Will Final Fantasy V ever become playable on the Vita? The EU store has it and it works just fine on the Vita according those that have downloaded it. I downloaded this game under the assumption it would work as well, yet no dice. Very disappointing.

Seriously I went into my cart to buy the Simpsons and X-men and I had $23.00 it said I only had $13.00 which would be it would have changed me for Oddworld. After buying the games I went into my cart and I have $13.00 something so yeah got a little scared there.

@78 Hmm, I just redeemed the code and received both titles… did you continue through past the additional health warning? If so, I would actually contact Sony first, as Konami will likely ask you if you had contacted Sony yet if not (the ol’ runaround). Also this is kind of an obvious one, but to cover all basis, you didn’t already buy MGS1 from the PSN Store right?
As far as VR Missions, I’m guessing that Konami will likely keep that out of the NA store as a standalone download for at least a month, as it gave some people a reason to buy the Legacy Collection (aside from VR Missions and the two video cuts of the MGS1 and MGS2 Digital Novels, I already had everything in multiple formats… in fact I’m giving my copy of the PS3 HD Collection to a friend since the exact content is included here; keeping MGS4 though since I was able to sneak in the collector’s edition =p).

I have previous posted this, but this is how I handle the PSN Store (I’ll stick to the NA/US version since that’s what this blog is about). If there is a must snag game/addon/etc, wait until after 10pm EST/EDT and it will likely be there, which leads me into my next point, if you don’t like seeing a store with unstocked shelves, wait until Wednesday to check it, it’s still a day earlier than XBL updates =p.
Since the last Vita system update, whenever I buy a game, the download won’t start, then when I back out it freezes and I have to shut it off and restart and go back into the store and download the game from my download list. Anyone else have this issue?
Secondly, Pinball Heroes is good, but I feel I cant play to my optimal abilities. Holding the vita vertically means its awkward to use the buttons but i dont like using touch controls. Holding it horizontally means I can use the triggers, but the screen moves with the ball and its impossible to plan ahead. Can you PLEASE add an option to zoom out while keeping the Vita horizontal?
Lastly, Total Recoil is really fun and a steal at $2.50. Its annoying every time I go to the store to buy an upgrade and it forces me to connect just to tell me there is no paid content yet. I wasn’t looking for paid content. I just want to upgrade my items. Please make it only connect to the PSN if I want to buy coins (which I dont)

@115 I assume you were not a plus subscriber when Just Cause 2 was part of the IGC. I actually pre-ordered a retail version of the game and had mostly beaten it, but then it came to IGC so I cashed in the retail disc (got to keep the pre-order DLC of course). It’s still a great deal on the PS3, but if you are a PC gamer you can likely pick it up in a price drop for ~$5 and then you’ll be able to try out the unofficial multiplayer mod. It still has some bugs in it but mods really extend already great titles like GTA4 and JC2.

Its almost 9:30 PM where I live and the store STILL hasn’t updated. I was really looking forward to spending my last day off for the next week playing some new games. The What’s New section of the XMB shows an ad for this weeks Summer Sale games but when I click it I only get last weeks. Looking through the store absolutely nothing has updated. I am really upset about this. I’ve waited all day and I’ll be lucky to get any real gaming time until next week. I remember when the store used to be updated by like 2 in the afternoon. What the hell happened!?

if you guys search the free games and the games on sale that you desire you will find them on sale even though the store isn’t showing the updates.

this isn’t new either guys, this is always the quickest way to get content before the store actually shows the ads. Just go online (here) look up the sales and search the desired games on PSN so you don’t have to wait all day+ for the store. Simple, easy, no fuss, do this so we don’t have to hear you guys moaning when there is a simple solution. DO IT, DO IT.
@117 I have the same problem with downloading stuff on Vita from the store. If I stand right next to the wireless router, sometimes it will start downloading. Most of the time though it gets stuck preparing the download. It has been like this for me for some time. I hope they fix it.
btw Silent Hill Vita for $7.50 is brilliant. There is a small dlc “expansion” for it which is like $1.99, that seems worth getting with it.

Someone asked something similar in the first comment page. Basically you can download on your ps3 but won’t be able to play it. It’s only playable if you transfer it to your psp/vita. Hope cleared some confusion for you.

I just want to leave a suggestion, even though it doesn’t really have anything to do with the PS Store update. Regarding the PS3 XMB, in the Game drop down section, under PS Vita System Application Utility…
After downloading a vita compatible game onto my PS3, I copy the vita/ PSP game onto my Vita. Then I need to go back and copy it back to the PS3, just so I have a back up of the game on the PS3. This processes seems unnecessary and should just be, download on the PS3, install directly from the PS3 into the PS Vita System Application Utility folder in the PS3 XMB, and from there I should be able to copy the game as I please.
Also, I would really, really prefer to be able to see what games and apps are on the PS Vita App folder on the PS3 XMB. Currently, you only show to files labeled, Applications (PS Vita) and Applications (PSP/Other) as opposed to an actual list of the games and apps. The file system seems to take up as much space as it would be to show the individual files,so it’s not like the Vita App folder is compressed or anything.
Please sort this out asap.

Can you please tell us if there is some type of credit program for those of us who have already purchased The Pinball Arcade Table Packs 11 & 12 and want to purchase the Season Two Pass for $30?
I don’t think it makes sense to wait until well after the first 2 table packs are made available before offering a Season 2 Pack. It decreases the savings by 50%!
Farsight has said they will give credits on iOS and Android for players in this situation, but no information has been given on the PS3 port.
Please let us know.. I have not purchased table packs from this month because I don’t know.

Are these PSN/SEN employees capable of doing anything right? First of all, every other week they forget to list something. Another thing is that updates are inconsistent, and occasionally messed up, like this update was.
We also are unable to have our list of games in the XMB alphabetized but only by last played and creation date, even though my trophies are listed alphabetical.
Oh and then when the CollaPS3 happened, the PS Store was offline for 2 entire months.
Are PSN employees just a bunch of lazy inept hippies or what? Why are they not fired by now?

The store is still not updated correctly particularly the plus section(s) so you still may have to search for your content in some cases.

Nothing wrong with offering sales on these games to new subscribers who missed out on them, or to ex-subscribers who no longer have access to them but may still wish to own them at a lower price.
There’s still plenty of offers for long term subscribers to mull over.
And don’t forget, it’s the publishers who decide to put their games on sale. It’s not like the store team is holding back or recycling sales on purpose just to annoy their customers. This is just what they were given to work with. If you don’t see a particular game on sale that you think should be (for whatever reason), it’s because the publisher hasn’t agreed to do it… yet. Could be a contractual thing too, where a publisher agrees in advance to drop the price on their content, either temporarily or permanently, on a specific date (or dates, in this case) sometime after it’s release.
Stop with all the crying! If you want Oddworld for plus just search it up in the store! The price has already been changed to free for PS+ members. I’m assuming there’s some technical problems that’s causing the store to not show up the updates. But they are there!!! Search them up and use the list Morgan provided as your shopping list! Let the adventure begin!! They can’t spoon fed you all the time!
