  • Dangit I just bought Puppeteer last saturday.
Oh well, still worth the price to me…

  • Walking Dead Season Pass = Episodes 2-5. Since episode 1 is now Free, yes, that means you can get the whole series for $5 for non PS+ members.

  • Getting the last of us…. can my HDD even support it?
    Damn, it’s full.
Oh well, saving my cash for PS4 anyway…

  • Huge sale.

  • Life just got better!!!

  • Just to be clear, in my mail appear this prices for PVZ:
    Plants vs. Zombies $2.50 $4.99 $10.49
Plants vs. Zombies PS Vita $3.75 $7.49 $14.99

    and here the prices are:

    Plants vs. Zombies $3.75 $4.99 $7.49
Plants vs. Zombies PS Vita $5.25 $7.49 $10.49

why?? i want my mail prices ;) :D

  • Thanks a lot PunkrawkBbob.
WIll probably get the walking dead season pass and dead island GOTY for 15$.

  • Don’t forget that the Get $10 for Every $50 Spent promotion is running through October 29th. For every $50 you spend using your SEN Wallet, you’ll receive a $10 credit back (up to $100). That means for the first week of the Sale of the Dead (10/22 through 10/28), you can take advantage of even more savings. I guess 29th is too late then.

  • @157 The Promo ends on October 29th.

Will they round up my spending to $100 for the spend every $50 get $10 back promo if I were if to spend a total of $99.63?

  • when is this coming live?

  • why is there no Last of Us Season Pass?

now’s the time to get that PS+ subscription, buy Puppeteer and Walking Dead Season Pass (this includes all Episodes except 400 days, right?).

and maybe look for other games that I like to get to $100 and get back $20. :D

  • Does the spend $50 get $10 credit promo work with sales from the second week? Through 10/29 is so vague and doesn’t tell me when they want to end the promo.

  • @Grey-Bloxz

I just read through the rules for the promotion and it doesn’t specify when it ends. I’m assuming “through” to mean until the 29th ends which could be at midnight. But midnight in which time zone? Yea, they need to be a little more clear in their description.

  • Now this is the kind of sale that PS+ was meant for. I see myself picking up a fair bit over the next 2 weeks in the game department. Makes up for an otherwise lackluster month in the IGC department (though I am still happy that the game genre diversity is being spread around, keep that up).

For those lamenting the lack of VITA support, I feel your pain. Sony has pretty much abandoned it as a gaming platform and thinks of it only as a PS4 peripheral now. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. VITA owners deserve better.

  • Here’s hoping we get a similar level of sale at Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

  • yeaaaaahhhh!!!!!! Bioshock here I come

  • This sale is amazing better with ps plus getting a lot of stuff this month

  • Can someone from Sony please respond regarding the “Spend $50 get $10 back” promotion? There is a lot of confusion surrounding when it actually ends. I am assuming that it will end when the store updates on October 29th, but we’re all hoping it doesn’t end until midnight Pacific Standard Time on October 29th (which would technically be 12am Wednesday October 30th on the West Coast and 3am Wednesday October 30th on the East Coast).
If Sony intended to convey the message that the promotion would end on the 28th, then the statement should have read:
“Don’t forget that the Get $10 for Every $50 Spent promotion is running through October 28th”
    OR
“Don’t forget that the Get $10 for Every $50 Spent promotion is running until the PlayStation Store updates on October 29th”
Either way, I think it’s pretty clear that everyone is hoping that it will at least run for THROUGH the 29th and allow us to include purchases from at least the first day of the Horror Week Sale. I’d greatly appreciate it though, and I’m sure a great deal of others would as well, if someone could PLEASE post SOMETHING to clear up the confusion one way or another?

  • Great job by PSN on these deals. I could see myself easily spending $50 and hopefully I would get that $10 credit back. If not, it isn’t a big deal because the deals are so good. Siren (MUST HAVE AT $10), DMC, Walking Dead $2.99?! and 400 days, RDR: Undead Nightmare, Doom 3, Fatal Frame 1 and 2 ($2 each), House of the Dead Bundle (I already have overkill on disc but for $7.50, I would spend for part 3 and 4), maybe Bioshock 2 ($5) and/or Dead Nation ($3). You get a lot of bang for your buck especially if the $10 credit happens in the 2nd week. Hopefully it does.

I just bought Dead Space for $10.25 on Sunday so I recommend Dead Space for $5.99….. The Last of Us for $35.99 is also a great deal.

  • What time EST U.S. are these deals live?

  • @167 I’m pretty sure it will end on October 29th @ 11:59 PM PST.

  • Getting DmC: Devil May Cry for $20 and Fatal Frame 1/2. These sales are so amazing event though I have most of these games already. So is the 29 the cut off date or will purchases on that date count toward the spend $50 get $10 back? I spend about $100 and am getting $20 back next month.

  • @103

PSN has all sales are final in their terms and services. I understand how you feel as I’ve bought games that are later discounted or offered for free but what can you do.

  • SONY: you should start HONORING system like @103 mentioned…..

  • Can I know why Fatal Frame 3 is not in the sales since both the first 2 are? I would love to own all 3 of them.

  • Probably picking up Fatal Frame 1 & 2, wish the 3rd was on sale as well. Also, why no Resident Evil 6?

  • The “spend $50, get $10 credit” promotion doesn’t apply to the week 2 deals. They are still great deals worth purchasing without the $10 credit promotion. I read this part in the description above. First week only.

“Don’t forget that the Get $10 for Every $50 Spent promotion is running through October 29th. For every $50 you spend using your SEN Wallet, you’ll receive a $10 credit back (up to $100). That means for the first week of the Sale of the Dead (10/22 through 10/28), you can take advantage of even more savings.”

  • @177

Or they don’t want to say anything about the second week sales because then people will get confused and start complaining when they buy things on the 30th/31st and blah blah blah.

Any rational person would assume “through the 29th” means until midnight on that day.

If you buy stuff on the 29th after the store updates and they don’t honor it for the buy $50 get $10 promotion, I’d complain endlessly until they gave me $10.

Or, you know, they could actually reply to one of the 10+ people who have asked about it already.

  • @178 has it right. Had they wanted to end the sale on the 28th, they would have said “through the 28th.” They could have also said, “until the 29th.” No legitimate sale in the history of sales has said “through day X” and ended on the day before X.

Sony, if you have 15 people asking about this issue in the comments, that means you have thousands wondering. Why not clear it up?

  • @103 I don’t know any online digital retailer that has an honour system when it comes to buying games on sale. Green Man Gaming, Amazon, Xbox Live and Steam all have random sales. It’s a good rule of thumb when buying games digitally to just wait because if it was on sale before, it will probably be on sale again soon.

Welcome to the world of online retail.

  • Everyone who is confused about the promotion just needs to read the description on top. It says the promotion is for the first week only. Read the bottom part. Key word is FIRST WEEK to take advantage of the $10 credit promotion.

  • @181, the definition of “through” is “continuing in time toward completion of (a process or period).” So “through October 29th” means until the end of the 29th.

  • has this started?

  • @181

“That means for the first week of the Sale of the Dead (10/22 through 10/28), you can take advantage of even more savings.”

And also for the first several hours of the second week?

Or maybe they’ll do a super late update after midnight like they used to do all the time to nullify the whole argument.

  • PSN is telling different things. Technically they should include 10/29 in the promotion because they said through and it should mean 10/29. However, when PSN says “For the first week you can take advantage of the promo savings through 10/28”, I believe they mean that first week only.

When nobody from PSN wants to clarify 10/29 promotion debate, it gives me more reason that they won’t include 10/29 in the promotion. Where is Pierre’s reply to the big promotion question?

As for the promotion being “several hours” of the second week? I would say that the promo should be for the entire night on 10/29 but I highly doubt it. PSN doesn’t update their weekly deals consistently at the same time on Tuesday. PSN should do the right thing and include 10/29 as it would make more profit for them in the long run even with them giving $10 credit. I would be spending +$50 if week 2 deals count… If not, I am probably spending like $30 max. Do the right thing PSN.

  • Yay, it’s live now!

  • what is the difference

The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season 9,79$

    and

The Walking Dead – Season Pass 2,99$

    ?

  • @187

I’m pretty sure that the $10 one is for the Vita while the $3 one is the PS3 version of the game,

  • @187

I think they’re the same game, but first one is for vita while the second is for ps3.

  • @187

Vita version is the more expensive one.

I just purchased The Walking Dead (season pass) ($2.99) and 400 Days ($2.44)… I am ps+ subscriber. I can’t wait to play it.

  • @185

My point was… it’s not very convenient for them to say “The first weeks sales are included, as are the second weeks, but only during the first several hours until midnight pacific time on the 29th”.

So, as the sale goes ‘through’ the 29th, and the store generally updates before midnight on Tuesdays, then anything you buy from the new sale before midnight should count.

  • Through 10/29 is so vague. I have a feeling that Sony wants to end the promo after the store updates so they can save some $10 credits. Gunna grab the Red Dead Redemption collection as well to make my $50 purchase on the first week instead of hoping puppeteer will count.

  • uf my not reading enough, thanks getting it for 3$ come one this is too cheap :)

  • @192, one might argue they will make more revenue over all by offering the promotion for Week 2 Day 1.

  • @Pierre Gravereau // Director, Digital Distribution

Hello Pierre. Will the “Spend $50, get $10 credit” promotion still be good on October 29th or is it completely over on the 29th? I am willing to purchase a lot more to reach $50 but I am unsure of how the promotion works on October 29th.

  • PS plus price/Sale price/Regular price

    Plants vs. Zombies $3.75 $4.99 $7.49

Plants vs. Zombies PS Vita $5.25 $7.49 $10.49

plants vs zombies (PSN/PS3) is at its regular listed price of $7.49 and the Vita version is listed at 10.49.

the original post should be edited to indicate the game is not on sale.

  • Man it doesn’t what they said in the bottom paragraph. Nothing there excludes the promotion being applicable to the 29th. It could just mean they don’t want to mislead people into thinking they have the whole week to get the games on Week 2 and still qualify for the credit.

The terms of the $10 back promo is very specific. It runs through the 29th. If they wanted to say that it ends ON the 29th, they would have said the 28th to avoid any confusion, like they have so many times in the past… but they didn’t. Most likely when the system review your purchase records it will be done by date and not whenever the PSN gods deign to update the store that day anyways.

  • Though I should add I have no idea why they wouldn’t just set up the promo to end on the 31st. It makes no logical sense to have such a confusing end date for a promotion that’s supposed to be cover the MONTH of October, especially with a rotating sale happening right in the middle of it. A bet a lot of people would have bought more this week and during last week’s sale if they knew for sure that Week 2’s purchases would qualify towards their $50.

    Amateur hour, guys.

  • DMC: Devil may cry is a must!
Any good horror games thats worth getting?
I played dead space series already and resident evil. Also is The Walking Dead Season Pass all the episodes as well?

  • Whats a REAL good horror game from the list?
