  • Ah cool, the original!

  • The price sold me on it. Looking forward to this.

  • Will Rayman Legends come out September 3? Will we be able to preorder for any kind of bonus?

  • Since u work for sega, if u could pass this along, i hope u guys have something special for Virtua Fighter’s 20th anniversary, u guys didn’t do anything for the franchise’s 15th at least in North America, Would love to see the following:
-VF 1 and 3 for PSN/XBLA and hopefully Wii U eShop.
-VF on PS Vita or at least 3DS.
-Virtua Fighter 6 for PS4 and Xbox One.

Sorry to sort of spam this blog.

  • any Plus discount like Ducktales?

  • Will the original genesis version have trophies lol? It would make me play it.

  • Will the original Genesis version have it’s own set of trophies?

    • No. There is no trophies attached to this bonus original game. The game was ported to PS3 “as is”. No new features were added.

  • @MakoSOLDIER my thoughts exactly. would preorder day one if it also has trophies.

  • Vita support or no interest

  • this is a must have!!

  • I would eat this UP on Vita. Especially the original version.

  • Oh really I’m doing this as soon as I get home!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Made a mistake, gotta wait 4 more days ugh.

  • Go to Google

Search “Let’s Get FlatOut Head On PS Vita Compatible”

    Click on the first result.

    Sign the petition please.

    Thank you

  • This is going to be so awesome! Love the old Mickey games.

  • Plus pre-order discount please!!!

  • IGN has this listed as a Vita release.
    I hope someone gets fired.
    Shame on you IGN.

  • I can’t think of a better preorder bonus. Very sneaky, guys. I may preorder this one now. Well played.

  • Definitely grabbing this! :D

  • $11.99 PlayStation Plus? That’d definitely win me over.

  • I was already buying it! This Sweetens the deal! The best pre order deal in a long time for a PSN game!

  • To echo a few other users, does the Genesis version come with trophies?

  • I’d also appreciate a response re: trophies on the Genesis version.

  • First we get an updated DuckTales and now an updated Castle of Illusion….yet no Vita version for either, despite that being the perfect platform for side-scrolling platformers.

  • Now that’s an awesome bonus.
And did I read this correct. If you pre-order it when the pre-order goes live, you get to download the original version and play right away ?. I’m sold.

    • Yes, for PSN (US/Canada/LATAM) users, you can download and play the original game immediately after you place an order. And … the pre-order starts today!

  • The game looks amazing, wish there was a PS Vita version just like Puppeteer also.

  • I was going to buy Ragnarok Odyssey on sale on Vita next week, but I think I’ll pick this up instead. Had a lot of fun playing Castle of Illusion back in the day. The preorder bonuses make it even better, now how about a preorder plus discount? Yes?

  • I would also like to know if the Original Sega game will have trophies, also I may get this even if it doesn’t because that’s a good deal!

  • Hey, Mai Kawaguchi
It would be a good idea to answer the questions of people that are interested in your game. The likelihood that they will buy it goes down with each one that remains unanswered. And it guarantees people won’t forget about it.

  • Excited to check this out! Never played the original but I did play the spiritual sequel on the 3DS last year. I have to say that these are some very cool preorder bonuses. Will be preordering once the store updates on Tuesday :)

  • Please let there be a Plus discount like there was for DuckTales!

  • dont care for games like this or ducktales but i must say its pretty kool to have extra bonuses like this on pre-orders. a bit more content for ur money. specialy the original full game.

  • I was on the fence with buying this, but the bonuses have swayed me I believe.

  • I like the digital bonuses so I will pre-order.

  • The original Genesis game free with a pre-order. Now this is a great way to do pre-orders, hopefully others will follow SEGAs fantastic example.

  • These pre-order bonuses are appreciated. Thank you.

  • I’m hoping this game has come out, I remember with great affection and see how it will be improved for PS3 is incredible … waiting for September 3rd and the price is great

  • Castle of Illusions is one of my favorite games of all time so yes of course fans like me will pre-order just to have it for free!

  • Cool like a duck tales type deal, nice.

  • Pretty impressive deal.

  • I was kind of planning on picking this up but with the pre-order deals…. makes it tough to pass. Great bonuses. I really wish other titles would offer such quality/limited freebies. Great job Sega!

  • id rather have magical quest starring mickey mouse. had a lot of fun with that on the snes.

  • the lack of Vita support bewilders me
but this is an awesome way to do the pre-order :D

  • Awesome pre-order bonuses.

Shame that there’s no PS Vita version. Even if it was just the emulated version of the Genesis version…

I really really really want this on my PS Vita and would gladly buy it twice for it. (and Ducktales… Capcom… *glares*)

    Oh well.

  • sweet, thank you so much! the original game for pre- orders and other bonus is awesome deal. please keep this up in the future. just FYI castle of illusion was actually started on the Sega master system, anyone remember?

  • What a sweet deal. I was going to buy this game anyway, but now I’m even more excited for it. Thanks!

Looks like you got your wish, Spoonman!

  • Not a big fan of full price especially at $15 but getting the original Genesis game sweetens the pot a bit. It’s been a very long time since I played that and would be interesting to see how it holds up and compares to this remake. :)

I also agree with others that this would be a great one to have on Vita as well.

  • Sony/SEGA, who ever is in charge of this awesomeness, if you can make the original Castle of Illusion pre-order bonus thingy compatible for the VITA, I will love you FOREVER!
