Nothing for me again this week. I don’t own a Vita (used to, but didn’t like it), and indie games aren’t my cup of tea usually. Maybe to attempt to please everyone with a free game each week, there could be 1 PS3 title, 1 Vita title, and 1 indie title offered, and the account holder can choose which one of the 3 he or she wants to be the free game, and if they still want either one or both of the other 2, they can purchase them at a discounted rate. Just a thought.
Some good discounts this week, a few that aren’t recycled and everything.
Not a good month for the IGC, but I do like this variation of the Plus discounts, nice to see a couple new titles (rpg!) on the Vita getting some discounted love.
Thanks.
@ 137
I couldnt have said it better myself ! Keep up the good work everyone at Sony !!!
URGH! Got halfway or so through page 2, but can’t stand not to speak out against the rude or wrong backlashes.
To say Runner2 is some one-buck mobile app is to generalize runners. There’s multiplayer FPSes on mobile, too, and I feel about the same bias as there’s proven against Runner2. And an art game? The BIT.TRIPs are hard arcade games with weird aesthetics. Journey’s an artsy game (and a great romp, don’t get me wrong); Runner2’s just odd-lookin’.
So, can I take that Good Friends discount as ATLAS’s missing share?
Not in the market for Tomb Raider, but would purchasing that bundle permanently add Quantum Conundrum to our account if we’ve already added it when it was free in the IGC?
As for that initialism…
Another bad week for my ps+. I think it has been like 3 months since I downloaded a game. I bought Batman Arkham Asylum for $5 in that span but that is about it. I already have Hitman. When my subscription is over, I won’t be renewing. Thanks for the Tomb Raider bundle deal at $20.24 but I already got when you sold it for like $19.99 a couple months ago. Recycling deals now?
Hitman? Fine. Runner2? Fine. Star Wars Pinball? Fine for me and mine, but it’s an add-on with a standalone enhanced release, so it’s entirely legitimate to feel slighted with it occupying a game’s slot.
Machinarium? No. This happened with Jet Set Radio, too. I’d almost rather Sony put its foot down that, if two content-identical versions of a game are on the Store, one is not offered without the other. Runner2 miiight be exempted, since the versions will be under different publishers, but supporting publishers’ lack of Cross-Buy is infernal padding for your subscribers. Should have pushed for JSR on PS3 when we got it on Vita, and should have pushed for Mach. for Vita when we got it for PS3.
And Darkstalkers… Honestly, and fighter with a story mode will draw me, but even BlazBlu, BLAZBLUE, drew a “meh” from me, a non-Vita owner, due to oversaturation. This is worse for games with PS3 counterparts (TEKKEN 6, yeah?) that are capable of online play.
are you guys sure Quantum Conundrum has been removed from our DL_Q ?
i wonder what else has been removed by now from the day 1 ps+ members
Again, the PSP has a significant selection of JRPGs (traditional ones, not Action-RPGs) to sate portable subscribers’ thirsts for such content. If you can answer, how long has Darkstalkers been in the pipeline, and are there any classic-style JRPGs in that pipeline?
What I would love to see of the IGC is two native PS3 titles and two native PSV titles (staggered as 3-V-3-V), and a “Classics of the Month” line, featuring a single PS2, PS1, and PSP Classic each, with maybe a PS mini for a round four weeks of oldies.
And of course, ANY functionality to the Download List. And would it kill to allow us aimuktaneous access to unlock keys AND full games when buying after downloading a demo? It’s a pain to search them out, and baffling when they’re bundled separately (Mega Man 9 & 10 bundle was unowned since those were full games and I’d previously bought unlock keys, and the demo+key version of PixelKunk Eden isn’t even on the Store anymore). Not to mention Plus-subscripted demos when the freebie is only available as demo+key (what if the demo is pulled before we can legitimately “buy” it?).
And my requests: Mirror’s Edge (PS3), Dead Head Fred (PSP)
Or really any family-friendly PS3 “Full Game”. These chunkier games could use some approachability variety.
*PixelJunk (darn tiny, touchscreen typing; couldn’t’ve typo’d “PixelKrunk”?)
nothing new and free for the vita again ? that´s 2 weeks now.
Any word on a Borderlands 2 DLC or season pass sale for PS+ (or an rpg for IGC) for the month of Sept? Pretty stoked for tomorrow…
Life is like a hurricane, here in Duck…
A lot of these comments are ridiculous – PS+ has been an amazing value over the last year and I am building up a huge library of games to play. I just want to repeat my comment from last week since they were hardly any replies – I would really love to see Need for Speed or other racing games. Even if they aren’t in the IGC, some good sales would be really appreciated (EU had a good sale on NFS games this month).
I can’t help but laugh a little at the person who said “I don’t even care for what EU got, but they got 3 full PS3 games.” I wonder how many other people are complaining for the same hilarious reason. The value in the games is how much enjoyment you get out of them, not how much they cost. I am very happy this month because I got 3 great games (machinarium on vita, bit.trip runner 2, and star wars pinball) that I was planning on buying anyway. All three are going to give me lots of fun. The 3 “full” games EU got would have sat in my backlog like all of the other games of the like I have gotten from PS plus. Everyone has different tastes and different amounts of time for gaming, but this month is basically a homerun for me, so don’t go trying to say everyone thinks EU’s month is better.
Could we please get someone to look into the fact that Quantum Conundrum has disappeared from some people’s download lists? This has happened to myself, who got it free from Plus last November, and others, who got it as part of the Tomb Raider bundle the first time around.
Every time I bring this up, it gets ignored.
It’s frightening to know that something we purchase can be removed from our download lists without our knowledge.
If anyone remembers buying it as part of the Tomb Raider bundle, or downloading it free as part of Plus, check your download list to see if it’s still there.
My feedback is more of the same. No more PSP fighters or Indie games. I’d like something along the lines of those AAA titles that EU seems to get a lot of these days. Please and thank you.
wow, thats a great deal for tomb raider
So I’m a vits owner and plus subscriber for over a year. 9 Vita games on sale one has been free for ages 1 was just on sale a few weeks ago. So 7 games are on sale that we’ve never had access to t such a low price.
For a big sale to celebrate Japanese developers that’s kinda lacking to me.
I’ll get Tomb Raider for $20, I missed out on it a few months ago.
Need The Simpsons Hit & Run already >_<
Its such an awesome game, why isnt on the Network yet
MK Shaolin Monks on PS2 Classics!
and why isn’t Runner 2 available in the UK?:/
Will Sony ever add a sports game or 2? I don’t care if it’s a year old and a new one is coming out shortly or already out. I have only been a member for a couple months, so maybe I missed out on some?
Looking forward to Runner, I have played the crap out of Absolution already.
Could I make a suggestion for IGC for PSP/Vita. Instead of fighting games, would it be possible to get Sony exclusive games like Daxter, Syphon Filter, Twisted Metal Head On, Medievil Resurrection, Socom. I mean I like fighting games but think there’s better games to showcase the PSP.
I only have 114 gigs left out of my 500 gig HD thanks to Plus and the digital games I bought. I think it’s time for me to bump it up to a 1TB before I run out of space.
I’ll gladly take that 500GB off your hands. I’ve been deleting games to make room for months.
It’s great to be a PS Plus member, can’t wait to get my free game bit trip. And I will get the dlc as well.
Runner 2 looks decent I will give it a shot and keep in my library if I like it.
A great week! I am looking forward to Runner 2 (Although I would prefer the PS Vita version), a small discount on DLC for Runner 2, awesome discounts on PS Vita games and a great discount on Tomb Raider that I would’ve taken advantage of, if I didn’t already own both games :)
I have to mention though that the last 3 major titles for IGC for PS3 have been replaced after it hit the 1 year ish mark, so I hope that the 3 big PS Vita games get replaced soon enough as well.
I would love to see bigger memory cards for PS Vita and an overall price drop on both the PS Vita and the memory cards, A dedicated space in the PS Store for looking for game/apps patches or updates and being able to upgrade a sub account to a master account.
Yeah, it’s true. I don’t like this month’s PS+ either, but PS+ is still worth it for me. It’s mostly the sales that give me value. I will be participating in the Vita sale despite me not owning one yet. I will have at least a few games to play day one when I finally gets my hands on a Vita.
However, I’m not sure if I want to renew again after my subscription expires. Maybe I’m reconsider if you do another offer like getting 3 additional months or $10 PSN credit if you purchase a 1 year subscription. I rather take the 3 extra months thank you very much.
@Stranger_Eddie I hear you. I won’t spend the $20 bucks to buy Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus. You people should do what he says and not buy it. Because of that, I decided to buy the PS3 version.
BTW, it has been a while since we have had an exclusive or early beta.. hopefully Killzone or Tearaway :P
I have been disappointed with sony a few times over the years but my latest disappointment is that my brother in law bought Tomb Raider a week ago for $45 and now there is half off. It makes me not want to purchase full price and wait for specials. Why can’t this deals be announced ahead so we don’t fork over our hard earned money. Definitely not buying full price again…
Sure seems like there are a lot of angry school children who enjoy whining in this week’s comments section. And that’s ok, I guess, because freedom of speech applies to all US residents, even those US residents who are whiny school children. Oy. I must say it gets old reading comments about how the EU PS Plus is so much better than the US PS Plus. If that’s the case, can I contibute to a Kickstarter campaign to provide free moving services for these whiners? We’ll make one big trip, folks–grab your things, throw them into the Uhaul, get in the backseat, and don’t comment again until you’re officially in a region that qualifies you for membership to EU PS Plus.
Great deal on Katamari on Vita–great game, great price. Pick it up if you don’t already have it.
Would love to see 3D Dot Game Heroes as a free PS Plus game. It’s not something you can play on XBox 360 (as far as I know), it’s an adventure game that sucks you in and charms with it’s retro feel and beautiful blocky graphics.
I would like to see these in the US PS+
1) Red Dead Redemption
2)DmC
3) Max Payne 3
4) Darksiders 2
5) Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
6) ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection
7) Batman Arkham City
8) Mass Effect Trilogy
9) Grand Theft Auto 4 complete
10) Psychonauts
11) Limbo
12) L.A. Noire
13) Beyond Good and Evil HD
14) Dark Souls
15) Metal Gear Solid HD collection
Please keep the indie games coming. Contrary to the bizarre comment left earlier, it certainly isn’t true that “no one” loves these games. I love them, I’m somebody, and I’m not alone. Liking them doesn’t make me a hipster either. When did “hipster” become the go-to insult for everything that isn’t the same old shooter? When did variety and creativity become a thing to associate with people who pretend they’re too cool to like anything? Am I the only one who sees the irony in that? I digress! Anyway, thanks for another great game. Runner 2 is a treat, folks. Give it a chance before you dismiss it. Just because you can’t kill everything doesn’t mean it isn’t fun.
Why not put Catherine as the next free game for PS+ Subscribers?
I just realized there was a week 2 to that sale and it looks awesome! This week isnt as strong for me since I own SS already and $20 for Atelier is still a bit pricey
@ lisatsunami
Heh… that reminds me of when I was in High School (1,000 years ago), I worked at a pizzeria as a pizza maker. There was a customer up front who had been rude to our counter girls in the past, and a couple of us in the back noticed him. As soon as his order came though, one of the guys went to grab the dough (which was already prepped beforehand to the pan), laid it on the ground, put his big ol’ boot right in the center of it making a huge shoe print in the dough, then covered it up with the sauce and continued making his pizza… hee hee… the fool never realized he got a heaping helping of street scum with his pie.
Probably happens to Ryumoau everywhere he goes. :)

Bingo!
Sweet, been waiting months for a price drop to get Atelier Totori Plus.
After reading through the comments I would have to agree and disagree with some people. I don’t like the fact that you took up two game spots for the same game in different months. I do like the inclusion of Hitman: Absolution this month though. It’s about the only game I’ll be picking up this month.
Also, PS Plus seems to be getting boring and bland. Each month we get a set number of games as a discount or free, in addition to the cloud saves and auto updates (which I rarely use because I don’t like having to turn my system on/off when I don’t need to), free game trials (which we seem to be getting less and less of), and trial betas (also rarely receive). I pay $50 a year so that I can have more features and advantages that the general ps3 gamer. Although I enjoy the games I’m just getting bored with the service. There really hasn’t been anything NEW to the subscription in recent memory. As I will be getting a ps4 and be required to pay for a plus membership to play online I think I speak for everyone when I say PLEASE ADD MORE FEATURES.
Please let me know if you read this Morgan as I would like to see my message was read and relayed to the PS Plus team.
Thanks and keep up the good work!!
Dear Sony Employees,
I thank you for your hard work. I thank you for sifting through this minefield of a message area. That said, I read all four pages of comments and I see a consistency. It’s the same thing I was going to opt to write:
You’re letting us down badly with PS+ in recent months here in the NA when it comes to Vita. You have unique service here in PS+ which if used correctly could help you hang on to those customer’s you’ve managed to sell a Vita to. PS+ is essentially a service you offer in a hope lure away customers from elsewhere but more importntly to retain customers you already have as far as I see. A service to keep us from going over to Microsoft or Nintendo.
The thing is, you can tell us how wonderful your service is all you want but what we really care about is the game subscription. The other stuff is nice but you’re not luring us in with cloud saving. We care about the games and we have standards which you helped set. For some time now you’ve been falling very short with the PS Vita.
(continued…)
And PS+ isn’t the only letdown on the Vita. High promises you made on AAA titles such as:
a.) C.O.A.(worst rated game I ever saw and I know you didn’t develope it but I wasted $40 on this piece of crap and you should of never allowed it on your system in that state. It taints the Vita)
b.) MADDEN(EA Sport won’t even support your device anymore and it is extremely frustrating)
c.) Bioshock(Not talking about this one anymore, are ya? What the heck happened?)
Point made I think. As much as I love the device itself there has been letdown(price of memory cards) after letdown(remote play via PS3 bombed). PS+, HOWEVER, has been a shining becon of hope.
(continued…)
All those wonderful games that popped up in the beginning was truely a great thing and in my view a very special thing but you’ve gone stale and I’m almost at my limit here. I’ve been a customer since PS1 and I’ve never bailed on one of your consoles once. That’s about 18 years of being a Sony gamer but if you keep dropping the ball you’re going to lose me and you’re going to lose a lot of people like me. We care about the PS Vita. We care about it a lot. We’ve invested a lot into it. We want you to stop killing out enthusiasm and start bringing us the kind of excitement you did with the PS1, the PS2, the PS3 and even the PSP.
(continued…)
I don’t want to see another fighting game hit PS+ for a very, very, very long time. I don’t give a crap about pinball. Pinball is dead, man. My father played pinball and he’s in his 50’s. Even I’m 30 and I think pinball is lame. Do you think anybody in here cares about pinball? Especially the younger gamers who have little to no experience around actual pinball machines? Especially when they’re reading monthly about the mother load of great games the EU gets? I realize Sony NA and Sony EU are different entities but come on, are Sony EU that much better at their jobs than you guys? I don’t think that for a second. You started this thing off great, it’s gone bad, we’ve voiced our concerns and you just need to right the ship and keep your loyal customers happy. We’re not asking for a lot, just that you get back on track. You have a good example of what we value, you’re seeing it come out of the EU every month. Give us what we consider good games and not what you apparently think are good games.
(continued…)
In your next brainstorming session write on the whiteboard the heading “OFF-LIMITS”, next below it right these three points:
“Fighters of all kinds and platforms”
“Pinball”
“Indy”
Conduct the meeting, get your ideas, do what you normally do and I guarantee you in a month or two you will have far more happy posts here. You will have happy customers who feel they’re getting thier money’s worth because you’re giving them what they signed up for instead of neglecting that and instead rubbing their faces in the little frills you added after the fact. I like frills but you didn’t get my money because I was looking to buy frills.
(continued…)
Give us some RPGs, give us some action games, some platformers, some racing games, something other than a trunk load of redundancy, boriness and cheap trinkets.
We know you work hard. Just point that energy in the right direction. Don’t let us down Sony, we really want you to succeed.
Thank you and sorry for going six posts on this but I didn’t realize there was a word limit,
A.S.
aka. your loyal supporter of Playstation 1 through to Playstation Vita
You can’t be serious. How can you offer us Hitman Absolution, a game with technical issues that has left hundreds of people (at least) without the posibility of coming to an end, because the saved data gets lost randomly (the same for the Contracts Mode). At the same time, you are supporting the bad behavior of the company in charge of HA, because promissed on their official forum (forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?s=563c38ee688739184931ffe696d27f03&t=131742) to give us a solution but they have done nothing from the released date until now.
I consider this disrespectfull, specially coming from Sony…How is this possible?
