We’re coming to you today to let you know that Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster is available to pick up and take home now on both PS3 and PS Vita, bringing two classic RPGs to the modern age. Whether Final Fantasy X was one of your favorite games back on the PS2, or you never got a chance to try it, there’s never been a better time to play.
The HD Remasters of both games are feature complete with all the International Edition content that never got released here in North America, and now they take advantage of all the neat stuff PlayStation consoles offer. You’ve got some major Trophy hunting to do, and the two versions feature cross save compatibility with each other, so if you’ve got both, you never have to be without your game. The music is completely remastered, there’s a bonus audio drama… This is truly the definitive version of both games!
We had a lot of great pre-order bonuses going, and while that window has passed, I can say that there are still very limited quantities of the Collector’s Edition in stock, but they won’t last long. The Collector’s Edition comes with a beautiful 40 page art book, five full-sized lithograph prints, and the Final Fantasy X HD Remaster Blu-ray Soundtrack, which has over six hours of music from the game and the MP3 files available on the disc. The soundtrack alone retails for $59.99, so $79.99 for that plus the game and art book is a pretty good deal by my math.
Finally, near and dear to my heart is the Final Fantasy X | X-2 Art Gallery Exhibition, running now through March 26th at the Gallery Nucleus here in Southern California. If you’re not local to the area, all of the art from the show is currently on auction. These prints are all one of one, and come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Producer Yoshinori Kitase. They will never be reproduced, and a few pieces are even original art by the development staff, including Art Director Yusuke Naora and Character Designer Tetsuya Nomura. All the proceeds from this art will be donated to the Typhoon Haiyan relief effort, so please consider bidding. We’ll ship anywhere in the world.
I’ll end this blog on a personal note to say that it’s been a blast working on Final Fantasy X, a game that I sunk more than 200 happy hours into and never regretted one of them. Not even when a friend saved over my game and I had to start over.
Tidus opens the game with the line, “Listen to my story. This may be our last chance.” So tell us your Final Fantasy X story in the comments. We’d love to hear it!
I for one would love X-3 on Vita and would happily pay $40 maybe even 50
You would pay 60 most likely I know I would give 60 or more for it.
XxMalfoyXx I bought it through sonyentertainmentnetwork.com->games->psvita, it says i can download it for ps3 and vita, only bought it once, haven’t had time to check it, but everyone said it was not cross-buy, i’m curious, but I’m at work :(
No it’s not Cross Buy. It says PS3 and Vita because you can download the game to your PS3 and Transfer it over to your vita.
Yeah Mike I know it says cross platform play but it isn’t supposed to be cross buy give it a try and let me know if it works on the ps3 if you can.
It does say its for PS3 and Vita so my guess is it is cross buy? Someone please confirm once they test thank you
@TooLegig505 It’s not cross-buy. Stop asking. If it was, it would say it was.
i just bought the vita version off sonyentertainmentnetwork.com->games->psvita. The page I saw says bundle psvita. Its not a cross buy… You can download it on the PS3 to transfer to vita like XxMalfoyXx said. Still waiting for the PS3 digital… Its kinda sad but I really wanna play it on the big screen before trying it out on the vita… lol
so at this moment its impossible to get a digital copy for vita unlezs you own a ps3? I only own a via and cant find it anywhere. Ive tried sony entertainment network and all it does is force open my store app
No you can get a vita copy without owning a ps3 the vita version is already there.
@Cgray0100 go here on a computer https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-us/home/games then click New this week
to get it on the Vita you need to use your computer/smart phone and purchase it off of https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-us/search/q=final%20fantasy%20x?smcid=psblog::store-msf77008-newthisweek:ps-blog-http:–blog.us.playstation.com
After you purchase it, go to your vita, open the playstation store and press the button in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. It should list both FFX games for download.
Thats how I got it. I didn’t show up in the Vita Playstation Store.
A REAL Final Fantasy on PS3 – FINALLY !
Much better than the XIII garbage.
Will anyone let me download this off of them? I have a bunch of games that you can download off of me as well
I really cant find it x ……headache
@xRattPackBoyx Shame on you.
@BloodyYuki29 what lol its not like im trying to get it for nothing in return. I have like 9 vita games that someone can download off of me
https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-us/games/final-fantasy-x-x-2-hd-remaster/cid=UP0082-NPUB50097_00-B000000000000250
Add to Cart. Check Out. Go on to your Vita and open the PSN Store. At right bottom corner tap on the bubble. Tap on Download List. You’ll see both games.
@xRattPackBoyz The fact remains is that what you’re asking for is akin to software piracy. What you are asking is unethical and illegal.
Cgray0100 –
Buy the game on the Sony Entertainment Network (via browser) then go to the PS Store on your Vita and download it directly. To do this, once in the PS Store click the “…” in the bottom right corner of your screen and click “Download List”. You’ll see FFX and FFX-2 there. Click download. Voila.
So is it up for the ps3 on the ps store yet?
Bloodyyuki29 is right. Nobody here knows who you are. PSN account hijacks have happened, and trusting strangers online is a big no-no. Anyhow, it is against Terms of Service, and you should know better not to post that ****, especially here. Also, it’s only 2 accounts, not 5. Also, so you’ve bought games before, but you’re too cheap to buy this or at least wait til a price drop?
For f’s sake, you should know better than to ask here. What the hell is wrong with you?
We all work hard for what we have to buy it like the rest of us quit being a bum.
Malfoy — no just Vita still.
Okay thanks
PS3 Digital?
Not yet Julio should be soon.
I’ll be sure to post as soon as I see PS3 available… even though I’m hanging with Wakka on Besaid Island. :)
BTW graphics for Vita are pretty damn good. I bet it’ll look amazing on PS3.
Okay cool sarry thanks alot.
WHERE IS PS3 VERSION!!! TELL ME SONY!!
Calm down Terry, we’ll see soon enough.
Posted on twitter Update: PlayStation Store may be a few hours late today in fully publishing. We’ll keep you posted!
Never would have guessed…
Well go figure
Any updates on digital for PS3 yet?
This is ridiculous that the store is not updated yet. It should have had a pre order on the store and been available at 12:01 AM, I mean MGS was, and it is not even a full game, and it HAD a pre order. Sony’s lack of communication with their customer base waiting for the digital downloads is absurd also. Update the store please.
Thanks @XxMalfoyxX
Hey, kind of a weird question but my nephew just grabbed my vita & wants to play ffx on it. Does anyone know if that would mess up a PS3 FFX save game since it has the cross save functionality? I know I’m getting a little ahead of myself because were all still waiting for the PS3 digital version but I’ve never played a game with the cross save, so I’m not really sure how it works. Both the PS3 and vita games will be on my PSN ID… Anyone ever tried this? Thx.
He Julio the update is going to be late today being fully updated.
That is a good question @Chronicle79, it shouldn’t being the vita memory card thing is different from the psn saved data harddrive. and dangit! i want final fantasy X already.
Yw Julio is what I meant stupid auto correct.
Thanks @Biscut567. I don’t wanna be the stingy uncle… but after waiting over a year for this and and buying a vita for it… I really don’t wanna come home to a saved over game. lol
I posted the exact wording of the cross save capability a couple of pages back. It’s also stated on your Vita main screen under “Data Transfer”.
Cool… I check it out. Thx for the help!
Yw @Chronicle79 and i understand the feeling.
I’m having some undying hatred for my skype friend, he is already playing final fantasy X on the vita >.<
Why we don’t get any info of the digital version, are getting it any time soon?, Can’t find any info about this in anyplace, can they just say if it gonna take some time or not
@Vicknight It will be on the psn store today, just going to take a few more hours then usual. Which is pretty stupid that the Vita version is up on the store and not the ps3 one.
I am surprised that its taking a while to be on the psn store. Not only that, all the gamestop, best buy, fry’s around my area are all sold out of both versions.
@mrxato all we can do now is play the annoying waiting game.
@biscut567 Yes… :(
