  • This is my second month with PS+ and I have to say that my first moth was awesome, but this one is really disappointing.

If you compare EU with US, EU is getting royalty treatment.

    US (PS3)
    Hitman Absolution
Bit.Trip Presents Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien
Zen Pinball 2: Star Wars Pinball (PS3 – PS Vita Cross Buy) (REALLY!?)

    UK (PS3)
    Need for Speed Most Wanted
    Spec Ops The line
    Mafia 2

Not to mention what they got for Vita.

They also knew since mid july the games of august, we had to wait until today August 5… I guess i will buy PS+ EU service for a full year like i did with the US service.

  • another crappy month

  • phewww Lucky me I was about to buy this game out of boredom, but I guess I’ll just have to wait till tomorrow.

  • This months PlayStation plus blows :-( there might be people they might be happy for ones particular item but as an overall it’s really bad

  • In July content poll I wish there was an option for NOTHING! Please add that option for August because unless there’s a surprise Vita IGC addition unveiled during Gamescom, I dlike to vote NOTHING again.

Seriously Morgan, I’ve defended you in the past but it’s ridiculous now.

  • Terrible update.

Everbody knows that US’s Plus is worst than Eur’s Plus for PS3 games since the 2012, but now for PS Vita also, they get good PS Vita games and we, PSP games.

This is the worst update since the 3 “black months” for PSN Usa: August, September and October 2012.

  • Awesome discounts. Bought Hitman on PC. Will play again on ps3. Also, you all need to BUY RAYMAN ORIGINS. For 5 bucks. Seriously. Thats just silly.

  • Fighting Games! the thing with fighting games is that they are taking quite a while to be enjoyable for people, as the learning curves they had are never short. mastering any of them will take forever.
that, is why i dont like having multiple fighting game titles installed on my system.

    do you?

  • sony team you guys need to keep hit man but change all the other crap. i already own hitman but it is a good game so leave that one so everyone can have a blast and change the rest of that crap. you guys have time still

  • Lousy.

I looked at Europe’s August games and saw one of the best line-ups they could have possibly offered. This is just disappointing.

It’s amazing what a huge gap there is between us and them.

They got three PS3 games, all of which were full retail games. We get one, along with a pinball game. Again. And on Vita, we get a repeat of a PS3 game. Again. I guess instead of cross-buy games as a single game, each version will be milked as its own game. And we get a ancient PSP fighting game. Again.

Whatever Europe is doing, they’re doing it right. You guys aren’t.

  • @MatheusRuggeri – The US has generally gotten all the same stuff Europe does, just at different times. Europe just got some stuff we have had for a while. Just enjoy your free games and be patient. I have way too many free games to ever beat them all anyway. Onward!

  • This is my chance to get Rayman origins for my Ps Vita! also hitman and the other games are ok, but it doesnt matter cause tomorrow ill get DRAGONS CROWN and TALES OF XILLIA and that’s all I care about ^_^!!!

  • Nobody should buy Rayman Origins Vita to teach them a lesson. EU got it as IGC. What a slap in the face. Don’t expect me to buy Rayman Legends when it comes out now.

  • I just bought Hitman Absolution the other day. I didn’t waste my money, I like the game but you guys should give us an earlier heads up to this stuff.

  • Consensus

    – People will always complain about getting free games.
    – If you paid for a game and it is free now, that does not make it a bad update.
    – Europe and US generally get the same stuff at different times.
    – Just relax. You are complaining about free games.

  • Another disappointing month!!! Nothing for me this whole month!

  • AvoidTalkingMice
if they are free games then why do u have to have that huge + logo by your avatar?

  • please no more fighting and psp games!!!!

Morrgan response, hmmmmmm I think they want more more fighting and psp games jk

  • @AvoidTalkingMice, that may be largely true for PS3, but not for Vita – EU has gotten way more and better AAA Vita titles than US. MGS HD, LEGO LOTR, and even freaking Rayman Origins, which they’re trying to pass off to us with just a discount.

  • Seriously? More a pinball game?

  • and xbox gold members get Crackdown… hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • I was hoping for a racing game like Gran Turismo or even NFS. I already got Hitman and got a platinum on it, pretty easy.

  • Serious question PS+ staff – why do you continue to waste the Vita spot with so many fighting games almost every month in spite of so many paying members complaining about it?
Check other gaming forums – a lot of angry rants going on right now due to another fighting game choice.
I know people complain about almost everything here – but this seems to be what gets most people all angry . . .

  • I’m super happy about the Vita support this month. Although I’m not interested on Star Wars pinball or Darkstalkers I’m gonna jump on the vita games for sale. I’ve wanted Rayman origins, escape vektor, machinarium vita, and superfrog hd.

Don’t know why the vita version of rayman origins is more expensive than the ps3 version though..

  • ORIGINALLY post from batman

Stop with the damn PSP fighting games. Actually, stop everything you’re doing and do whatever Europe is doing. Our version of Plus isn’t just terrible by comparison… it’s just terrible.

  • Noooooooo! Pity it put these games so poor really! plus those of Europe are much better!

  • usually I don’t like to ***** but I think it’s time because of plus for Vita, another PSP fighting game! really?! and Machinarium, I completed that game in PS3 even before it was free in Plus (happy supporting that game when it came out on PS3), I’m sure lots of us don’t want a game we already had for free before in PS3, I know not everyone who owns a Vita has a PS3 but it shouldn’t feel like owners of both consoles get screw with the IGC for Vita or PS3 (I also hated when we got Jet set radio again, but for PS3).

PS. Thanks for Hitman, I’m gonna give it a try.

  • Another weak month for me.

    Hitman. Too violent for me.

Runner 2 . A good game I’m sure but I own the first one and never got around to finishing it so I’m not to excited for this one.

Zen Pinball 2: Star Wars Pinball . The only game this month I’m eager to play, More tables for ZP2 are always welcome.

Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower . Not interested in yet another fighting game.

Machinarium . Great game but as I said when the PS3 version was free I’ve already beaten it on PC.

4.5 out of 10 the month.

  • Good for Hitman, but still superioir PSN EU, in titles and number of games for PS3, many hoped NFS: MW :/

  • Mixed feelings about this month’s line-up. Already had Runner2 for Wii U and can’t see any reason to switch platforms, no interest in Darkstalkers (can we please not get another Vita/PSP fighting game again any time soon), already had Machinarium for PS3 (but I guess a Vita version is nice), no interest in pinball even with Star Wars attached, and a bit iffy about Hitman Absolution (but I guess I wanted to play it despite the reveiws). I just hope there are some good discounts along the way, but chances are you’ll put them on here later, anyway, so I don’t know why I bother. Please include more PS1 and PS2 classics in the collection, or at least discount them more often.

  • Wow, lots of negativity in the comments this week. I think this is a pretty good update so don’t think everyone here is unhappy Morgan. Hopefully we see some more sales in the coming weeks! I picked up that max Payne 3 and am enjoying so far

  • usually I don’t like to ***** but I think it’s time because of plus for Vita, another PSP fighting game! really?! and Machinarium, I completed that game in PS3 even before it was free in Plus (happy supporting that game when it came out on PS3), I’m sure lots of us don’t want a game we already had for free before in PS3, I know not everyone who owns a Vita has a PS3 but it shouldn’t feel like owners of both consoles get a lesser service with the IGC for Vita and PS3 (I also hated when we got Jet set radio again, but for PS3).

PS. Thanks for Hitman, I’m gonna give it a try.

  • Thanks for Star Wars Pinball, Plus Team! Would love to see Snake Eater in the IGC for Vita some time.

  • usually I don’t like to b*tch about but I think it’s time because of plus for Vita, another PSP fighting game! really?! and Machinarium, I completed that game in PS3 even before it was free in Plus (happy supporting that game when it came out on PS3), I’m sure lots of us don’t want a game we already had for free before in PS3, I know not everyone who owns a Vita has a PS3 but it shouldn’t feel like owners of both consoles get a lesser service with the IGC for Vita and PS3 (I also hated when we got Jet set radio again, but for PS3).

  • Ask and you shall receive. All you whiners keep saying that EU+ gets all the good stuff. Then you complain when we get the same thing? Worthless people. Bunch of effing 5 year olds on here.

  • I feel sony is just manipulating us by giving us crapy games for the vita hoping that we’ll jump on these vita sales or buy a newer game

  • Morgan, how do the free Vita games get picked each month? I’ve noticed Europe gets way more mainstream vita offerings compared to North America. Seems every month they have a “major” retail game for free. Those appeal to a much wider audience than the indies and niche titles we receive. Last month Dokuro, this month Pinball and Machinarium? Really? And why do we have to pay $5 for games that Europe got free in previous months (Mortal Kombat, Rayman Origins)? Is this what we should continue to expect from NA PS+? Why the huge gap in quality between regions? Please give an explanation as some of us are getting quite frustrated. At this rate I won’t be renewing.

  • @post 213

About your statement: “Europe and US generally get the same stuff at different times”

Sorry man, but youre wrong. VERY WRONG. Check at google image something like “playstation plus comparison” and you will see how wrong is that.

EU plus is far better, at short or long time. Almost every month they receive better updates than us, but this month and July, thy received a infinity better update than us, and exists no argue about that.

  • I was really hoping that August’s Club Nintendo Rewards would be amazing so I could compare them to PS+, but sadly they’re far crappier than this month’s Plus offerings. Mario Golf, Brain Age, Play Action Football, and Wario’s Woods.

Still. Where are the Vita games? Machinarium is amazing, and even though I finished it on PS3, I’ll gladly take a mobile copy of it! But I’d love to see something like Rayman Origins on the IGC for Vita. Or Unit 13, or Persona 4 Golden.

If you really want Vita players playing PSP games please copy down this short list on a pad of paper and smack Square-Enix in the face with it. :P

    Final Fantasy I Anniversary
    Final Fantasy II Anniversary
    Star Ocean: First Departure
    Star Ocean: Second Evolution

  • Lousy month again…june was the best….but damn tis the worst month…dint we mention no indie game…more JRPG….do you even watch the poll result…

  • guys do not for get to vote because this time you can leave a comment

  • Us keeps getting games that eu gets months ago

  • Aw maaaannn, I just got Hitman 2 months ago from Amazon… what happened to Need for Speeeeeeed?

  • Terrible update!

I have defended Ps plus so many times but its just getting harder and harder to enjoy!

Indie games should be free on the vita ONLY. and at the most there should only be ONE.
That Leaves room for a RETAIL title, With Trophies.

PSP games, especially fighters, are horrible. They dont have trophies and they arnt using the full capability of the $250 Vita

Please put AT LEAST 2 AAA games on the PS3

Its shameful when comparing NA Plus to EU plus

    I love the Sales though

  • Nothing for me in this month’s post either, but I have a big backlog on my PS3 and Vita so it’s fine for me. However, I can understand the complaints about “yet another fighting game?” since I don’t like that genre at all.

  • “Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower (PS Vita, Compatible with PS Vita)”

Aren’t all PS Vita games compatible with the PS Vita?

  • Unfortunately PS PLUS EURO is so much better!!! Why they deserve more than us??

  • Really??

You guys were getting better >.> You were starting to come up in level and even seemed like you were getting on par with Europe here.

Europe got….count with me….not 1….not 2….but THREE RETAIL GAMES!!! THREE!!!!!

One of them we already got, but jesus christ!!!

You guys are horribly inconsistent with your month to month games. And what is up with this “Here’s the PS3 version this month, and here’s the Vita version this month” crap? This is becoming a trend, and UNWELCOME trend.

I think everyone is a tad sick of Pinball and Fighting games at this point.

Also, @213 – there are a LOT of games Europe has gotten that we haven’t yet.

Just going by retail games, if I went by PSN games this would be longer –

    Dead Space 2
    Red Dead Redemption
    Bulletstorm
    Crysis 2
    Batman Arkham City
Mortal Kombat (Both PS3 and Vita)
    Dead or Alive 5
    Mass Effect 3
    MGS HD (Vita)
    God of War
    F1 Race Stars
    LotR: War in the North
    Catherine
    ICO/SotC Collection
    Rayman Origins (Vita)
    Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
    Unit 13 (Vita)
    Lego LotR (Vita)
    NFS Most Wanted

In a year. TWENTY ONE GAMES, IN TWELVE MONTHS. That’s nearly two games a month more. That is a HUGE disparity between the US and EU.

  • They complain that we get Hitman Absolution, which EU got months ago. Well they get Spec Ops: The Line, which NA got months ago.

Also, there are haters that no matter what is released, they complain…..Get over it. Either enjoy what they offer or just don’t renew. It’ll be your loss.

For everyone Requesting Red Dead Redemption on the IGC, sorry to say, it has already been on the IGC (last summer) & unless PS+ makes one week each month a “Flashback” Week (Meaning a re-release of a previously IGC game.), you are out of luck.

Since 2012 E3, PS+ members have been spoiled with a game release, EVERY WEEK. If you were a PS+ member prior to that you would get games a couple of times a month, with sometimes just Sales. Be grateful for what you get & stop with the “Grass is always greener” syndrome. If you don’t like NA PS+, the switch to the EU PS+ (Just so you know, they complain just as much in their forums about what NA gets & they don’t).
