From the digital releases of the “Giant Slayer” and “Teen Wolf” to the rental availability of two other hot movies, there are a lot to cover in this week’s Video Unlimited New Release Recap.
At the top this week is Jack the Giant Slayer (plus Bonus Features) available to buy in SD or HD two weeks before it hits DVD and Blu-ray! An age-old war is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the long-banished giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack (Nicholas Hoult), into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend and gets the chance to become a legend himself. With special bonus features, learn what it takes to be a giant slayer, including a detailed look at the giants of Gantua and tactics to attack a creature four times your size.
Teen Wolf is back with Season 3! Scott’s a non-athletic, socially awkward high school sophomore, but a single wolf bite changes everything. Now he is the popular star of his lacrosse team and dating the new girl in town. Scott’s “new” abilities also pull him into the middle of a war between werewolves and werewolf hunters. He must try to curb his animalistic desires and urges while trying to maintain his relationship with Allison and his best friend, Stiles. Be sure to explore additional clips for free in the “Free TV Extras” section under TV Shows.
Now available for rent the first time – A Good Day to Die Hard and Identity Thief. Bruce Willis is back in action in A Good Day to Die Hard – a mind-blowing, heart-stopping, rip-roaring, action-packed movie. Willis stars as John McClane, the heroic New York cop with a knack for being in the wrong place at the right time. From action to comedy, Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy lead an all-star cast in Identity Thief – a hilarious blockbuster hit about an accounts rep that has one week to clear his name after a con artist steals his identity. Don’t forget to check out super scary 6 Souls – Julianne Moore stars in this haunting thriller about a psychiatrist who finds herself in grave danger as she unravels a mystery involving a patient with multiple personalities.
If you are a suspense thriller fan, be sure to purchase in HD, Stoker – Nicole Kidman, Mia Wasikowska and Matthew Goode are starring in this darkly wicked mystery about disturbing family secrets. Following the tragic death of her father, India Stoker meets her charismatic uncle, whom she never knew existed. However, it becomes clear the shocking secrets of his past could destroy her family’s future.
