the PS2, or you never got a chance to try it, there’s never been a better time to play.
The HD Remasters of both games are feature complete with all the International Edition content that never got released here in North America, and now they take advantage of all the neat stuff PlayStation consoles offer. You’ve got some major Trophy hunting to do, and the two versions feature cross save compatibility with each other, so if you’ve got both, you never have to be without your game. The music is completely remastered, there’s a bonus audio drama… This is truly the definitive version of both games!
We had a lot of great pre-order bonuses going, and while that window has passed, I can say that there are still very limited quantities of the Collector’s Edition in stock, but they won’t last long. The Collector’s Edition comes with a beautiful 40 page art book, five full-sized lithograph prints, and the Final Fantasy X HD Remaster Blu-ray Soundtrack, which has over six hours of music from the game and the MP3 files available on the disc. The soundtrack alone retails for $59.99, so $79.99 for that plus the game and art book is a pretty good deal by my math.
Finally, near and dear to my heart is the Final Fantasy X | X-2 Art Gallery Exhibition, running now through March 26th at the Gallery Nucleus here in Southern California. If you’re not local to the area, all of the art from the show is currently on auction. These prints are all one of one, and come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Producer Yoshinori Kitase. They will never be reproduced, and a few pieces are even original art by the development staff, including Art Director Yusuke Naora and Character Designer Tetsuya Nomura. All the proceeds from this art will be donated to the Typhoon Haiyan relief effort, so please consider bidding. We’ll ship anywhere in the world.
I’ll end this blog on a personal note to say that it’s been a blast working on Final Fantasy X, a game that I sunk more than 200 happy hours into and never regretted one of them. Not even when a friend saved over my game and I had to start over.
Tidus opens the game with the line, “Listen to my story. This may be our last chance.” So tell us your Final Fantasy X story in the comments. We’d love to hear it!
It was posted 232 by Beiskaand is accurate that on twitter @Playstation say it will take a few hours for the store to fully update.
Beiska and @PlayStation^ . sorry about the typos.
@JURAI-TENCHI thx for the update, the waiting game still sucks though lol. Btw awesome name.
ah sorry @PlayStation i normally ad the ^ to refer to previous post I made.
While we wait… Anyone going to platinum this? Can’t wait to dodge those 200 lightning bolts again. :)
@wolfsinner you just had to bring up a bad memory huh? xD. I am unsure if i want to do that or not.
Who wants to hook up tonight
@biscut567 Haha. Also, the Chocobo minigame for Caladbolg’s sigil. Good times! Waiting to be relived (or re-suffered).
@Wolfsinner oh man good and bad times lol, I will try to do that challenge!
I just sucked the fart out of my girlfriends butthole and held it in like a bong hit!
I was asking about the vita version later, just got it now thanks for the link in here, since I couldn’t find it on the store in the vita, thanks guys XD, now just have to wait to the download finish
This version has dual audio (English and Japanese voices)? it be great if they included, or at least on a DLC like in Lightning Returns.
Waiting for the PS3 version, the VITA version can wait a little more (i don’t have enough money)
For real foo
I’ve found the Vita version (almost accidentally bought it) but no PS3 one yet! I only loaded up my account for this game as there was apparently confirmation it would be digital. SAD FACE.
Frantic it is coming for ps3 the update is going to take a few hours longer to be fully published to the ps store
@FranticLupercal The PS3 version is coming today, don’t worry.
Really sad that Sony doesn’t do these updates the day before or something, and keep the content “hidden” until release days. It’s a little disappointing that it takes so long for an update, let alone a delay.
I don’t even know how the game wasn’t on pre-order here, when it has been on pre-order for weeks on the European Store.
I was hoping I could still play a little today, but that’s looking more unlikely by the hour. :/
Cheers guys. I’ll keep an eye out
Seriously, where’s the PS3 digital version? This is nuts. Nope, still not there…
For that matter, why isn’t there a PS4 version?
Jesus f****** christ PSN. How hard can it be. When i searched earlier today (alot earlier), i couldn’t find either of them, but now the Vita version is up, and now the ps3 version.. Why?? Seriously.. Why? Amateurs.
Not**
Sometimes when my mom goes to work I lay down in her garden and pretend I’m a carrot
And afte an hour I take the carrots and shub them up my ass and then eat and tell my mom we got robbed
I got Ground Zeroes at 3AM EST this morning, but FFX HD is still no where to be found. I’m pretty disappointed it’s still not up. Clearly it’s not technical difficulties keeping it from launching on PSN if all the other games released today are there. At least give a time for the PSN launch, I buy digital for a reason.
Are these going to be able to be purchased separately?
@ Archreact – No. Apparently not.
I can’t even find the vita version

Alright, the Vita version can be found through my PS3’S PSN, but not my Vita’s… I’ll take it. FINALLY I CAN PLAY THIS GAME!
I’m in New York and it’s still not up. What’s going on?
Sony did a crappy job with the digital release, that’s what’s going on.
To Sakura Minamida:
Could you give a time frame to when the PS3 version of the game will be available on the Playstation Network? We know that the game is supposed to have a digital version for the PS3 version of the game. The Vita version is available but not the PS3 version. Is that something you would know or would we have to talk to Square Enix or Sony directly?
Man does anyone know if the Vita version is on the Psn yet?
So I could only purchase/find the Vita version through PSN’s terrible search engine on my PS3, but that’s where to find it guys. You can download them as two separate games even though you have to purchase both, but there is still now PS3 version in sight.
@Byakuya-Kuchki15 Did you even bother reading the past comments? YES! just go to the web store!
You can also get the Vita version through the web UI.
I think someone posted the link before, but here it is again:

It’s still not on the Vita!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@DarthKuma YES IT IS! It’s just not on the vita’s store. It’s on the web shop and the ps3’s shop. Do people even BOTHER reading these days?
I better not have to wait two days to play final fantasy x and x2 we all have waited long enough.
Well, after a solid 8 hours of watching for the digital PS3 version I’m off to do something else. Good night and good luck.
I really don’t understand why I can’t buy X-2 separately. I don’t want X. This is frustrating.
I dont post often…but i just have to say that this really sucks. I usually dont give a crap when the update comes because i dont day one many games, but the one day that i was hoping it would go up at normal time…even if it comes out in like a half hour still will take me until i go to bed to probably download and install a 22 gig game…i know they get this alot and i really hope they are listening, but please get it together.
Well it looks as though we wont be getting it today for the ps3 :( but hey i have waited since 2011 i guess i can wait a little longer… dammit sony get your **** together.
This is bs, the 1 game ive been waiting for all year and im still sitting here waiting at 730 in the evening. Get your **** together sony
FFX/x-2 ps3 was JUST ADDED!
O did they add it? Seriously? I was about to hit myself in the head with a shovel in hopes that by the time I woke up and regained composure, the game would be added. I’m going to put this shovel down and check.

Same. i already own FFX on PS2, and am quite sick of it. it’s good and it has the best battle system in the series, but it’s so damned linear, plus i’ve beaten it like 3 times already.
Wow it took less than a week to get me from thinking sony was awesome to thinking they are terrible.
This week:
A) raised the price of the ps4 by $50
B) raised the price of ps4 games by $5
You blame this on the strength of the Canadian dollar but how do you explain:
C) raising the price of exclusives by $10
Thats just corporate greed at its finest and now:
D) take days longer to update psn without any explanation
E) update on time but with an anticipated game missing
Seriously you guys dropped tge bomb big time and i lost all appreciation for this company as im sure many others have as well
Then why don’t I see it anywhere?
I’ve made the purchase but now i’m getting an error code on the download.
@BloodyYuki29 Any pointers? Can’t find it.
