With E3 right around the corner, everyone here at PlayStation is putting the final touches on what’s sure to be an exciting event for gamers everywhere. Among other things, we’re excited to see PlayStation Plus continue to evolve, and we’re happy to announce the inclusion of three new PS3 Full Games.
With next week’s PlayStation Store update, we’ll welcome UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and LittleBigPlanet: Karting into the Instant Game Collection!
As many of you keenly observed in Monday’s PlayStation Plus blog post, three PS3 Full Games – LittleBigPlanet 2, inFAMOUS 2, and Ratchet & Clank All 4 One – have only four days left in the Instant Game Collection. This means that it’s your last chance to download these great titles as they’ll be stepping down after a year of faithful PS Plus service.
June 11th PlayStation Plus Update
UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception (PS3) Single Player and Free to Play Multiplayer Bundle
PSN Price: This item is only Free for PS Plus members

XCOM: Enemy Unknown (PS3)
PSN Price: $39.99, Free for PS Plus members

LittleBigPlanet Karting (PS3)
PSN Price: $39.99, Free for PS Plus members

You’ll find all the content detailed above with their Plus benefits active when the PlayStation Store updates on Tuesday; along with additional Plus content that was announced as part of the June preview, and special discounts as well.
Speaking of the June preview, with all this PS Plus content, this month is shaping up to be one of the best PlayStation Plus months yet. UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception (PS3), XCOM: Enemy Unknown (PS3), and LittleBigPlanet: Karting (PS3) are all dropping next week, joining Deus Ex: Human Revolution (PS3) which joined PS Plus last week. You’ll still have Machinarium (PS3), Saints Row The Third (PS3), Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward (PS Vita), and God Eater Burst (PSP, PS Vita compatible), all coming in June as well! It’s never been a better time to join up.
We’ve got more to come next week, so again, make sure you watch for all the PlayStation announcements to come at E3. In fact, you can watch Monday’s press conference right here on PlayStation.Blog. In the meantime, if you’ve got feedback or thoughts on this special PS Plus update, leave them below, or, if you’re looking to engage with more of the PS community, make sure you head over to the PlayStation Community Forums to discuss this week’s news more, find other topics to contribute your thoughts to, or start one for yourself. See you in the comments!
Oh my god. This nails it out of the park. Sony is really putting the hurt on MS. And this is coming from someone who plays his 360 equally, if not more, than his PS3.
So looking forward to XCOM.
Another great month for Plus!
Eh slightly dissapointed as im only interested in XCOM. LBP Karting was a mediocore game and Uncharted 3 I played and beat. That’s just me though. Still an amazing month as I am playing the hell out Deus Ex and plan to go crazy with Saints Row the Third, XCOM, and God Eater.
If it comes down to it though I would rather have a great older game than an average new one.
Wow!! What a lineup for June.I was about to try these games out and all of a sudden,Sony will make them free for PS Plus members.I have to say,they really have outdone themselves and I hope they continue to bring more excellent games to the PS Plus.
I’m so glad that i subscribed already! :D please bring Final Fantasy Crisis Core to the Vita!!! :D
Wow just wow cant believe it. love PSN+ <3 :D
I hope this comes with a free 1TB hdd too..
Uncharted 3 digital 87GB
XCOM: Enemy Unknown 7.6GB
LittleBigPlanet Karting 7GB
While Uncharted 3 is a blockbuster and an amazing game I feel this does not make a great Plus freebie.
I think just about everyone who wanted to play this has already purchased it and as I mentioned in the past, these huge games do not make great digital downloads. They are the type of games that should stay on Blu-ray disc.
Uncharted 3 digital 87GB
XCOM: Enemy Unknown 7.6GB
LittleBigPlanet Karting 7GB
Saint’s Row The Third 7.2GB
Deus Ex: Human Revolution 9.5GB

Time to upgrade your PS3’s hard drive.
When I signed up for Plus in January, I also upgraded to a 1 TB hard drive. Two of the best decisions I’ve ever made in gaming. I already have Uncharted 3, but I’m going to pick up the digital copy too – so convenient to have it on my hard drive. Just about every other PS3 Plus game since January have been games I didn’t have in my collection. For Vita it’s been about 60-40, games I needed to games I have, but has been worth it for Gravity Rush and Retro City Rampage alone. PS Plus is the best deal in gaming, in my opinion, rivalling and exceeding Steam sales and Humble Bundles for the PC.
Two questions (and they may both be stupid):
First, when you say, “we’ve got more to come next week,” do you mean, more announcements of content coming to PS+ or just that its E3 and there will be a lot more Playstation announcements in general?
Second, I don’t have a Vita but I do own a PSP. Can my PSP take advantage of PS+ with games like God Eater, which are for both systems or does the program only work on a Vita and a PS3?
@355 and 356 (SpooNManX)
Have you not seen my previous comment regarding Uncharted 3’s download size? (IE you don’t need all of that space, maybe 20 at most)
@358
It should work on the PSP.
@Tjoeb123:
Yes, but I would want multiplayer, all maps, and the 3D support if I were to bother grabbing the DLC version.
My main point was that these large games don’t really make the best Plus freebies.
Not to mention you can buy it brand new on Blu-Ray for less than $20 USD.
There are also quite a lot of people with Plus who have really slow internet. A fiend of mine said it took him a week to download a 4GB demo. I don’t have this problem myself, but you have to feel a little bad for them.
I can hardly wait till next month when all the complaining returns because July won’t be as “awesome” as June was. I have lost faith in this community. First Gametrailers, then Siliconera…is any place safe from stupidity.
I think its a great update this month, still backlogged on a bunch of games from PS+. Been playing MH3U on Wii U and Metro Last Light on PC. My PS3 has been getting ignored sadly.
i cant believe some people are actually complaining about this… wait no i can, i already knew some people are not reasonable.
@356 no thank you, already have a 1TB hdd. thats plenty.
i lent my copy of uc3 to a friend and have been wanting to beat it again but his work schedule has been making it slow for him to return. not sure if ill download it or just wait until he finishes the game.
for anyone that has a 60 GB hdd and wants to complain about it, its your fault so please dont. A TB hard drive you can buy for under 100 dollars. which is cheap. and it takes about 10 mins to change them out and for me going to from a 200GB to a TB, took a couple of hours for backup and restore.
@361 The multiplayer is actually mandatory to even download the single player experience. (In other words, it’s the add-on for the F2P version)
@361 so your saying the game of a year winning classic, is not a good freebie… oh yeah because you dont have a big hdd or your internet is slow….. yet i think its a great freebie none the less. but then again i do live in a city and have hi-speed cable, which i pay 30 dollars a month for. just because someone chooses not to get high speed internet or lives in an area that doesn’t have it available doesnt mean its worthless for the rest of us to get such a great game. just understand you’re opinion, although i get what you saying and can respect that, is not the truth.
OMG…I literally had Xcom in my amazon checkout right now. I was just browsing thru some gaming sites when I came across this and saved myself $20. This is amazing! keep it up Sony!
HELLLOOOOO PSN plus how about the psvita-only users?? Did you forget about us? We know there are still very few game library of psvita games but there are tons of psp games. Only 1 free psp game for this month?
They seriously should re-consider the treatment they gave to psvita user. Sony is planning to discontinue PSVITA? THey should give psvita-only user tons of psp games to increase the psvita community.
I <3 Playstation Plus
@372 Yep.
@351 Games change every week.
@352 Little Big Planet Karting had a beta last year or so.
ps vita igc probably wont be replaced til november cause the igc for the vita didnt start til november last year. so it hasnt been 12 months for those games
WOW!! I can’t believe this. Awesome months Guys!. Thank You!
X-Com is one of my favourite games.
Oh and my little brother is going to enjoy the LBPK
@375 & 376 I hope you got LBP2 before it vanishes. Have yet to play X-COM.
D@mn you Sony for abandoning psvita users.
@378 Hold your horses there. Sony has yet to reveal the future of Vita as E3 is next week.
@Morgan Haro
Looks like a soild update,I’ll make sure to try Saints Row 3 and XCOM when they come out.
@379 they already revealed the upcoming games. There is nothing to expect for vita this coming E3 only the release date of revealed vita games. As of now there is no reason to use my remaining funds to subscribe to ps plus. No reason for vita-only users to subscribe to this.
*PLOP* that was the sound of my jaw hitting the floor. This beyond a reasonable doubt,the greatest update in PS Plus history. Hehe, i’m sure it has nothing to do with a certain press release that a certain company put out yesterday. LOL we got ya back Sony.
Oh man I’ve been dying for a digital copy of Uncharted for awhile but I didn’t really have the money (or the hard drive space) to spare for it. Also going to have to try the other two for sure. Thanks a ton Sony, PSN Plus really does just keep getting better and better!
Great games this month. I haven’t play uncharted yet nor xcom, and bought LBP Karting on sale for $10, so I don’t feel too bad. This may get me to finally get a 1 TB hard drive. On that note, has anyone heard if the same laptop size hard drives will work on PS4? Once I make the switch, I’d love to be able to just pop in the 1TB on the new console.
@8: Yeah, Uncharted 3 isn’t a strong first party game or anything… oh wait.
This is simply one HELL of an update and I’m shocked that the selection is so good (ESPECIALLY XCOM, well worth a try whether you think you’ll like it or not, TRY IT!!) but I just have to suggest that maybe we could get some more free avatars and themes too, perhaps?Both of those have been extremely neglected as of late and to be honest, I die a little inside when I pay 50 cents for one avatar, which is what you have to do if you want a good selection of avatars that are actually cool.Some more good free ones would be wonderful.
Wow…great update.
Morgan, you are so calm in your replies. You guys sound like some of the whiniest, most ungrateful gamers I have seen. If you do not like yhe content Sony gives you for FREE, don’tpay for the service!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! (Gets out Megaphone)
Virtue’s Last Reward is one of the best games I have played in MY ENTIRE HISTORY OF PLAYING VIDEOGAMES.
I strongly recommend playing the original first before playing this one though as the two are directly connected sadly the first one is on DS Nine Persons Nine Hours Nine Doors.
Virtues Last Reward was awarded best handheld title of the year by Gamespot last year. I cannot stress enough how amazing the game is I really can’t put it into words.
It was also extremely hard to come by in ANY retail store. I work for Gamestop I couldn’t get it there I had to order it on Amazon. I didn’t realize until later on I could have downloaded it off of the Playstation Store.
This is such a treat to be receiving this game in Plus don’t underestimate how big a deal this is. The physical copies of that game are EXTREMELY limited. The original game (999) sealed with its preorder bonus usually goes for upwards of 400 dollars. If you have a Vita I cannot recommend the game enough.
On another note I was going to buy Xcom and Machinarium on my next paycheck. Ah beautiful irony!
I knew you would be replacing those 3 games at E3 the next year since most games in the instant game collection stick around for about a month or so but those had been added next year. Every game being offered is a great one. I already have the others though. Still this is amazing. One of the best updates to PS PLUS EVER.
My future prediction since The Last of Us is going digital , at E3 2014 or later that year we’ll see TLoU as a part of IGC :D.
p.s: From Blogcast there is info about huge discounts on some big titles right ?
Had to laugh at this:
“If you do not like yhe content Sony gives you for FREE, don’tpay for the service!”
oO
What are you doing to my hard drive!!! :-)
I love Uncharted 3 (2 is still my favorite) and I haven’t played the other two titles. Well… The beta of LBP Karting, so kind of. This month game rotation should keep me busy all summer!
I’m going to throw in my vote again as well about providing more non-M full games in the IGC. It’s by no means a deal breaker for me, but I would definitely appreciate it. I guess I’m hitting that ripe old age where M loses some appeal.
I’m glad you had a great vacation!
Please bring sometime PS All Stars to tha IGC…thats the only exclusive game that I couldn’t get excited for therefore I didn’t bought.I’m sure a lot of people here would like to see PS All Stars on IGC too.Peace.Excellent update.
I bought my PS Vita because Plus would give me Vita games too. After the initial happiness, now I’m frustrated.
Please give me VITA GOOD GAMES!
That is all pretty spectacular.
I imagine many will find LBPKarting much better than the rapid price drop would indicate. I mean my main gripe with it (and why I waited for the severe discount) was that the niche was already filled by Modnation.
Xcom and Dues Ex I have always been really interested in playing and just never gotten around to it. I hear good things!
Know little about the Vita titles, but if they are of the same caliber I have lots of reason to be excited and equally annoyed that I have finally beaten the sequester and landed a new job!
Great update, and Morgan’s replies @ 37 and 47 should be regularly quoted when people complain about the plus updates. Not to shut them up, but because they politely say what is up and why to common gripes. I mean, I know better, and I think being a long time member helps one get that perspective, having some months that do not excite you is a small price to pay for having some stellar ‘free’ games on other months; especially ones you normally would not have looked at.
So, long winded thanks. :)
yeaahhh. i ll have all them
Little Big Planet Karting – bought it already. Uncharted 3 – bought it already. XCom Enemy Unknown – bought
it already. :(
OMG! OMG! FU**ING XCOM! UNCHATED 3!!! LBP KARTING! OMG! THANKS SONY!!!
